We booked Agriturismo Alto Venda at 7:30 PM while traveling in Italy from Costa Rica. Without constant cellular data, we went directly to the hotel, arriving around 8 PM, only to find it completely shut down. With the help of a local, we contacted the hotel and were told check-in was before 6 PM, something we were never informed about during booking. This left us stranded, forced to find and pay for another accommodation, doubling our expenses. The hotel should not accept reservations after 6 PM if no one is available to check guests in. Communication was severely lacking, and we believe we deserve a refund for this unfair situation. Customer support was unhelpful, and the hotel refused to issue a refund. Overall, this experience was deeply disappointing and stressful. Proper communication and service are fundamental, and this establishment failed on both fronts. We would strongly recommend against making a reservation there.
