Rooms were very good. Bar said open 4 until late, but found to be closed at 9-9-30pm.We do not consider 9,.30pm as late. No chance of a drink after going out to dinner. Staff were rude when we asked about the bar. The hotel had a restaurant but we could not get an evening meal as restaurant was closed. Only 5 sun beds around pool. We could not get one when we returned from a day out as fully booked.

From the moment we arrived at QT Queenstown, we felt genuinely welcomed. We happened to check in on a Friday when the hotel was offering their complimentary afternoon activity, a relaxing 15-minute shoulder massage, which was the perfect way to unwind after our flight. When we walked into our room, we were greeted with a bottle of wine waiting for us, and later received an additional bottle of champagne to help celebrate a birthday we were marking during our stay, such a thoughtful touch! The room itself was exactly as pictured stylish, spacious, and beautifully designed. The real highlight came when we stepped out onto the balcony: the panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown were absolutely breathtaking. A special tip to anyone staying: if you can, wake up early to catch the sunrise from the balcony, it’s truly worth it! The bathroom was huge, featuring both a spacious shower and a luxurious soaking tub, along with high-quality Kevin Murphy products, which added an extra touch of indulgence. Throughout our stay, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to offer great local recommendations. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus for guests, which was super convenient for getting around Queenstown and to/from the airport, just make sure to book in advance to secure your spot. Spent two nights here and everything was excellent, the location is on the lakeside which is very close to the city center. The room was a true 5-star hotel look with the in room amenities being amazing. The only things that were that the pool was not heated which is very much needed in such a cold city, also the sauna closing at 9:30 which should actually be after the pool closes since people would usually like to take a cold swim to then go into the sauna. But other than those two the hotel stay was truly excellent.

Clean and comfortable hotel with very nice staff. It’s a bit of a downhill walk to get to downtown Queenstown so be prepared for an uphill walk coming back. Also if you check in later in the day, their parking lot might be full so you might have to find other parking arrangements. But overall a nice hotel

Staff were friendly but room was disappointing. Looked out onto a wall! We didn’t opt for a Mountain View but didn’t expect a wall! Also in order to park cost of $35 a night.Be warned, difficult to find somewhere to park on the road and we’re not in busy season. Music audible early in the morning too which was disturbing after a 5 hour drive previous day

Hotel dining is a real let down. Restaurant with breakfast is only open for a very limited window. There is no restaurant open for lunch. Dinner restaurant is not really a restaurant it is a table in a noisy bar. Room service options are also super limited. On a map, property looks close to city center but in reality that is not the case when walking in the cold/rain - which is most of the time in this location. Hotel holds itself out to be luxury but is attached and part of a budget hotel and that is not ideal. Cleaning is also average. For example, there was hair from prior guests around our bath. Staff were not rude, but also were not helpful. For example, no assistance was offered with taking bags to the room as is custom in luxury hotels.

We loved the size of the room and the bath. Unfortunately our room wasn’t serviced on one of the days and we had to ask for tissues and toilet paper as they weren’t replaced when the room was serviced. Otherwise, staff were very helpful and loved the bar and breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel just two years ago and thought it was so luxurious. I feel this time a little bit of that luxury was missing. Gone was the faux fur rug on the chair that you see in the images, there was no complimentary water (I don’t think I’ve stayed in any 5 star hotels that don’t provide complimentary bottles of water), and thirdly the room just felt tired. The hand basins were cracked and browning around the sink hole. The robes were pretty worn. The bed and pillow selection however were very comfortable and the shower had great pressure. The soap amenities were lovely also. Great staff and loved the little tastings they had in the foyer each day! Overall a lovely stay. I have heard that the old rushes beneath this hotel is being changed to make a bigger and better QT. This and proximity to town means we may give this hotel another go on our next visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hotel room was spacious, beautifully decorated and very clean. We highly recommended and will go out of our way to find another location where we can stay at a QT. Staff were also very helpful.

Good location and a 5 min walk to Queenstown town centre. Staff were friendly and great. Property is looking tired and in need of a good clean/maintenance. Chips out of tables, stain on sofa arm and shower grout black in places. Floors needing a clean. I understand staffing has been a problem in Queenstown.

Won’t ever stay at a QT hotel again. The only positive is the view and the friendliness of the staff. The hotel is not worth $620 NZ a night. I booked for 3 nights and I left after the first night. Visible mould in the bathroom. Mattress was sunken and uncomfortable. Got barely any sleep. Noises can be heard from other rooms. Wotif only provided one nights refund as well. Won’t be booking through Wotif again. Much better accomodation in Queenstown.

The room itself was exactly as pictured stylish, spacious, and beautifully designed. The real highlight came when we stepped out onto the balcony: the panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown were absolutely breathtaking. A special tip to anyone staying: if you can, wake up early to catch the sunrise from the balcony, it’s truly worth it! The bathroom was huge, featuring both a spacious shower and a luxurious soaking tub, along with high-quality Kevin Murphy products, which added an extra touch of indulgence. Throughout our stay, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to offer great local recommendations. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus for guests, which was super convenient for getting around Queenstown and to/from the airport, just make sure to book in advance to secure your spot. No upgrades. No in house spa. Amenity requests were sometimes ignored. Got a skin reaction from the bedsheets - not good. I travel a lot and that has never happened before. Chrome cast didn’t work on the TV.

Be aware that non lake view does not mean mountain view, it means road view, you are looking directly at a concrete retaining wall. It’s very loud on that side. Cars and people talking as they walk past from 5am onwards.

