Having to call for the shuttle only after getting baggage. We couldn’t schedule it the day before and had to wait until we got our luggage the day of. Sitting outside after a late night flight waiting for a shuttle…..I thought that odd. Perhaps the hotel was short staffed?

Very convenient location for an early flight from BIO. The shuttle service is great. There is also a city bus, A2153, stopping at the airport (arrival level) and near the hotel.

Definitely close to the airport with free transfer in about 10mins. Plane noise not noticeable. Breakfast reasonable but costs an extra €8. Great rooms with big beds and modern fixtures and fittings. Would definitely recommend especially if wanting somewhere close to the airport rather than close to Bilbao centre.

2nd time we stayed and used airport shuttle both ways but this time the pickup driver told us he was only the driver and would not help with the bags, including for a woman whose bag was quite heavy; plus he kept the doors and windows open in 6C weather waiting for other passengers

Everything about the new Bilbao hotel is 5 star I would stay no where else From arrival to departure I recommend it to anyone travelling. The staff are friendly and efficient making the check in and out as easy as possible for tired guests The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean and at a comfortable temperature. Breakfast is reasonably priced and served for people from4-45am - 10am. There is another hotel nearby but I would never stay anywhere else.

Different System with lights and air condition, you have to use the door key in a slot for the lights and air conditioner to work inside. Take the key out and everything was off so the room was very steamy, feel like the air condition didn’t work, blow air only

I only had a short overnight stay between flights. The person who checked me in was not friendly or helpful in the least. It was a burden to request an Americana and water that still cost 3,50 E. I know it can be tedious and quiet in the overnight, the person behind the desk at 03:30 was sleeping while staring at computer…. Overall the place was clean but customer service is awful.

Unfriendly staff acts like guests are inconveniences. I was an hour early for check in and another guest was 30 min early. The front desk refused to check us in early despite available rooms. I understand rules are rules, so that was actually fine, but no one smiled, say hello or acknowledged you. Driver of shuttle was the same way. No smile, no hello, no acknowledgement and just left my luggage in front of the hotel. The only time he smiled was when he was tipped. Nothing included in the room except a nice clean bed and clean, updated bathrooms. Continental breakfast looked lousy for free much less the cost of 8 euros they charge. There are no restaurants near by except a restaurant in the Holliday Inn Express next door. Bottom line, expect nothing except a clean bed and free shuttle to airport. I recommend paying a little more for the Holliday Inn Express down the street. They were so much nicer with staff and facility.

La señora del turno de la mañana me salvó literalmente e hizo todo porque yo pudiera ir a San Sebastián de la forma más conveniente y el chico del turno nocturno estuvo pendiente de que todo estuviera bien a mi regreso… el señor del transporte del shuttle ambos maravillosos. Gracias por tratarme tan bien … es tan raro encontrar lugares con servicio al cliente tan maravilloso. Y las instalaciones limpias, modernas, amplias. 100

The staff was terrible, they acused us for having a dog in the room..... saying they could see it on there itv but when we asked them to search our rooms they would not do so. - the staff even harrased my old mother in law and kept talking anbout a dog that was NEVER in any room - we where on our way to Denmark and dig NOT bring a dog on our holliday - it was such a joke and i will recomend hotels.com to remove the hotel from their list - dont use this hotel there are lots of airports hotels in the area and i am sure that they treat their guests better than on this crazy place

Excellent stay and excellent sleep. I spent 3 nights as a tourist because it was surprisingly affordable compared to accommodation in the city. I probably wasn't their typical customer :) Buses to the city and airport go only every 60 minutes unless you walk to the airport to get the frequent bus (every 15 minutes). It's a 15-20 minute walk but I don't recommend it because there is no designated walking route, instead you have to walk on the side of a highway. Some planning ahead for the hourly bus makes it easy enough to get to the city and back. Travel time with that bus is 40-45 minutes. 4 stars for condition only because my bathroom door wouldn't close properly and the latch actually broke during my stay. Not a problem for me being solo. Otherwise everything was perfect. There's a pretty basic breakfast (coffee, juice, breads and cereals) for 8 euros which I happily paid instead of getting to the city that early.

We were well accommodated at the Hotel New Bilbao Airport. All was wonderful. We did have to leave very early for our flight back to the US. There was no coffee machine in the room. The hotel breakfast was not available before we shuttled over to the airport. Definitely not a deal breaker, but if they could have had a simple coffee machine in the lobby to accommodate the early birds, that would have been great! Thanks for a very nice stay!

Didn’t have air conditioning turned on; our room got up to 85 degrees. Windows barely opened. One front desk person tried to get us to return our rental car a day early, after which we’d have to make an appointment for the shuttle. Super weird. Buffet was lame; we went on the next door property for breakfast.
