Very good location bit hard to find parking but lucky to get outside as only 2 bays apart from that it was really good coffee place next door plus co op store kitchen is brilliant l will definitely go back .

Very convenient for my needs - clean and pleasant room and en suite - on quite a busy road but noise not a problem if windows shut Communication about codes etc to get in was clear There was possibly room for 1 or maybe 2 cars to park in front of the building but space was small so I parked locally and walked to the place. Buses from town centre stop outside. Centre of Oxford is about 10/15 minutes walk away The only problem was that the room was really hot and there seemed to be no way to turn the heating down ! - and this was on all night so we had to sleep with the windows open Large clean kitchen downstairs for guests use Lovely coffee shop around the corner

What a great find! If you are staying in Oxford Iffley Town House is the perfect place for one two or three nights away. Located close to the city centre with bus stops both ways literally outside the door, its convenient. The room was spacious, clean and with great towels and soap provided. There was even a fan and it was a warm night so it was appreciated. Bed was large. Communication and directions to enter the property simple and easy. When I rang the owner as I had a problem with parking I had booked they sorted that for me as there was space outside I was then able to use. Wonderful coffee shop 2 doors down too! Overall definitely a great place to stay!

A perfectly adequate stay for a quick trip to Oxford, comfy bed and good linen, shower very compact and power not great. No kettle , cups or glasses in room however was a kitchen at bottom of house. Did have access issues as I didn’t receive the codes as apparently sent, suggest you check you have these 36hours before you arrive. I managed to park on-site but only 2 places for 8 rooms and very limited on street parking nearby.

Room and property decorated to good standard. Kitchen was a big bonus and back garden. Room spotless. Linen crisp white and soft. Plenty of towels. Suitably impressed for price and location. Only disappointment was the next door breakfast place Silvies was closed.

We have stayed at the Iffley Hown House a few times and always enjoy a comfortable stay. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and the communal kitchen is a real bonus. The property is ideal for concerts at SJE and is 15 minute walk into the city centre so located well. We hope to see you again next year!

We ( my mother and I) had a wonderful stay at this bed and breakfast. Customer service was excellent and efficient, check in was hassle free, the house is immaculate, our room with twin beds was beautiful (great bathroom), the kitchen was functional and spacious, and the back garden was enchanting. There is a Co-op grocery store a block away and a cafe next door that opens on the weekends. A bus stop right outside or a 20min walk will take you to the city centre. The only inconvenience might be if a room faces the road, it might be noisy as the property is on a main street. Our room was facing the garden, it was a little noisy in the morning the cafe was open.

Iffley Townhouse has no reception/ staff on site and I didn’t receive any access codes. I had to call many times on the day to finally catch someone. Not fun. Room was ok but smelled strongly of damp ( coming from mould in bathroom I think). Bathroom was tiny with an unusable sink.

Beds were clean & great. Bathrooms very clean. Temp in the rooms very good. Kitchen was lovely with everything available for cooking. The garden was nice. A few cushions for the outdoor furniture would be a bonus. And some touch up painting on inside of rooms & wall’s going upstairs. We had issues with the hot water but when we called there was immediate help. The female cleaning the rooms was very efficient and helpful. Accent chairs in rms appeared to be old and much used.
Beds were clean & great. Bathrooms very clean. Temp in the rooms very good. Kitchen was lovely with everything available for cooking. The garden was nice. I enjoyed my stay - it is a nice walk into Oxford past the Iffley Sports Grounds, the room was very clean and comfortable and although the instructions were not exactly precise, a kindly passer-by helped me out! I would definitely return.

The place has a lot of potential and it's mainly clean however our bathroom had mould in the shower and on the walls. Furthermore, there was not even hand soap. Other things were lacking or looked very cheap (e.g., the plastic hangers).

There was no soap or facecloths in the bathroom when we checked in. The bathroom was clean but the floor smelled of mildew - the shower must be leaking under the floor. The bathroom had the world’s tiniest sink, hard to use. The bed and clean linens were good. No A/C, just a small fan. The adjoining common kitchen is large. It’s a modest accommodation; I can see why the charge is so reasonable.

We felt that such a spacious room should have had a chair each. Perhaps a small table would have added to our comfort. Very comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. We chose Iffley Town House because we needed a short notice stay for an early start for local hospital, so would stay again if necessary.

Clean, comfortable bed. However, my room (No. 5) was quite noisy in the morning; one of the bay windows does not shut properly, which might have resulted in a cold room (even with the radiator on). I understand that B&B does not offer shampoo and shower gel. Yet I I do think the room should come with a bar of soap as a necessity.

We booked two rooms and they only sent the combination and room number for one of the rooms. But we were able to contact them and get the information we needed quickly. There was also an issue with the heated towel rack being stuck on. They were very responsive and getting that resolved. I loved the shower, the towels, and the beds were very comfortable, It would be nice if they provided glasses or plastic cups in the bathroom and something to put suitcases on, everything had to be on the floor. Overall it was a great place to stay and easy get to the City Crnter. I would stay there again.

Have to say this is a very average place to stay . Positives are it’s very easy to find from the train station and gaining access was very easy . Negatives - needs a good lick of paint and the bed provided was so uncomfortable I hardly slept . I would give it a 2 star rating certainly should be charging less for a room

It's noisy as the room is facing the busy road, and the windows are old wooden single layers penetrating all the sounds from the street. The shower is so small that it's not easy to turn around. And even there's no soap and shampoo.