Another great stay at QT Queenstown from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by the friendly reception staff and given the usual hotel run through. The staff organised a drink for us as we arrived just as happy hour was ending. Our room had lake views with a small balcony over the carpark. The room was good size for a couple with 2 suitcases each. There was a small lounge and coffee table in the room. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, and the water pressure was great. Both the room, bathroom and hotel spaces were clean and tidy. The location of the hotel itself is convenient and a short walk to the main Queenstown hub. Although you can no longer take the short cut through the old Rydges hotel (at this time) so the walk back is up an incline. Overall, great hotel with great staff in a great location.

Hotel dining is a real let down. Restaurant with breakfast is only open for a very limited window. There is no restaurant open for lunch. Dinner restaurant is not really a restaurant it is a table in a noisy bar. Room service options are also super limited. On a map, property looks close to city center but in reality that is not the case when walking in the cold/rain - which is most of the time in this location. Hotel holds itself out to be luxury but is attached and part of a budget hotel and that is not ideal. Cleaning is also average. For example, there was hair from prior guests around our bath. Staff were not rude, but also were not helpful. For example, no assistance was offered with taking bags to the room as is custom in luxury hotels.

Rooms were very good. Bar said open 4 until late, but found to be closed at 9-9-30pm.We do not consider 9,.30pm as late. No chance of a drink after going out to dinner. We could not get one when we returned from a day out as fully booked.

The property was clean, and the food was some of the best we had during our trip —truly a delight. Our room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Had another lovely stay at the QT Queenstown. We booked a Lakeview room and were returning for our second year in a row + regular QT stays. We were initially put in a room that had an obstructed view, when we went back and asked to move they were prompt and arranged a new room for us. We had some very personalised service from other hotels we returned to on our trip but the QT didn’t really provide or have insight into previous guest requests. Something that could have made our stay extra special. Otherwise a great all round stay, location is very convenient and room is comfortable and spacious.

The hotel clerks were amazing. I received amazing assistance in particular from Edita who scheduled a car/driver service for me due to a medical emergency and gave me very personalized and kind attention. I could not have asked for better.

Great experience - highly recommend! The property was lovely - the rooms were clean and spacious with plenty of amenities. It was ~10 to 15min walk away from all the shops and restaurants so was quiet for sleeping and very convenient.

Very clean hotel with a lovely view. Amazing nice staff! Must walk uphill to return from town. Not ideal for older people or those that aren’t up to a small steep walk. Not ideal if you are pushing luggage uphill. Restaurant is terrible and overpriced.

Clean and comfortable hotel with very nice staff. It’s a bit of a downhill walk to get to downtown Queenstown so be prepared for an uphill walk coming back. Also if you check in later in the day, their parking lot might be full so you might have to find other parking arrangements. But overall a nice hotel

QT did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, staff were friendly and helpful advising of room inclusions. Views from the Lakeview rooms were spectacular. The room was quiet and spacious given its a hotel room but had a double opening door soo you could let fresh breeze in or stand on the small balcony and admire the view. Bathroom was amazing with a soaking tub big enough for 2. The turn down service each night was the best with a new little surprise each night of our stay. We also got room service for brekkie and dinner. Dinner was the better of the 2, but the buffet brekkie downstairs was delightful with lots of options and great views. Parking was a bit tight but if your careful you’ll manage. There is a short walk down to the main hub of the city but worth it for the nice amenities you get in your room and hotel. There was alot of roadwork in the streets behind the hotel making it tricky to navigate but otherwise easy to find.

The room was quiet and spacious given its a hotel room but had a double opening door soo you could let fresh breeze in or stand on the small balcony and admire the view. Bathroom was amazing with a soaking tub big enough for 2. The turn down service each night was the best with a new little surprise each night of our stay. We also got room service for brekkie and dinner. Dinner was the better of the 2, but the buffet brekkie downstairs was delightful with lots of options and great views. Parking was a bit tight but if your careful you’ll manage. There is a short walk down to the main hub of the city but worth it for the nice amenities you get in your room and hotel. There was alot of roadwork in the streets behind the hotel making it tricky to navigate but otherwise easy to find.

It would have been nice if the hotel was transparent about construction activity on the premises. Stayed in the Remarkables Lakeview King room, which had a very nice view of the Remarkables, but also overlooked the parking lot and construction site. Was moved to a second room on a higher level with a better view but still overlooked construction on the property. We would have happily paid less for a room with a lesser view and no view of the construction. The hotel has a newer and older section and the older section is quite tired. Definitely would have selected a room in the newer part of the hotel if it was clear when booking.

Location was beautiful. We did have a balcony unfortunately they are going through construction so when we sat outside was a bit noisy and not the nicest view but otherwise was nice to look at the water and mountains. Tea available when coming in from the day. Morning they had juices and croissants available as you were heading out. Nice lobby with great views. Buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. Again beautiful views from the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Did find room very dry. But otherwise very comfortable. No gym at the hotel.

Excelente hotel , personal sumamente agradable y servicial . Solo 2 problemas : 1- El check out es a las 10 am , esto ya se está volviendo insoportable en la mayoría de los hospedajes, cada vez te hacen el check out más temprano y el check in más tarde 2-El hotel está en construcción y remodelación, por lo que desde las 7.30 am y hasta las 5.00 pm no dejan de golpear , taladrar y hacer un ruido insoportable, así que si tu intención es descansar y levantarte tarde , no lo lograrás.
