Art Painting canal view apartment

While the property has some nice amenities, its listing is downright false. The property lists itself as beachfront, which is not true. the complex is across the street from the beach but this apartment is well up a steep hill and is a not in any sense of the word beachfront. Beachfront is defined as immediately adjacent to the sand, and there’s no way they could advertise this apartment as beachfront in good faith. For older folks like us, the climb back up from the beach was difficult and unexpected. The listing also said that it has a king size bed. Also untrue. The bed is not even queen size. At best, it was a full-size bed at least 20 inches narrower than a king size bed. The shower drain was not working and the bathroom and kitchen were flooded anytime someone took a shower more than 30 seconds. At the end of the stay we notified them of that and they said they would have it fixed, but I find it difficult to believe that they did not know before know before beforehand. We should have requested to be moved to an honest property, I guess, but we decided to tough it out, because we didn’t want to lose more vacation time packing up again and moving.

Appartement très bien localisé au calme. Bien aménagé, propre comprenant un fonds de produits très appréciable. Suggestion : une table de salle à manger plus grande serait utile pour pouvoir manger à six. Navrant : le volet d'une chambre ne fermait pas et la porte était degondée ; l'hôte ne nous avait pas informés. L'horaire de sortie annoncé pour 11h a été refusé et nous avons dû quitter le logement pour 10h.

We had a lovely stay at this apartment! It's away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Venice and within 0.1 miles of a large grocery store. There is central A/C, but it's set on a timer, so it would get warm in the late morning when it was turned off. The beds are a little firm if you are a side sleeper, but the pillows are a good quality. Checking in was slightly complicated because you had to coordinate meeting someone there. We were having to drop off a rental car and take the train and then a water taxi to get to the apartment, so it was difficult to give them a good time. However, our check in person was flexible and helpful when we arrived. The apartment is furnished well and you have everything you need in the kitchen. The fridge is small, however, and doesn't have a freezer. (Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind when you buy groceries.) We would stay here again and thank you for hosting us!

What a disaster! Our stay was in late december and the temperature in the apartment could not be raised above 19 degrees C. Very uncomfortable. In the kitchen, major equipment did not function. The connecting doors from the living room to the hall were taken away, resulting in an even colder and non-cosy atmosphere. Further: the first photo on VRBO is misleading because not taken from the apartment but the view is on another canal. Contrary to their general terms & conditions, VRBO was not available for help. In short: after one cold night we left the apartment for a hotel. We filed a complaint and the owner flatly refused a refund. As did VRBO, who claimed we should have contacted them first. But, as said, they were unreachable. Kafka! All in all, due to all the defects of this apartment, our vacation was a lot more expensive than planned, due to the extra money spent on hotel and restaurants. In short: a very disappointing experience.

Great location. Great apartment! Clean and 100% as advertised. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience Venezia away from the tourist crowds and experience how Venetian’s live. Thank you !
