Multiple issues with this property. The first was not their fault, it was through Expedia. When I explained the issue with the lady at the front desk, she was a bit rude. Next, I was put into a room that did not look cleaned at all. The bed sheets were dirty, the room smelled and there was hair/dirt in the bathroom. They accommodated and moved me to another room where I heard what sounded like a mouse or rustling near the vent. I checked out a day early. I was uncomfortable staying. Heads up: The jacuzzi is not in use! Looks like it may be under construction. It was not worth the money honestly.

Nice clean room. Great beds. Spacious room. A little pricey. Tv remote didn’t work. Had to be let into pool as I’d cards didn’t work to get in ourselves. Price toooo high for room. Pool ladder step broken and cut my foot.

Most terrible hotel stay I have had in a while. Hotels near by have crime coming in and out. The hotel had no pool towels, only 2 towels to a room. You could not access the pool without the master key and key machine was down at first therefore you needed to be escorted every time you went in and out of your room. You also needed a key card for the lights in the room to work but no one was told during check in. The breakfast was also not heated up prior to 7am when breakfast was supposedly to start. They definitely are short staffed and have limited resources. The coffee bar was covered in ants and the guy at the front desk showed NO care in the world. This all was only in a two nights stay!!

I have stayed at multiple TownePlace Suites in the Detroit area. The location is the best for me. However the stock of items in the kitchen were minimal. When I asked the front desk for more glasses (we only had 2), I was offered the paper cups used for coffee. Granted this serves drink purposes, but I am in town with family and I like to offer a glass drink as I have at the other TownePlace Suites locations. There were only 2 spoons as well. There was no dish washing soap as I have had at the other TownePlace Suites locations. I really like the indoor pool.

The staff here was very friendly. Each time I needed anything they got it right away (towels, extra plates, etc.) This hotel was also clean and noise free. Not to mention the free breakfast wasn’t too bad either for a quick bite to start your day. I’d recommend this hotel for business travelers or family travelers!

I have stated here a few times when I come to Canton for work and I love it here. I haven’t even bothered to try any of the other hotels in the are. It’s clean and quiet. Great location from almost everything.

After we switched because door would not pock on first room: Nice, clean, comfortable room. Good customer service, if you asked for something.. cleaning service was minimal very little cleaning done during our 8 day stay but clean upon arrival. Room was lovely. Coffee pot cracked they replaced it right away. Bed was one of the most comfortable ive ever slept on. Very friendly staff. The only issue was our room was right directly over the lobby, they played music all night long very loud it was instrumental nice music but too loud. There was a speaker outside which made it louder for us right above them. I called the front desk at 1 am no one answered. I had trouble sleeping all night. I was very very unhappy I had N early morning flight and am exhausted.

The room itself was okay, could probably be updated some. We had an issue with the tv volume which wouldn’t go down, front desk tried to help but was unsuccessful. I did complain about kids making a ton of noise in the next room & front desk immediately resolved the issue. The breakfast area was very clean but the food itself wasn’t the best. Wasn’t the best stay but wasn’t the worst either.

This hotel is over priced. You can find comparable hotels in the immediate vicinity for less. The room needed an update, the tv didn’t work, we had a pet room with carpet😯, we ran out of toilet paper. Felt like it was a cheaper hotel brand that Marriott bought, put their name on and raised the prices.Also pet fee was $120 for a 2 night stay.

The staff here was very friendly. Each time I needed anything they got it right away (towels, extra plates, etc.) This hotel was also clean and noise free. Not to mention the free breakfast wasn’t too bad either for a quick bite to start your day. I’d recommend this hotel for business travelers or family travelers!

Multiple issues with this property. The first was not their fault, it was through Expedia. When I explained the issue with the lady at the front desk, she was a bit rude. Next, I was put into a room that did not look cleaned at all. The bed sheets were dirty, the room smelled and there was hair/dirt in the bathroom. They accommodated and moved me to another room where I heard what sounded like a mouse or rustling near the vent. I checked out a day early. I was uncomfortable staying. Heads up: The jacuzzi is not in use! Looks like it may be under construction. It was not worth the money honestly.

