We were welcomed with open arms and helped with parking and made to feel so comfortable. It is a beautiful place so convenient to the old town and the National Palace. We celebrated a perfect Easter holiday here. Thank you hosts!

The space was excellent and great location for waking around the town. My only issue was the road access in and out of the area was not possible as the road is closed-off to pedestrians from 7:00 am until 5:00 PM, you can request a one-time access code, but the logistics can be frustrating with all the one-way roads. I also recommend the hosts provide better check-in directions, possible add more photos for where/how to access. I tried accessing the space at night and it was very difficult to see the number "15" of the address. The directions also mentioned a ramp to the "left" when it\'s located to the "right" when driving down the one-way road. This would have made checking-in much more easy. I still give the space a 5-star review because everything was great. Just a difficult area to navigate. Once you get familiar with it, it\'s fine.

First of all, we never got to stay in this hotel!!! Reason being there was no parking for our rental car. We arrived at the hotel but couldn’t even stop in front to find out where to oark. We drove to a spot where we could phone and inquire about parking. The person on the phone didn’t help us at all and told us she was there until 5pm. ????? The congested traffic in Sintra and the unavailability of parking and the unavailability of speaking to someone at the hotel to aid us in finding parking , caused us to forfeit our reservation there. We did however find out the person who answered phone was there until 5!!! We were very disappointed that parking availability was not mentioned on the Expedia website. All in all, totally unsatisfied.

Nice and central location in the old town of Sintra. But the house needs some renovation and better service. It was hard to reach the reception before and during stay. And during the stay, one had to ask for everything extra, including cleaning or a bottle of water, although it was included every day according to the booking.

Spacious clean and comfortable room with fresh sheets and towels, great air conditioning and everything you need. The receptionist Dulce was so friendly and helpful, and even treated my daughters when we left. Thoroughly recommend, excellent value as well

The neighbor has a big dog which was barking loudly whenever we were coming back from the hotel (if you don't like dogs/fear them, definitely not a great location for you). Aside of that, the staff was very kind during the entire trip. We were staying 2 days and we lost the hot water for pretty much the entire time (only got it on the morning of the last day). It was something out of control by the hotel, I get that but I was expecting a discount, a meal or something to compensate. Whenever you are sweating a lot by visiting the castle and the palace, the shower was a necessity. They accommodated once by offering another room to get the shower between 2 customers so that's why the staff is great. Last thing is that I found a few bugs in the room, nothing like bed bugs at least but more like one dead bug on the wall and a spider in its spiderweb.

Quanto ao atendimento dos recepcionistas Dulce e Rubem, foram excelentes! as acomodações apenas as camas foram confortáveis; quanto a limpeza e acessibilidade achei ruim! Por se tratar de um hotel 3 estrelas poderiam dar mais atenção aos transbordamentos do box do banheiro, que podem causar acidentes inclusive vazando água nos quartos! Não trocaram as toalhas de banho mesmo com a autorização posta na porta! O cheiro de esgoto a caminho da recepção e pequeno almoço causam desconforto no momento da alimentação!

I was wrong! I had given a bad review to this B&B, but I was wrong. I said I had money stolen and I found the money. I had hidden it and forgot where I hid it. The manager was super nice but also suspicious, justly, because they had never had an incident such as this. He treated me with respect and offered an extra day at the B&B. Well, my opinion was tainted by my mistake. I wish to correct it. The place was fantastic, very quiet, even when we had a window facing the street. This is perfectly fine since the town shuts down a little after 9pm and doesn't pick up again till 9am. Very convenient for us who like sleeping late! It was truly an adorable place, roomy and clean and I apologize for my mistake.

