Old Town Guest House

Wonderful experience in Genoa Affittacamere Old Town was the perfect base for exploring the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. A huge thank you to Francesco, who was an outstanding host and made sure I had everything I needed for a great stay. I would definitely stay here again!

My sister and I stayed for 3 nights , very comfortable beds and pillows , very very clean and great location to everything and walkable . I was aware we would be on the 3rd floor with no lift , which was OK with me , but for some people it could be a problem as there is 81 steps one way up , and I know this because I counted them every day . There was no air conditioning and it was 35 degrees every day and very hot nights but , the ceiling fan was much appreciated. Our host Francesco was very kind and helped us with our luggage .

Room is in good location in the city, host is friendly and room/bathroom was clean throughout the stay.

Exceptional. The location could not be better. When have you ever stayed in a XIII building? Here’s your chance. Yes, it’s a steep climb with suitcases, but Francesco helped! And yes, you have to climb up and down, but it’s a great workout, plus you get to admire all the old doors in the building and marvel the staircase that folks have been using for several centuries. You are also located right next to an amazing cafe which serves the most delicious coffee and pistachio croissants (yes it’s the best in Genoa). Also, take your host’s recommendations to visit nearby attractions. You won’t be disappointed and they are not in any guidebooks. So go and enjoy Genoa frozen in time with its little carruggie and be surprised. This place is magical.
