Hampton Inn & Suites Menomonie-UW Stout

Our first room bathroom was very disgusting! (not cleaned) bed was not really made. Hotel did move us to another room, which was cleaner but still had plastic wrappers on the floor. Pool area was not neat and clean, water had a lot stuff (lint, dirt) floating in it. Was not appealing to swim in.

Very nice stay ... clean and comfortable room. Salt water pool was clean pool and very nice. Wonderful full breakfast in the morning with delicious food. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Check in was good. There was a wedding, not at hotel but lots of people staying. We ended up not staying for breakfast because there was nowhere to sit. I did have a problem with the pool. There was a funky smell, sulfur, and it really looks like it needs a good cleaning. We did use it but our suits smelled, not if chlorine, but something after. I soaked them when I got home hopefully will be better.

Clean, updated room. Very friendly and attentive staff. Complimentary bottled water and a free hot cocoa bar were really nice touches.

This was the perfect stop for us while traveling! The complimentary cookies and water were great. The kids loved the pool. The suite was huge… definitely worth upgrading. Staff was friendly and helpful!

This has become our regular stay when visiting family in Menomonie. Always feel welcome and cared for. Good breakfast options, nice indoor pool and well-equipped fitness center. Mattress was a little soft, but room was clean and comfortable.

Our two day stay was very nice, beds were comfortable, room and bathroom are updated and clean. Breakfast was filling, tea and coffee, plenty of seating. Parking well lit, nice flowers. staff was helpful and professional.

Sink did not drain, bathroom exhaust fan did not work, our bed was not made yet the sheets were just thrown back on the bed. The hallways were dirty. The pool was discusting.

Room was spacious and clean. Pool was a little on the colder side and the first day there were two little kids under 8 that were unsupervised with no adults present at all.

We stay here to be near family in Menomonie, and always find it clean and nice. Indoor pool is great!

Our level (3) had a terrible smell to it. The breakfast was not good; very dirty, minimal food.

Exterior was spotless, interior was spotless and our room was great. The breakfast had a wide selection and was well organized and spacious. The entire staff was friendly.

Room 215 - trash in the bathroom, 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 empty, 1 had 30 sheets, maybe (I have a picture); no washcloths no bath mat towel. two bath towels, so when done with showers used bath towel as a floor towel. Bathroom door did not close (I have picture) Room door, in an accessible room, was extremely hard to open. 1 reading light on the right side of a king bed (I have a picture) TVs did not work in the whole hotel. Could not get free tv, netflix or Apple TV. Slight Animal smell In my opinion, this room should not be reservable. I wanted a room for 1 night. It was $220 - I wish I had reserved at any of the less expensive hotels, as while there may have been issues, it would have been around $100. Room was quiet. And there were 6 hooks in the bathroom - most places have 1. And yes, when I checked out, I listed all the problems and showed the pictures to McKenzie, as the Manager was not in (It was 8am). As it was a 3rd party reservation (they told me when I called to find out how to get the TV to work and was told most of the hotel's TVs had a problem) there was nothing they could do. I have stayed at Hamptons before - never again. For a national brand, I expect a certain standard, like toilet paper, a bathroom door that closes. None of these issues alone is worth complaining about. But there were too many too ignore, especially the bathroom issues. I have no complaints about the front desk, but they couldn't do anything.

We have stayed at the Menomonie Hampton Inn several times without difficulty. When checking in yesterday another guest was complaining that their room hadn't been cleaned (and this was at/after check in time). I should have taken this as an omen. One of our two rooms wasn't cleaned at all, and the other had a dirty shower and housekeeping rag hanging over the shower door. For $200 a night in small town Wisconsin, guests should expect clean rooms as a foundational amenity. We will be staying at alternative lodging in the future.

My priority was that the room be quiet and it was. It was a double queen bed room on the 2nd floor on a Saturday night.. There was a refrigerator in the room; the bathroom was spotless and the beds very comfortable. I enjoyed a hot breakfast of eggs, ham and fried potatores and good coffee in the morning.

I can’t say enough about this property! The hotel was spotless as was the room. The front desk folks were friendly and helpful.