When I was finally able to make contact with the host, she was very kind and did her best to communicate at first. While she included pictures, some of the instructions of where to go once arriving at the property were confusing. The room was very cute and quite large, however there was no storage in the bathroom (ex. Hook for towel). When getting ready for bed, I found three small bugs in the bed that looked quite like bed bugs. I tried reaching out to the host but got no responses. It was quite an un restful sleep and when I informed the front desk the next morning, she said those are “usually” tree bugs. Nonetheless, quite disgusting to have bugs in the bed. I also noticed a small hair as well as some sort of makeup stain on the bedding. In addition to this, with there being no reception past 5 pm, you want to ensure that if leaving luggage at this property, you can only keep it there until that time (something they did not communicate clearly). Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay at this property. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower was wonderful after a long day of hiking to see all of the beautiful castles. I could hear other people's conversations (thin walls) and the floors creaked when others were heading to their rooms. It felt safe and comfortable to stay here. The two staff members I spoke with were very nice. I was offered a refreshing water with mint and cookies in the lobby. Breakfast is available, but you have to pay for it. It was an easy walk to the center of Sintra. Souvenir shops were at the bottom of the property. Easy access to postcards and purses! I would stay here again!

Great location walking distance to restaurants shops Palace. We stayed on 1st floor level can hear walking and slamming luggage noises from next door and upstairs rooms. Large room with big windows, comfortable queen bed and one roll-away twin for 3 of us one pillow each only. Bathroom esp shower and shower door needs repair to avoid wet floor. Place is secured with bolt keys main entry and room. Breakfast is so-so watery orange juice not pure freshly squeezed, not premium brewed coffee served in kettle, limited fruits. Seating is one long breakfast table find your spot. The nice lady room cleaner looks tired needs another person to help. Also needs a cheerful accommodating front desk lady. However with all that said I still recommend Casa do Vinho if not too picky thus a 3.5 star.

Very nice hotel 5 min walk from the royal Palace and bus stops. Good rooms with comfortable bedding, clean bathroom, A/C and heating. Breakfast selection is very nice with quality items. Staff is super friendly, especially Dulce at the front desk. Stayed 9 nights and was pleased every day.

Rooms were nice and bfs were comfy. Breakfast (extra cost of 12 euros pp) was good. Hike up to the moorish castle was great. Air conditioning did not function which wasn’t terrible issue for us but if it had been any hotter . . Overall, recommend.

We SO loved our stay. Our room had a view of the Castello dos Mouros AND the palacio national. Unbelievable!! The host is exceptionally friendly and helped us figure out our train to Obidos. The room was spacious and very clean. I hope to come back one day!!

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The location was absouloutly beatifull, and the breakfast was tasty, generous and fresh. The only critique is that the rooms are right above a main street so ultimatley their was some noise at some points of the night. Overall it was a great stay.

Spacious clean and comfortable room with fresh sheets and towels, great air conditioning and everything you need. The receptionist Dulce was so friendly and helpful, and even treated my daughters when we left. Thoroughly recommend, excellent value as well

The space was excellent and great location for waking around the town. My only issue was the road access in and out of the area was not possible as the road is closed-off to pedestrians from 7:00 am until 5:00 PM, you can request a one-time access code, but the logistics can be frustrating with all the one-way roads. I also recommend the hosts provide better check-in directions, possible add more photos for where/how to access. I tried accessing the space at night and it was very difficult to see the number "15" of the address. The directions also mentioned a ramp to the "left" when it\'s located to the "right" when driving down the one-way road. This would have made checking-in much more easy. I still give the space a 5-star review because everything was great. Just a difficult area to navigate. Once you get familiar with it, it\'s fine.

First of all, we never got to stay in this hotel!!! Reason being there was no parking for our rental car. We arrived at the hotel but couldn’t even stop in front to find out where to oark. We drove to a spot where we could phone and inquire about parking. The person on the phone didn’t help us at all and told us she was there until 5pm. ????? The congested traffic in Sintra and the unavailability of parking and the unavailability of speaking to someone at the hotel to aid us in finding parking , caused us to forfeit our reservation there. We did however find out the person who answered phone was there until 5!!! We were very disappointed that parking availability was not mentioned on the Expedia website. All in all, totally unsatisfied.

