Hybla Major B&B

This property exceeded by far my expectations! To start they send you the self check in instructions by WhatsApp (clear and to the point including a step by step video). Location is on a relatively wide street and we were able to find a street parking spot easily and 10 mins walk to the beach. The room itself is clean and stylish. The shower space was the biggest we've seen in Sicily with waterfall shower and a great water pressure. Bed was comfy. We also had access to a very nice terrace close to the breakfast area (that included chilling cats) The only downside was that we chose a room on the ground floor (easier with the luggage) and it is very close to the breakfast area and it can get noisy. But this can easily be fixed by choosing a room on the higher floors. Thank you!

My wife and I booked this B&B for our honeymoon, the price and the rooms are very good quality. We enjoyed staying here, the owner is very friendly and helped me out with a few things. He doesn’t live in the building but his mother does and she was great. She gave my wife and I some beach towels because we forgot ours at home in the U.S. I’m not 100% sure who the older woman is that cooks the breakfast every morning but it is to die for, she makes all sorts of foods for the guests in the mornings which are delicious. They arrange tables in coordination with the guests staying there. One thing that kinda bothered my wife was you cannot eat inside the rooms, we aren’t sure if that’s just a Sicilian B&B thing. Everyone that runs the B&B together, you guys are doing an awesome job making this place very pleasant place to stay, all are very kind and have great hospitality! Avola in general has a genuine Sicilian culture so i recommend anyone that wants to see what real Sicilians are like stay here its worth it, you’ll see the difference between the touristy bigger cities and appreciate the little peaceful town of Avola even more. The beach is very close and the food at every restaurant we ate in the area was very good. Just make sure you practice your Sicilian or download a good translator app because the language is much different then Italian! Syracusa, Taormina, and Mt Etna are a max hour and a half drive.

Perfect accommodation for those wishing to explore the eastern-southern part of Sicily. 20 minutes drive to Noto and further to Modica and Scicli. The place is located 2-minute walk from Avola city centre, a lot of shops nearby and free parking on the street (easy!). The room is perfectly clean, comfy beds, fridge and kettle. Super good communication with the owner, I arrived after 20:00 and easily got into the room with directions received beforehand. I would come back :) Thank you!

Great renovated hotel in a small sleepy town of Avola with an easy access to free beaches, free street parking. Nice helpful hostess and her staff. Luxury rooms, good continental breakfast, quiet area for a very small price! I strongly recommend it. In case you drive a car and want to visit sights in neighboring Syracuse, do not fall for expensive options in Syracuse, stay in this hotel and simply drive very short distance to Syracuse and use historical area available parking and walk to all major sights.