We try to stay here whenever we visit family in Menomonie. Front desk staff were efficient and friendly and free bottled water was offered to all. My room was clean and comfortable with a good shower. We used the pool and the water was warm and the area clean. Breakfast was fine and well-attended. I would have given a rating of "excellent" if the communal areas were more well-attended. The pool was short on towels and the key card was not working, replaced with a confusing fob. The only recycling container on my floor was in the ice-vending area near the elevator. In the four days of my stay that container was never emptied. A pizza box sat on top of it, and a plastic water bottle was never removed from a window sill at the end of the hallway. I understand housekeeping positions are hard to fill, but maybe the Hilton Corp. can try paying livable wages for these often thankless jobs. I appreciated all who took care of things during my stay.

Our beds are comfortable, and the room was nice. The garbage was never taken out, we had to go get our own toilet paper and tissues. I noticed crumbs and food in the hallway that were never vacuumed up our four days we were there. The fitness room did not have any wipes to wipe down the equipment. The free water bottles and cookies were nice.

Very nice room and amenities. It was close to several restaurants. We had four bikes and they allowed us to store them in their meeting room which was appreciated. We were on the fourth floor and it was very quiet.

Room is good size. Was nice having a sofa in the room. Bathroom is good size. Big walk in shower with excellent water pressure. Bed was uncomfortable and pillows were terrible.

Big rooms, very clean

Our suite had more than enough room for me and my 4 children. I was actually impressed with the extra room. Made our stay more comfortable as far as space was concerned. The staff that we did meet seemed friendly and easy to approach if we needed anything. I felt terrible for the young lady who was running breakfast seemingly all on her own. She was doing her best to keep up with things as they ran out, but there were some disappointments when it came to the breakfast selection. It was decent, but I guess I’ve been spoiled by hotels that offer better options. And the orange juice tasted like water unfortunately. One other disappointment for our family was that when we were swimming in the pool, someone’s dog ran in and jumped into the pool. This not only frightened my kids, but that was just gross to have a dog swimming in the pool with them (in my opinion). I understand this is no fault of the hotel, bet we didn’t realize the hotel allows dogs until after we had booked & showed up for our stay. My parents had a different room than me and noticed a weird smell in their room. Even after getting moved to a different room, they still noticed a smell there too. It seemed likely that’s because of dogs being allowed to stay there. Just unpleasant for those of us who aren’t traveling with pets and just want a room that smells clean.

The room was decorated beautifully. So nice to have a couch to sit on versus just the bed. The brd was very comfortable. The room was also very clean. We would definitely stay there again

Took awhile for someone to come check us in at the front desk. Then we had to deal with barking dogs I’m right next to us rebought the day until we finally said something

When checking in we had an issue with our reservations, and the woman (don’t remember her name) at the desk was wonderful about straightening out the issue. The room was very comfortable and clean. Would highly recommended this hotel to anyone traveling in the area. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

One of our favorite Hampton Inns. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean hotel. AND quiet! Great tea and coffee. Breakfast buffet is available.

Stayed for my son’s college graduation. Great service, friendly staff. Hotel was very busy but they still maintained a high level of customer service.

It was nice one night stay. We weren’t in the hotel very much but it was nice while we were there and only about a 5 minute drive from the university.

The property and room were great. Nearby were dining options, groceries and gas. The breakfast wasn't good, I left pretty disappointed with that, the eggs were wet and gross and the sausage tasted odd. My kids weren't even fans of the waffles

The hotel was fabulous and the staff is definitely 5 star. Location was great for our evet at the University. We rented the meeting room and it was the perfect set up for a group of 35. They even gave us a coffee set up Our room was as the pictures show, Up to date, nice and clean. Hot breakfast every morning was always a good selection and kept up. Definitely recommend staying here.

The common areas were not super clean. The breakfast area was not clean and they ran out of breakfast items one hour before closing. Coffee and hot water were cold before 9 am. Positives: beautiful landscaping and nice area for dogs to be walked. Bathrooms were great only barn style doors did not close completely.

Breakfast area needed to be maintained better - the trash cans were overflowing, the counters were not kept clean, and items were not properly restocked.