The check-in process was NOT good. The email confirmation stated codes would be sent ahead of arrival. However, on arrival I realised they had not. In the blistering heat, with poor internet connection on a dying phone, I had to hunt for a phone number, left a voicemail and waited for approx 15 minutes to get my door codes.

In the blistering heat, with poor internet connection on a dying phone, I had to hunt for a phone number, left a voicemail and waited for approx 15 minutes to get my door codes.

A perfectly adequate stay for a quick trip to Oxford, comfy bed and good linen, shower very compact and power not great. No kettle , cups or glasses in room however was a kitchen at bottom of house. Did have access issues as I didn’t receive the codes as apparently sent, suggest you check you have these 36hours before you arrive. I managed to park on-site but only 2 places for 8 rooms and very limited on street parking nearby.

I would have rated the place higher if customer service was better. We had a power-cut and was informed it be sorted out in a couple of hours. We didn't have any heating, lights, WIFI, tv for the remainder of our stay. It was freezing old and we had use our phone torches lights and our phones died because no electricity to charge our phones. As I understood it was a power-cut the next day I tried to talk to the owners for some compensation as I have still used their bed and shower so wasn't expecting a refund or anything. No communication whatsoever since we left and have been chasing them for weeks now. Hence why the low rating as I would have given better rating but customer services isn't great.

Extremely noisy, particularly on a Saturday night. Since no one was on the premises it was particularly annoying and worrying that the access instructions I was given were incorrect.

We ( my mother and I) had a wonderful stay at this bed and breakfast. Customer service was excellent and efficient, check in was hassle free, the house is immaculate, our room with twin beds was beautiful (great bathroom), the kitchen was functional and spacious, and the back garden was enchanting. There is a Co-op grocery store a block away and a cafe next door that opens on the weekends. A bus stop right outside or a 20min walk will take you to the city centre. The only inconvenience might be if a room faces the road, it might be noisy as the property is on a main street. Our room was facing the garden, it was a little noisy in the morning the cafe was open.

Very convenient for my needs - clean and pleasant room and en suite - on quite a busy road but noise not a problem if windows shut Communication about codes etc to get in was clear There was possibly room for 1 or maybe 2 cars to park in front of the building but space was small so I parked locally and walked to the place. Buses from town centre stop outside. Centre of Oxford is about 10/15 minutes walk away The only problem was that the room was really hot and there seemed to be no way to turn the heating down ! - and this was on all night so we had to sleep with the windows open Large clean kitchen downstairs for guests use Lovely coffee shop around the corner

What a great find! If you are staying in Oxford Iffley Town House is the perfect place for one two or three nights away. Located close to the city centre with bus stops both ways literally outside the door, its convenient. The room was spacious, clean and with great towels and soap provided. There was even a fan and it was a warm night so it was appreciated. Bed was large. Communication and directions to enter the property simple and easy. When I rang the owner as I had a problem with parking I had booked they sorted that for me as there was space outside I was then able to use. Wonderful coffee shop 2 doors down too! Overall definitely a great place to stay!

Loved this property but at night the area was a little unnerving. It wouldn’t put us off using this property again. The room was great and good facilities. Generally good location as could walk into the city and some nice pit stops on the way home

We booked two rooms and they only sent the combination and room number for one of the rooms. But we were able to contact them and get the information we needed quickly. There was also an issue with the heated towel rack being stuck on. They were very responsive and getting that resolved. I loved the shower, the towels, and the beds were very comfortable, It would be nice if they provided glasses or plastic cups in the bathroom and something to put suitcases on, everything had to be on the floor. Overall it was a great place to stay and easy get to the City Crnter. I would stay there again.

I was traveling solo on business & found the Iffley House. It is near some pubs and a local grocery store. Directly on the bus 3/3a route (don’t use the bus directions they send you!). About a 25 min casual walk to city center (or 5min bus ride if not in rush hour).

We have stayed at the Iffley Hown House a few times and always enjoy a comfortable stay. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and the communal kitchen is a real bonus. The property is ideal for concerts at SJE and is 15 minute walk into the city centre so located well. We hope to see you again next year!

Very good location bit hard to find parking but lucky to get outside as only 2 bays apart from that it was really good coffee place next door plus co op store kitchen is brilliant l will definitely go back .

Room and property decorated to good standard. Kitchen was a big bonus and back garden. Room spotless. Linen crisp white and soft. Plenty of towels. Suitably impressed for price and location. Only disappointment was the next door breakfast place Silvies was closed.

Staff very difficult to get hold of to get in, carpet very dirty, no shower soap or shampoo, no tea or coffee facilities, only two parking bays, and no parking around.

So convenient on a frequent no 3 or 3a bus route to the city centre and train station, you really don't need a car. The room was fine and had everything you would need. Possibly a kettle etc actually in the room might be nice. My room was downstairs near the kitchen but my friend's was on the top floor so a long way for a cup of tea! Everything was spotless. The kitchen and dining area were exceptional, the kitchen had everything you could want even if you wanted to do a big meal, and the dining room was lovely and bright and spacious and the garden was pretty. The staff were unobtrusive and obviously had done a good job with it all being so clean.

Great location for the O2 and free parking was a bonus! The rooms probably reflect the price - quite tired with a musty smell. We had room 2 which was downstairs and next to the kitchen so it was noisy at times (someone had a 1am snack!!)..upstairs rooms may be ok. Entry instructions were clear and simple (key codes)