I am writing to express my deepest disappointment regarding a recent experience I had at TownePlace Suites by Marriott Detroit Canton. I had made a reservation for a room at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Detroit Canton for July 26 - July 27 due to losing power in my home as a result of a thunderstorm. I was eagerly looking forward to my stay as advertised upon booking with my 3 young children. Unfortunately, upon arriving at the hotel, I was informed that there was a power outage on the property defeating the purpose of my initial booking resulting in the inability to check into my room. This was extremely frustrating, as I had made the reservation in advance and had not been notified about any potential disruptions. What compounded the situation further was the treatment I received from a staff member named Joseph. Despite my valid concerns and frustrations, Joseph was dismissive and refused to provide me with his last name when asked as well as provided me with the incorrect contact information of the General Manager. He provided me with the business card from an entirely different hotel. This lack of professionalism, lack of integrity and transparency only served to heighten my dissatisfaction with the situation. Adding to the inconvenience, the location of the hotel required me to drive over 40 minutes in adverse driving conditions. Never again.

Most terrible hotel stay I have had in a while. Hotels near by have crime coming in and out. The hotel had no pool towels, only 2 towels to a room. You could not access the pool without the master key and key machine was down at first therefore you needed to be escorted every time you went in and out of your room. You also needed a key card for the lights in the room to work but no one was told during check in. The breakfast was also not heated up prior to 7am when breakfast was supposedly to start. They definitely are short staffed and have limited resources. The coffee bar was covered in ants and the guy at the front desk showed NO care in the world. This all was only in a two nights stay!!

The property was fine. However, it seemed to be run by a family with many of the desk staff being insufficiently trained to respond to common questions. I asked at the desk if they could help book transport to the airport and was told no. I asked again, later, due to difficulties with booking transport with a Canadian postal code and was told that cabs are obsolete. After providing a number, the manager did call, eventually. Then, I was overcharged on the bill. I travel often and haven't experienced this lack of willingness of staff to help, previously.

I have stated here a few times when I come to Canton for work and I love it here. I haven’t even bothered to try any of the other hotels in the are. It’s clean and quiet. Great location from almost everything.

I stay at this hotel each time I’m in Canton for work. It’s close to everything. Love the hotel. Not a fan of the $200 to $300 hold on my card (the guy said $300 on the phone but they charged me $200) And they could definitely use better towels but I’ll probably stay here again

The room itself was okay, could probably be updated some. We had an issue with the tv volume which wouldn’t go down, front desk tried to help but was unsuccessful. I did complain about kids making a ton of noise in the next room & front desk immediately resolved the issue. The breakfast area was very clean but the food itself wasn’t the best. Wasn’t the best stay but wasn’t the worst either.

No cleaning was done. I looked all over for a staff for clean towels and found no one. Never once saw house keeping. Breakfast was the same every day (watery, fake eggs, and breakfast sausage).

My assigned room had chunks of carpet missing. The doorframes were chipped and worn. The room didn’t appear to have been dusted in quite a while. The bathroom floor needed to be cleaned. There was an old molded coffee filter and grounds in the coffee pot. The refrigerator didn’t work and the front closet had a bunch of exposed wall anchors and missing shelves. Lastly, the wall nearest the window had suspicious dripping stains (disgusting). In all, not the greatest stay for the price. This hotel needs a major deep clean on the rooms and a repaint and carpet replacement as well.

Dirty mirrors, scum built up on shower shelfs, gross looking roll of paper towel at kitchenette, old rag towel for dishes there too, and no dish soap or soap for that area. Toilet paper holder was broke and wall mount was coming off. Spoons in the drawer did not look sanitized. Dirty, dusty looking floors and dusty shelves and counter tops. This looked more like someone's living room than a nice clean hotel room ready for the next paying customer. Maybe this room just needs an upgrade on the floors and a bit deeper clean. Staff was very kind and friendly.
