Tried changing £10 for parking 😤

Enjoyed my stay: Parking not guaranteed, bed not too comfortable but room was clean & had everything I needed. Less than £10 uber to get into city centre or 25ish min walk. Staff helpful & friendly.

The reception area is tiny - any more than three or four people and you'd have to queue outside. The TV had no remote in the room. Neither of the bedside lights were working. The wall beside the bed was dirty with coffee splashed over it (see photo). The attached Cafe was closed during Covid and had not re-opened, so no prospect of breakfast. The £10 parking charge was not anywhere on the booking literature and, as the street was full, there was little option other than to pay. The mattress on the bed is cheap and nasty in the extreme. It did not aid a good night's sleep and I spent the following day with backache. The bathroom was ok. If it had not been ok, I would have looked for somewhere else to stay.

Convience to city centre. Reasonable price. Only 6 carpark spaces for large hotel.

No parking

Room was spacious, clean and practical. Staff were polite and friendly. There is no on site parking, you have to park on the roads outside. Building is situated opposite student accommodation.

Nice room, nothing to really complain about apart from it being a bit difficult to park.

excellent well presented hotel, comfortable and clean, only concern was parking,

it was a nice building and the staff were friendly and helpful,the area is a bit noisy as its highly populated with students and it was a weekend so think ibiza in the summer,all night.... but ear plugs work.parking is very scarce,but if you're willing to get up and out before 8am you can park on the single yellow lines.

Lights didn't work in our first room. Went down to get another room, and half the switches didn't work. There are food marks all over the walls - it's quite grotty

Not the cleanest of rooms, floor tiles in bathroom cracked, no towel holder or toilet roll holder, shower walls not clean. Thick dust on shelf above “wardrobe”, no drawers. Half empty shower gel/shampoo. No mattress cover and sheet only just covers the matress. The bed was not the best comfort, no additional blankets/pillows. Reception staff were nice enough though. Only a 3 star hotel for sure!! Sorry but doubt very much I will be back!

Puled back duvet to find hairs in bed, bits of something unknown and a stain on the sheet. Very of putting. Bed had deep hollow and mattress uncomfy. Chair and walls both very grubby. Overall in a poor state, though shower and kitchen were clean. Immediate street didn't feel safe, though nearby high street was fine.

Had damp walls and not clean

The room we were allocated was a mess, the mattress was stained and smelled, the bathroom was covered in red algae and seemed to have not been cleaned, we found a lot of silverfish around the room. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything, which made it difficult to sleep. Housekeeping seemed incompetent, and didn't want to replenish towels or toilet paper, despite me asking. The windows did not close properly and the room was freezing. The reception staff seemed quite nice, which was the only positive of the stay. I would never recommend for anyone to stay here.

I would like a full refund for this trip. The room was dusty, bed uncomfortable and I was bitten here. The shower was off the hinge nail sticking out and when I explained to staff I have severe asthma and we needed a parking space in car park or close by they were unhelpful. I explained to manager on duty about the shower and he insinuated we had broken it despite me being 5”2 and not being able to even reach the part where it was broken! We both felt we couldn’t have a shower without it collapsing on us! The door lock was broken didn’t lock and there was smashed/ broken window from the glass outside so the room was cold the whole time heating didn’t work so the room was very draughty and cold. The fan had so much dust in it and the room was generally unclean and dusty which made me wheezy with my asthma. And we were cold all night.

What really brought the rating down was the cleanliness. Not only did I see spiders around the room but i found a bug on the bed. Disappointed.

Why is it that there is no airflow in UK buildings! It was so hot and no A/C or even a fan! And the stairs were creaky & scary. But the view was incredible and the suite was great. I felt like I was looking out the window from Ratatouille without the Eiffel Tower. And I felt safe as a single young woman.

BUT:- The room had little or no ventilation and had no air conditioning and was boiling hot, the TV and WIFI weren't up to much and the breakfast was deeply underwhelming. So-so overall.

