We loved this place! It was clean, very nice, and had a very private feel! The community kitchen/lounge area was really nice and clean. Self check in and out was extremely easy!!! We will stay here again and highly recommend it to any and everybody. A++++++

Parking was an issue. The alley was tore up and city was doing repairs, so we had to contact the milwalkee parking authotities to get an overnight parking permit for street parking. No staff on sight. Cipher lock to enter building and room. Code was needed. Room was fabulous. Great renovation of a very old beutiful building. Great spacious shower. Great restaurant on site. Enjoyed our stay

One of the BEST hotels we have stayed at! Literally kept comparing it to our favorite on the amalfi coast! The room was clean and so spacious, insane light and the common space was amazing for coffee and breakfast. Would be great for a family trip with the rooms and the common space. An added bonus was having an amazing restaurant below! Overall so easy to navigate, safe parking, so walkable and just a great stay. We will be back!

We cancel the reservation because when we arrived we found out no elevator which Expedia did not state and there was three flights of stairs to get to the room. Totally unacceptable.

Nice facilities. Comfortable bed and pillows. But all the rooms are above a restaurant through the creakiest stairs I've ever walked on, and all the room hinges need some oil. There was no ice available that we could find, nor any elevator for lugging our suitcase up to the room. That being said, it was fine for one night

A wonderful place to stay a super beautiful large room but most of all I loved the common space of the kitchen and living room area. The refrigerator comes equipped with your own section to put your own food and you can have a nightcap of wine at night or make yourself a pizza like we did. Comes with coffee and hot herbal teas that were delicious as well. Totally recommend this place

I usually don’t post negative reviews but I can’t not warn people about this place. We stayed for one night at Kinn Guesthouse Bayview. The refrigerator was broken so we lost all of the food that we had for our trip and our leftovers from the Public Market. We had a toddler with us so food is crucial! We wanted to shower the night we arrived but could not due to BLACK MOLD inside and outside of the shower. That’s disgusting and hazardous! You could see where they painted over the mold but it grew right back! We would have really liked to shower before getting on the road the next day. As we were packing things up the morning we were leaving, our toddler opened the bathroom door (which we kept closed with the fan on the whole time-black mold) and then closed it, the door came crashing down and landed on the side of the bed. That was terrifying! He easily could have been very hurt. My husband put it back up there but realized the door was missing a piece that was needed and that’s why it fell off so easily. We contacted Ewvin the property manager to discuss the three issues and he was quick to get off the phone and said he would go look at the mold and get back to us after speaking to the owner. He never called back. We reached out multiple times with calls, voicemails, texts, and emails. He completely ghosted us. How shady.

Upon arrival the shared kitchen space was very dirty. Crumbs all over countertops, dishes in sink, dirty dishes in dishwasher which was full. Thought was maybe it would get cleaned the next day and restocked with coffee. Entered room which was clean with the exception of crumbs on the small table and chairs in the room. The next day we awoke to the room becoming a little warmer. Went out to make coffee and get the advertised English breakfast that was supposed to be included. Nothing there. Text the contact number and they said they don't provide that and asked who i booked through. Told them and they said they would reach out to hotels.com because info was incorrect. Looking back at reviews it looked like it used to be offered. Someone else also recently stayed and said breakfast was missing as well. Went back in the room to find out was getting warmer. Temp set at 68 but temp was 72 and getting warmer. Text again. Said the app told them it was working. Waited and temp went to 75. Had to get ready for the day in a warm and stuffy room. They sent someone out after we left. Addressed the issue, which we were greatful for but no aplogy or anything for all of the issues. We stayed two nights and the kitchen was finally being addressed and coffee pods added morning we were leaving. No spoons in drawers. There are no instructions for anyone staying there and using a shared space.

Seems like a great hotel, booked my parents there with a reservation made late in the day, and the staff took a call and got us the security code to access the hotel area and room promptly. Large, clean, well-appointed rooms.

The beds are so comfortable and the decor is great! There is really no staff there to connect with, which is different. You go and leave like its an apartment- they just send codes and there is no service desk. I loved the place! Very steep stairs for older people to go up.

Loved this place! Only stayed one night but it was fantastic! The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and I am picky when it comes to this due to having a bad back. Loved the contactless check-in and check-out also. The only thing that was not liked was the bathroom door. It is a sliding barn door and when the door was closed there was about a half inch to and inch gap. The entire bathroom was visible through the gap which could be seen through the reflection of the wall mirror located in the room. The hotel was extremely clean and in a safe area that was in walking distance to shopping, food and nightlife. Would definitely stay there again!!!

