One elevator was broke and delays due to getting into room. One of the outside doors was shattered. My bathroom door was hard to shut as it drug on the tile. Tile in bathroom was chipped. The staff was amazing I got locked out of my room due to a check out error on my side. They got it handled for me quickly. You have to use key card to move floors. The washing machine had a piece broke off the detergent door. The breakfast in the am is very nice and included. I also tried the beach access and it was nice addition.

The hotel is clean, modern, and in a great location, with nice extras like beach chairs, pool cocktails, and a golf cart shuttle to the beach. However, the air conditioning was a major problem: it failed in both rooms we stayed in, making the nights very hot and uncomfortable. In the second room, the staff gave us two fans to get through the night, but it was still difficult to sleep. We also heard other guests complaining of the same issue, so it seems to be a recurring problem. The staff was kind and waived the charges at check-out, but the A/C situation really impacted our stay.

First the staffing was great room was clean and inviting however coffee pot leaked and the coffee creamer was 2 weeks out of date not a big deal I just like cream iny coffee here is the down fall restaurant and bar are apparently under renovation we did not know this ahead of making our reservation. We had to go outside of hotel to get a decent meal and the breakfast scramble egg in the morning were cold however staff and Manager Phil were pleasant. Just so disappointed no restaurant and no open bar

Across the street from the beach. Easy and pleasant 5 minute walk. Hotel partners with another well known hotel chain who provides 2 complimentary beach chairs per day per room. Additional chairs can be rented for $20 a day. Umbrellas 24$ a day. Rooms could use some attention. Handle came of sink. Drain in shower would drain incredibly slowly. Beds were comfortable. Staff all extremely nice and helpful. Pool roof top was excellent and relatively quiet. Lots of places to walk too. 2.5 kms from Aventura Mall. Appears that one of the major airlines use the hotel to host its crew and pilots. Overall good value.

Front desk was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, upgraded to balcony room. Very nice and spacious. Walkable to the beach, just across the street. Destination fee included 2 complimentary cocktails of the day at the bar by the pool, 2 beach towels and 2 chairs at the hilton on right side (we brought our own umbrella, extra cost if you wanted one, can't remember the price, maybe $25??), plus 2 bottles of water. Breakfast had good slection. The annoying thing was the entrance for the hotel was in the back, very confusing as there was no sign or anything to indicate this. Drove around twice before we figured it out. Also it's valet parking.

The hotel was good overall, but there were a few drawbacks. In the room, the bathroom door was in poor condition and wouldn’t close properly. Additionally, if you have a late check-out, the hotel doesn’t offer a proper space where you can comfortably change or take a shower. Lastly, the pool was not heated, so on cooler days, it wasn’t enjoyable to use.

Always happy to be here. Very convenient and well-maintained facility. Breakfast is very good too. The ocean view rooms are the best. The 9th floor pool area is very relaxing. Staff is very professional. The destination/resort fee is worth it. You can all the things you needed to go explore the beach and the area.

Although updated, there is mold in the showers, dust and dirt on air vents/ walls. Additionally the ac did not cool well during the day, it was hot as hell, but rough!

The hotel looks good but the room was dirty. The floor was not moped. The breakfast was pretty basic and fast-food like. I would stay here again if it is the only option available. The price was too expensive for the service provided.

The room was very dirty. Bedding was clean but everything else was dirty. There were contractors there working while we were there and jumped in front of us and the elevator we were waiting patiently for.

Room had sand all over the floor and we didn’t go to the beach during our stay so it was there from the previous visitors. But when cleaning staff is walking around with ear buds in their ears and having phone conversations it’s not surprising that rooms are not cleaned thoroughly. Front desk staff wasn’t very attentive upon our arrival however people working the front desk on other days were great. Fix your pricing. Stop with your the additional/hidden fees just bake it into a price per night so there are no surprises. And $37 mandatory valet as there’s no self parking option is just ridiculous.

The room was spacious and tidy but the A/C wasn’t working properly the entire stay. They said they would have someone come up to fix it but no one arrived. Hotel was incredibly busy and overbooked. Lobby was dirty. The photos of the pool are deceiving because the sun doesn’t hit the pool at all. Very over priced. Paid this much to stay at the Grand in Bal Harbour and it was much nicer. Wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Poor service at $400 per night! Poor service from a Marriott. Hvac was not working in my room. I called , spoke with the reception desk 3 times . They did not care to take care of it for the whole stay , did not offer me another room either . Did not careIt was too hot in the room and you could not ope the windows either. As I got in the elevator another guest told me that w They were in my room , ac did not work and they had to be moved to another room, So this was a problem they did not care to fix but gave the room to me. Very disappointing

I really like the area and the beach. Hotel staff was really nice and helpful. Walls were pretty thin and my neighbors played loud music. Also, the sliding door for the bathroom didn’t close all the way.

I get the feeling this property is going to be under remodeling for a while. Front desk was not proactive when our air conditioning went out on our floor. Despite a phone call to the front desk only by being at the desk was another room provided. We moved everything ourselves 3 floors lower. No credit on our balance was ever offered. I would not likely stay at this property again.

The room had a nice view of the beach from accross the street. The size was very tight though, not much room to move around. The TV was attached to the side wall by the bed so we had to be careful not to hit our head with the TV. It was nice and convenient to have breakfast included every day.

It was my third time at this property. I chose it bc proximity to a beach I like to go. But I cannot stand acoustics there. slamming doors at any hour super loud that made my bed trembling. Horrible. In general staff was nice. But maids work at all hours like a cheap motel.