We stayed in a deluxe double room, but deluxe is certainly a stretch. There were marks and chips all over the walls, water damage on the ceiling, worn away plaster around light fixtures. In the bathroom there were red plastic screw supports drilled into the wall, seemingly as a cheap fix. There was writing on the ceiling above the bed that could have easily been painted over. The shower was very small and some would definitely struggle to fit. The mini fridge never worked, even overnight. The stairs were very loud which was an issue when the bed and bathroom are not on the same floor. The fan provided had a part of the mesh caved in and would not stand up without being leaned on the banister. The price tag felt over-priced when this is the state of the room given. We were given the key to 608 initially but when we cane back and tried to enter for the first time the key did not work. A helpful member of staff took me down to reception to sort it out and the staff member at reception make out like I had not listened to his college when he gave me to key as they had assigned me a different room. It makes no sense to give me a key card with a room number on it that is not my room number. There was no noise issues at any point, though it being after the end of the University year means it was quieter in general. Everywhere was hygienic. The balcony was spacious, but had a light that we could not turn off. This attracted bugs so we could not sleep with the windows open.

It was nice stay very clean and comfortable but u can here lots of noise from nextdoor and outside that’s mean room are not sound proof also in the toilet clothes rack was already broke it should be fixed because everytime u put your clothes it fall of apart from that it was nice experience i’ll give 7 out of 10.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. When booked the price was brilliant. The hotel is very smart, the room is pretty big with kettle, microwave, and all amenities. Not too bad from the centre. Only thing slightly confusing was certain room numbers weren't on the floor you would think.

We were lucky to find street parking, though the area looked a bit dingy and had an unpleasant smell. Thankfully, my car was safe overnight! The hotel entrance wasn’t immediately obvious, so I had to call reception, and a staff member kindly came out to guide us—good service there. **Room & Amenities** We stayed on the top floor, which was a blessing because the views were better than the lower floors (which would’ve just faced another building!). The balcony was clean, though one of the chairs was very worn out. The room was open-plan, with bedrooms on a mezzanine level (no doors, just a creaky staircase!). Since hot air rises, the upper sleeping area was extremely warm, even with the provided air coolers and a fan. We had to leave the balcony door open all night for some relief. The kitchen area was cute and functional (fridge, microwave, kettle, sink, and basic cutlery), but the lack of a proper table was inconvenient—just four seats with nowhere to place food or drinks. The bathroom was basic, with no shelving for toiletries, though they did provide soap and shower gel. The shower had a nice body spray, which was a plus! There was also a TV, iron, and ironing board, as well as a washing machine (which we didn’t use). Personally, I’d prefer a table in that space instead of the washing machine for more practicality. For a short stay, it was fine but I wouldn’t recommend it in summer due to the heat. It’s decent for 1-2 nights, as budget friendly.

Very thin walls

The TV in the room did not work. I stayed 2 nights and when I questioned if the room had been cleaned on the morning of the 2nd day I was informed it had been. I explained that no coffee had been left, the person I spoke too said he would bring some to the room but never did. The room fob did not work on the 2nd night and I was very lucky that there was still a member of staff on duty

Room was well equipped, microwave etc. Aircon in theory existed however the room was akin to a sauna. The hotel did provide a standing pillar fan however it simply pushed hot air at us overnight. The water pressure was poor. In winter I am sure this would be a pleasant experience, especially if you don't mind low water pressure.

I had no heating for 24 hours in the room, and therefore got absolutely no sleep aldue to the time of the year, being around freezing. There were no staff at reception when i came down in the morning, and their emergency contact number went straight to voicemail. Useless.