This is a cool place for stay, close to lots of great places to eat and shop (if you like comic books, vintage, small businesses). It was a bit much to be in one room with our 2 teenagers, with only one bathroom with a hanging door that didn’t provide privacy (doesn’t close entirely) and no bathroom fan. The room got super warm during our second night and we couldn’t get it to cool down, so sleeping was kind of miserable for us—and because there are no staff on duty, we couldn’t do anything about it. I would say this is the perfect place for a single adult or a couple, but not amazing for a family sharing one room.

The room is clean but spartan. There is no closet just some hooks on wall and one uncomfortable chair. There is a two floor stair climb required and hall could use better lighting because you have to key in an entry code. Had to park on street even though they say they have parking. Only 6 spots available and apparently first come first served.

We like the overall decor and clean modern style of the spaces. The amenities are thoughtful, too. Room and bathroom both very spacious. We like the bath products also. While the two bed stools are very cute, the room can benefit from having a loveseat type of sofa at the foot of bed instead. The single corner lounge chair can work well for single traveler but not for couples; my husband and I had no space to lounge and watch TV, except sitting in the bed :)

I usually don’t post negative reviews but I can’t not warn people about this place. We stayed for one night at Kinn Guesthouse Bayview. The refrigerator was broken so we lost all of the food that we had for our trip and our leftovers from the Public Market. We had a toddler with us so food is crucial! We wanted to shower the night we arrived but could not due to BLACK MOLD inside and outside of the shower. That’s disgusting and hazardous! You could see where they painted over the mold but it grew right back! We would have really liked to shower before getting on the road the next day. As we were packing things up the morning we were leaving, our toddler opened the bathroom door (which we kept closed with the fan on the whole time-black mold) and then closed it, the door came crashing down and landed on the side of the bed. That was terrifying! He easily could have been very hurt. My husband put it back up there but realized the door was missing a piece that was needed and that’s why it fell off so easily. We contacted Ewvin the property manager to discuss the three issues and he was quick to get off the phone and said he would go look at the mold and get back to us after speaking to the owner. Could not get into room with code provided, had to get an emergency code, had to call back a second time as they did not send the new code as promised. Person states this happened before and they probably need to get it fixed. No parking spaces available, had to park blocks away with luggage. Kitchen barely stocked, only 3 coffee pods, 2 granola bars. Room was nice however. except for the toilet paper roll holder was broken.

One of the BEST hotels we have stayed at! Literally kept comparing it to our favorite on the amalfi coast! The room was clean and so spacious, insane light and the common space was amazing for coffee and breakfast. Would be great for a family trip with the rooms and the common space. An added bonus was having an amazing restaurant below! Overall so easy to navigate, safe parking, so walkable and just a great stay. We will be back!

The room was quite lovely. Clean and very comfortable with some nice modern touches including the large accessible shower and high-end mattress and bedding. Nice view of the neighborhood through large windows, providing daylight and ambiance in the evening. Enjoyed the common kitchen with Nespresso, glassware, and other options. As a person with some mobility restrictions, I wasn't aware that navigating to the floor where the guest rooms are located requires using a steep staircase. I was able to get up and down but it was less than ideal. On the first night of my stay, there was a family down the hall with very small and very loud children who didn't settle down until well after midnight. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the property to others, with the caveats above.

It is a beautiful property in a great location. But it took a while to get the access code texted to check in (there are no employees on site). Additionally, I wish hotels would just have regular old light switches instead of mystery buttons and hidden clickers to turn on lights. And the "Free Breakfast" was packets of oatmeal and a jar of granola. Oh and coffee. But no sugar. For the price of the room one might have at least thought juice? A great concept but lacking in warmth. The adjacent restaurant staff at Sorella were all terrific.

Parking was an issue. The alley was tore up and city was doing repairs, so we had to contact the milwalkee parking authotities to get an overnight parking permit for street parking. No staff on sight. Cipher lock to enter building and room. Code was needed. Room was fabulous. Great renovation of a very old beutiful building. Great spacious shower. Great restaurant on site. Enjoyed our stay

Overall a very good stay. Location was very good for our needs. Able to walk to stores nearby for a quick bite to eat. The room was a good size and overall very nice. Bed was a little soft for my liking. Not sure why it said breakfast included on website. The only thing they had was coffee, tea and packages of oatmeal. Not exactly what I would call breakfast included. But there are locations within a 3 to 5 minute walk that did offer breakfast choices. I would stay here again when visiting Milwaukee.

The shades in the room are not darkening and light comes in very early so be ready to start your day when the sun rises. The room was a nice side, but it was loud due to the gap under the door to the hallway. There are also 4 flights of stairs to get to the rooms and no elevators. Wonderful boutique hotel in a great, walkable neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. One nitpick; There was no threshold below the door. The gap between the room door and the floor was 2ish inches. It felt like a dressing room door and left me with less privacy. There were no noise complaints, however and I still enjoyed my stay.
