Perfect stay for one night. Great little spot for food in the evening, especially if the sun is out! Breakfast was also great with hot and cold options. Would need to drive to nearby places as it’s a little bit out from Clitheroe and there’s not too much immediately around - apart from walks etc.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Stayed in the deluxe king room with a large jacuzzi bath. All staff were friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely and they catered gluten free for me. Service in the bar and restaurant was 1st class. We have booked to stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Calf’s Head, Clitheroe. We attended a wedding at a venue not far from here, so it was a great location for us. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the downstairs bar/dining was an asset to our stay. We both enjoyed a lovely full English the morning after with the option of fruit, cereals and yoghurts. The outdoor space here is gorgeous so would definitely recommend going here to enjoy it on a nice day. The only criticism I can give is that the ceiling in our room needed attention. It appeared to have damp or potential old leak stains, which could do with being cared for. Overall we had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely visit again.

Overnight stay. The bed was comfortable but the room was rather gloomy and definitely in need of renovation. One of the bedside lights did not work (even when I tried moving the lightbulb from the other side). The location of the hotel is lovely, though.

The hotel is in a great location and the food and breakfast is very nice. The room we stayed in on this ocasion (room 9) is tiny, more of a single room rather than a double.The mattress is well over due replacement, split with the springs bulging. The bathroom obviously has a drainage issue with the smell. Must say on previous visits in different rooms we have had no issues and we would go back, just not to room 9.

The property was in the most beautiful setting. It was a detached building housing 2 downstairs bedrooms. It was spotless and the staff were so lovely. It was warm and very welcoming. We included the breakfast and it was delicious

We arrived early 12noon our rooms were ready nice and clean. Staff were really friendly. Bed was very comfortable best night sleep in a hotel for a while.Breakfast was excellent fresh fruit salad, yogurt,full English breakfast and toast were all excellent did I say the staff were Brilliant

Staff members very pleasant , food brilliant but expensive,Room 4, quite dark due to a very small window,View, overlooking the kitchen roof, boiler (I presume) gas vent outlet. Room obviously ex bedroom cut down to accommodate a bathroom. A 3 night stay was adequate.

I have literally done hundreds of reviews over 15 years with Expedia and this hotel is absolutely a top 3 contender. This is the BEST English country Hotel I have stayed at. The premises, staff and meals are superb. Do NOT bypass this hotel and I would even plan a trip to purposely include a visit. Loved every moment of our stay.

Had an enjoyable 2 day stay. Good food and staff at the hotel. Didn't realize I had dropped my phone in the room when leaving which PJ helped to return to me. Thanks

Excellent accommodation, fantastic food and lots of it. Staff attentive and engaging. Beautiful location with views of Pendle hill, peaceful as not close to main roads.

On arrival the receptionist on duty was extremely helpfull and informative.Our bedroom in the in the annexe was acceptable although the bathroom facilities had problems which we reported. We had invited friends to join us for Dinner that evening alas the food was abysmal,two of uscordered cheese and onion pie and requested no vegetables or baked beans to accompany the said dish,the cheese and onion pie lacked cheese and flavour and.mushy, the chips accompanying the pie pale and insipid alas the scamoi and chips the samev. We certainly would not recommend dining at aThe Calf's Head .

We arrived early 12noon our rooms were ready nice and clean. Staff were really friendly. Bed was very comfortable best night sleep in a hotel for a while.Breakfast was excellent fresh fruit salad, yogurt,full English breakfast and toast were all excellent did I say the staff were Brilliant

Amazing place to stay. We had a big family wedding nearby - great breakfast and dinner. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely pub B&B. Good vibe, really good food, both in the evening and breakfast. Rooms nice and service was good. Really nice gardens for summer drinks outside and kids.

This place is amazing! The staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating. The room was incredible as was the food. The breakfast was piping hot and I strongly recommend the full English however, there was other beautiful options for breakfast too. I cannot wait to return. Thank you for an incredible stay and experience

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Stayed in the deluxe king room with a large jacuzzi bath. All staff were friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely and they catered gluten free for me. Service in the bar and restaurant was 1st class. We have booked to stay again.

We stayed here for one night on the way back from a family birthday celebration near Skipton as it was very convenient for us, being just a little way off the main road but far enough to be peaceful. We did not have an evening meal (although the menu and food looked very good) as we had spent most of the day eating!! We did however enjoy a nightcap in the bar and a delicious breakfast the following morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful old pub in tiny village. Only complaint was that the dinner portions were so big, we couldn't take advantage of the fry-up the next morning as we were still too full :)

Hot tub was fantastic, the place was so quiet, lovely village and plenty to do. Clithero is a beautiful place. Breakfast was good, and plenty of choice. Definitely come again.