They had some challenges with the card-system, but how they dealt with the situation: extremely friendly - extremely helpful, they did everything they could to make sure we suffer from the situation. Great and safe location (not too far from the city center), and a fantastic breakfast (super friendly Scottish guy who served us breakfast as well). Worth the price :-)

Rude staff

Friendly staff, booked last minute and were on hand to help with a fast check-in

Staff are terribly rude, aggressive, manipulative and neglectful. Room had no working heating. No office staff before 10am and after 9pm

My stay turned out fine after a real big mix up on my part but was a little disappointed as I suffer from lupus and sometimes I get things mixed up or forget things and a lot of other heath issues that goes with it. I stupidly booked for next year instead of this year but because I booked on no refunds I can’t get a refund for the night I have booked for next year and had to pay for the night I actually needed. Even though I had already booked and paid for 5 nights also. I just got confused when I realised that I hadn’t booked for the night before on my original booking I know it was my own fault but I do blame that on my illness hence why it’s normally my partner who does all my bookings or dealings with any of my affairs as I just get so confused and mixed up. The staff at front desk was really nice along with the breakfast staff. Breakfast was good and freshly cooked. My room was fine apart from no aircon or couldn’t get it to work. There was a fan which did nothing but to be fair the weather outside was extremely hot. I liked the part there was a sink and microwave in the room as I was there for 6 days and instead of always going out I could get food from Tesco which is just round the corner. The only downside was the fridge is a cooler and not a fridge so didn’t keep things that cold. I was at Nottingham university for a short course and this hotel is just 10 minutes round the corner and was ideal and the price was also good.

Great welcome, checked in earlier and they did a discount for early check-in which was great. The room was nice and warm. Had everything we needed, highly recommended.

The greeting and service from Mohammed on the front desk and Ali in the breakfast area were professional, helpful and really went the extra mile. Nothing was too much trouble.

My dress 👗 needed ironing, I asked to borrow one no problem delivered to my room very helpful staff x

For me the hotel was about a 30 minute walk from the railway station. Check in was easy and I provided picture ID as requested. I spent most of the day out of the hotel but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The little kitchen area was a good addition. I read the reviews before booking and I too felt safe around the local area both late at night and early morning. For the price it was good value.

A little noisy at night, apart from that perfect walking distance to get to the city centre

This hotel is a hidden gem in Nottingham . It's very clean and close to the city centre. Staff are kind and friendly. The room are cozy and quiet. We will definitely repeat

The bed sheets were clean but had spots of old blood on when i was ready for bed. The member of staff who checked me in was fine. The room was basic but what do you expect for the price. The location was pretty good for my requirements. But it is a dodgy neighbourhood.

Nice comfortable rooms. Good nights sleep in comfy beds. All you can ask for. The made to order English breakfast is also decent. Wil stay here again.

No Air conditioning. Room was hot. No dining available whatsoever. No daily room cleaning.

Overall I had a really good stay! I stayed for 3 nights & paid just over £100, the studio room was really nice! Overall the room was clean however, the finishings of the room lack! The walls & skirting boards could do with a repaint & the cleaners could do a better job at making sure the floor is hoovered properly, like every inch, I did have to go out & buy hand soap, bin bags & dish soap but ultimately the room was still very nice! Only other thing is breakfast isn’t offered as there cafe/kitchen was closed & doesn’t look like it’s in use at all really, the staff/receptionists you wouldn’t think work there if they weren’t behind the desk because of how they’re dressed, I had an issue with a vent lid randomly falling down but was quickly moved to another room which I’m thankful for, it’s very central to Nottingham city centre, 5mins in an Uber & 15mins walking, the rooms are well heated to the point where I had to sleep with the windows open the whole stay, all in all I had a pleasant stay! You get your money’s worth if a little more

Perfect for a cheap stay by city centre. Rooms were nice and fairly modern, overall building could do with a bit of TLC but it was great for what we needed it for. Came with breakfast included too and the chef was so nice :).

Ordered breakfast & paid for. Cafe not open & the premises was not maned. Call all the numbers. No answer. No breakfast!