Upon entry, we were "greeted" by Peter who had zero customer service and zero bedside manner. Unfortunately, I allowed him to set the tone for the start of our vacation. I was hit with hidden fees and ridiculous charges. I was forced to use valet parking which I was charged $37 daily. I had to pay a destination fee of $30 daily for two beach chairs, two beach towels, two bicycles, golf cart to and from the beach (which was inoperable), two bottles of water and two cocktails (which was refreshing.) We couldn't go any higher than the 5th floor because we had two 2 queen sized beds (so we were explained.) We had a balcony with a lovely view of McDonalds and other tall buildings. The pool was heated, which felt great. The room was smaller than advertised. Fully stocked kitchenette with a dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, pots, etc. Plenty of towels. The gym had up to date equipment. Free full stocked breakfast. 45min-1hr away from the city. Coin operated washer and dryer on the premises.

It's a very basic hotel, the location is not the best but there is lots of dining options around and the beach is less than 10min away. We had an unpleasant conversation with Peter at the reception, during our check-in, which was taking forever, he mentioned that he was not sure they had a room ready for us, it was 8:30 at night! Eventually he gave us our keys to a room without balcony. We've specifically booked with a balcony. We asked to change room the next morning and Laura was very helpful. At checkout, we unfortunately had to deal with Peter again... This person is rude and does not seem to know what he's doing. Overall though the hotel is clean, the pool is nice with a partial ocean view, and the food at the restaurant is correct.

Rude front desk. Didn’t fix our air conditioning despite three requests. Breakfast was little variety and low quality and insufficient seating with too much construction. Destination fee not advertised but charged. I could go on. Never again.

Here is my honest opinion about this hotel: Upon arriving, already having difficulty speaking with the valet parking guy. Forgot his name. Young hispanic, did not smile when he talked, and barely spoke english. He did not seem friendly at all. Upon entering, the staff in the front did NOT give off friendly vibes. But they were okay. Not the most welcoming considering it’s Mariott hotel. The room was very small but the view was Phenomenal! The pool was amazing! Oh, and the bartender on the 9th floor was super nice! Wish i got his name. The front desk employees need to have a better friendly vibes. The breakfast was nice. The views everywhere were nice. AGAIN, the staff killed the vibe. Could do better.

The service from the employees was excellent. They definitely made the stay at their hotel a lot more pleasant. The breakfast is great and delicious. The beach is literally under 5 minutes of a walk. I’ll definitely stay again. Rachel at the bar was the sweetest and gave the best service anyone can imagine. Thank you for a great time.

I get the feeling this property is going to be under remodeling for a while. Front desk was not proactive when our air conditioning went out on our floor. Despite a phone call to the front desk only by being at the desk was another room provided. We moved everything ourselves 3 floors lower. No credit on our balance was ever offered. I would not likely stay at this property again.

Had another great experience at this hotel from start to finish. We enjoyed the pool area, each day, and Jojo is a great asset in the bar, serving drinks and food, as well as keeping things tidy. Well done Jojo. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and Hela kindly let us have a late check out, as our flight was in the evening. Close to many restaurants, Publix and pharmacies, easy to walk to for whatever you may need.

Across the street from the beach. Easy and pleasant 5 minute walk. Hotel partners with another well known hotel chain who provides 2 complimentary beach chairs per day per room. Additional chairs can be rented for $20 a day. Umbrellas 24$ a day. Rooms could use some attention. Handle came of sink. Drain in shower would drain incredibly slowly. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast area is too small and was almost always crowded. Also, for some reason they run the AC in the breakfast area as if it were a meat locker. We got a lot of noise in our room from neighbors with a dog.

The hotel is clean, modern, and in a great location, with nice extras like beach chairs, pool cocktails, and a golf cart shuttle to the beach. However, the air conditioning was a major problem: it failed in both rooms we stayed in, making the nights very hot and uncomfortable. Amazing service, good breakfast-athough same breakfast menu on all the three days of my stay in the hotel, reception staff very active and helpful- special mention to Anubha and Maggie who have been very kind and receptive. The hotel is in a very quiet and peaceful location. Ocean is just few steps away, with clean water and serenic beauty. There are few shopping complexes close by on the collins Av which won't let you starve and provide with all basic necessities. Hotel has a nice pool at the 9th floor with a decent view and restaurants that offers nice food. All in all, 5 star rating goes without second thought.

First the staffing was great room was clean and inviting however coffee pot leaked and the coffee creamer was 2 weeks out of date not a big deal I just like cream iny coffee here is the down fall restaurant and bar are apparently under renovation we did not know this ahead of making our reservation. We had to go outside of hotel to get a decent meal and the breakfast scramble egg in the morning were cold however staff and Manager Phil were pleasant. Just so disappointed no restaurant and no open bar

The very cool 9th floor pool bar/ restaurant with ocean view was informal and so relaxing. Bartender Alex, was attentive, very fast and so friendly. The hotel and room was nice and clean with amazing views of the ocean. The complementary buffet breakfast, as well as other amenities were plentiful. We will definitely be back!

The room on the 8th floor had laminate flooring, walk-in shower, central air, smelled fresh and was very clean. We were taken care of by Nick at the front desk who was extremely helpful to ensure we had a great stay. This gentleman is very friendly, customer focused, takes the time to explain the hotel and amenities and is, in our opinion, a great asset to this hotel. We will gladly return to this hotel. This hotel is close to the beach across the street. The pool on the 9th floor is rather large with crystal clear water and very enjoyable. The pool area has an ocean view. We had a great time and highly recommend this hotel. There is a mandatory destination charge of around $30 per night that includes 2 drinks for each night you stay (not each day) and includes beach chairs and some other minor stuff. This is ok for one, maybe two nights but it really is a hidden profit maker for Marriott because you cannot opt-out. Valet Parking is almost mandatory unless you want to walk really far. Parking fees vary depending on your vehicle but can set you back over $45 per night when you travel in an SUV.
