Cute little cabins near a small man made lake. Quiet and peaceful at night. The staff and rooms were pretty nice. Included a small kitchen and fridge and nice AC. Only issues would be that the place is a bit far from town. If you don’t have a car it’ll be a hike. Also lots of bugs and the rooms aren’t sealed completely so they can get into the rooms even if you keep the doors and windows closed. Still a nice stay id recommend it.

I loved the properly. The outside and buildings a well maintained and are newer. It is visually appealing, and quaint. Cabins are roomy but small enough to let you know you aren’t in your own home. AC+. Host was helpful with helping me setup activities. My only small recommendation is a little dusting of the appliances that are not often used and more towels/washcloths.

Excellent cabin to enjoy La Fortuna. Just a short drive to La Fortuna Center and close to the Rope Swing on Rio Fortuna. The cabin was clean and the shower was hot. The bedroom has an AC, which was nice for a good night sleep. It rained one of the nights and the tin room made me feel like I was swept away to another world of comfort. I would stay again.

Nice , cute property. Rainforest feeling . Rain drops on the roof is very loud ., can bother your sleeping , but very natural rainforest feeling . Easy location to drive to town down . Hot water not working some days , that is the bad for showering . LOL .

Super unique and enjoyable place to stay. Even has kitchen if you’re inclined to make your own meals (or just coffee), but town is so close with tons of great dining options. Loved the lagoon which is literally at your door step. It rained constantly for us, but didn’t care. The sound of huge raindrops on the tin roof was actually pretty soothing. Bonus - the Tarzan swing into the river is just up the road.

Cabañas del Lago was spectacular. We had a room right on the water. The nature was all around us and we couldn’t have been happier. We felt so at home and the amenities were spot on. Definitely the place to stay in Arenal.

This was a great place if you’re looking for a safe, quiet, and cozy little place to sleep at. Cabins by the water in the woods was very relaxing. AC worked great and there was hot water. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. There was a Roku in the room with access to Netflix and other apps. If you’re looking for more of a resort feel with pool and bar and stuff this is not the place. I would definitely stay here again.

The roof is made by plastic material. When it rains, it’s very noisy. Even a small rain, the sound can be magnified. Unfortunately, we had three days of rain. We couldn’t sleep well because of the noise. When it rains, the carbin has moldy smell. I guess when the weather is good, it will be much better.

The building itself does smell humid… because it is not totally sealed from the outside. We were also visiting during the wet season (end of July). Turn the AC on while indoors and no problem. Close to the rivers with hot springs, the hot spring resorts, and restaurant. You need a car tho.

We enjoyed the stay overall but it was raining all the time and the roof above than bedroom and kitchen was leaking. We had to move the beds. Also, the owner tried to charge us $30 extra per night for kids, even though the property was clearly described as “family friendly” and “kids stay free” on the booking website. Will not come back.

We had so much fun here, and it was a wonderful place to come and relax after a day of activities. Very unique cabin, with porch right on the pond. Friendly ducks, dogs, and it was great hearing all of the different bird calls. Very close to restaurants and things, but felt remite and private. Comfortable bed. Only complaint was the small bathroom without much room to put things.

Absolutely beautiful property! We sat on the front deck and watched turtles swim by every morning. Was a bit worried the water would smell but it didn’t at all. It was like your own little private sanctuary. Would stay here again!!

Der er uacceptabelt meget larm fra vejen som går 40 m. fra hytten. Der er konstant biler der larmer. Det er en skam fordi hvis det her sted lå længere inde af en vej, så ville det være perfekt. Desværre blev vi nødt til at rejse efter 1 overnatning pga larm og manglende søvn. Rigtig god service fra overnatningsstedet som endte med at give os pengene tilbage for 2. nat uden problemer.

Loved it! Good price and space for 5 people. Had the 2 bedroom. Tin roof can be noisy with rain but we liked hearing it. Simple cabin at good price. Really nice staff that were accommodating. Loved the dog Lily at property.

Very serene atmosphere with lake, ducks and greenery. Very good host who lives on property. He even provided firm mattress as I didn’t like that couch mattress. Ample parking The only issue was tin roof which made lot of noise during rain but after one day you stopped noticing it haha

I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting La Fortuna. Marcos was great and provided great information to enjoy our stay. The cabin was beautiful and very relaxing, it definitely made you feel like you’re in the jungle. The city center was a few minutes down the road, just be careful for how dark it gets when driving around. I would stay here again and everyone say hi to Sammy :)

Had the cabin closes to the main road, not shown in the picture, it same Layout, small trickle of water on the side but surround by trees. Loved listening to sound of the birds. The property owner was Amazing very helpful and accommodating.

I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting La Fortuna. Marcos was great and provided great information to enjoy our stay. The cabin was beautiful and very relaxing, it definitely made you feel like you’re in the jungle. Very cute cottage and good location, easy to find in Waze app. Very close to La Fortuna waterfall. Property was cozy and lovely sitting on deck and hearing local birds.

Nos gustó mucho este lugar, excelente para relajarse, ubicaciones buena, estaba a 10min en vehículo del pueblo La Fortuna y 35min caminando, cuando llegamos estaba lloviendo y era tarde pero nos pasaron un numero para poder pedir comida, muy atentos en todo momento, en general, muy huena nuestra experiencia.