Wonderful staff are so helpful and friendly. Perfect location near restaurants. The A/C was a wonderful surprise as they were having a very warm late September. I recommend!

I was due to arrive around 4 pm but arrived around 4:50. The access gate was closed which was meant to be open till five pm. My phone battery was flat and I had no means to contact them about after hours access as they had not provided any information in their previous email. As such I had to stay in a different property. Overall very bad service and I will never book such a property again where there is no means of access and proper communication. I couldn't rate the property because I couldn't get access

Nice and central location in the old town of Sintra. But the house needs some renovation and better service. It was hard to reach the reception before and during stay. And during the stay, one had to ask for everything extra, including cleaning or a bottle of water, although it was included every day according to the booking.

Amazing location, close to main historic square on road to Quinta de Regalia. Lots of places to eat close by, and a couple of streets back are great too.

The Casa do Vinho Sintra Guest House is perfectly placed in the historic center of Sintra. The room was a good size and the staff were accommodating and friendly. We would give 5 stars except for the dog that barked incessantly most of the evening from the house next door.

Great location walking distance to restaurants shops Palace. We stayed on 1st floor level can hear walking and slamming luggage noises from next door and upstairs rooms. Large room with big windows, comfortable queen bed and one roll-away twin for 3 of us one pillow each only. Bathroom esp shower and shower door needs repair to avoid wet floor. Place is secured with bolt keys main entry and room. Breakfast is so-so watery orange juice not pure freshly squeezed, not premium brewed coffee served in kettle, limited fruits. Seating is one long breakfast table find your spot. The nice lady room cleaner looks tired needs another person to help. Also needs a cheerful accommodating front desk lady. However with all that said I still recommend Casa do Vinho if not too picky thus a 3.5 star.

Very nice hotel 5 min walk from the royal Palace and bus stops. Good rooms with comfortable bedding, clean bathroom, A/C and heating. Breakfast selection is very nice with quality items. Staff is super friendly, especially Dulce at the front desk. Stayed 9 nights and was pleased every day.

Rooms were nice and bfs were comfy. Breakfast (extra cost of 12 euros pp) was good. Hike up to the moorish castle was great. Air conditioning did not function which wasn’t terrible issue for us but if it had been any hotter . . Overall, recommend.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The location was absouloutly beatifull, and the breakfast was tasty, generous and fresh. The only critique is that the rooms are right above a main street so ultimatley their was some noise at some points of the night. Overall it was a great stay.

Breakfast menu was food but I paid for breakfast when I checked in for the 2 of us for 2 days...when we arrived on the morning of Day #1, she said we didn't pay for breakfast :( But said we could ahead & she would check with the reception desk. It worked out because we did pay but it was not a great way to start the morning

Fantastic location, Nice looking hotel, Good size rooms. Smells in room, Shower water had no where to go as it must have been blocked, (most probally the cause of the smells) Kettle in room but no coffee or tea provided, No heating was cold at night with no extra sheets. Very noisy rooms

Adriana da recepção foi ótima, muito amável, o quarto é amplo e confortável! A infraestrutura do centro histórico, é precária de farmácia, mercado! Vale a pena se abastecer antes de ir, porque ficar andando de carro em Sintra é inviável!

Staff was very attentive and helpful. We did not have breakfast at the place, but they did offer breakfast for 10 euros. The bathroom shower doors could use some renovating. Also, the path to get to the reception area, around the back of the restaurant, looks like an abandoned alley way. There was debris collected to the side of the building, it didn't give the building a good aspect. This is why I gave it a rating of 4 and not 5. I do want to mention the terrific italian restaurant, Fatto. We went there for dinner and went back for lunch the next day. Everything we ate was delicious. There were four of us, we each ordered something different, and we taste tested everything. The pasta, the raviolis, the calzonne, the lasagne,the bread, the pizza, everything was delicious!!!!! Highly recommemd this restaurant.
