Great place to stay after crossing the Atlantic on the Queen Mary 2. Great harbor views on both sides of the hotel, great restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Very nice spa with indoor pool and steam rooms. I would stay here again.

Excellent hotel with sea view, we enjoyed the spa facilities and my 10 year old enjoyed swimming everyday in the pool and watching movies in the cinema room.

From the fabulous staff at check in, to the gorgeous comforts of my cozy double this hotel really is quite special. If it is first class hospitality and modern yet warm luxury you are looking for then this is for you. There is even complementary gin in the room ( shame I was on business) I didn’t make it up to the roof top bar- but hear it’s amazing- but I did sit out on my beautiful balcony over looking the yachts. To finish it off the gym is pretty impressive for a hotel gym !

Beware the car park opposite the hotel “your parking space” The car park is privately owned and they do not respond to emails if you are overcharged or dispute you paid for your parking. The company has a notoriously bad reputation for overcharging and have nothing to do with the hotel.

Harbor Hotel is outstanding for service, cleanliness and for the restaurant on the top floor with a harbor view. If you are going on a cruise ship they transport you for free to it. If you arrive before the check in time, there is a spa and gym.

Beautiful harbour-side hotel with lovely views. Excellent spa. My only niggle is that the architect over-complicated the lighting system. Our room had 9 light switches (excluding the one for the bathroom) and it was impossible for us to turn off the dimmed light in the entrance hall area - no matter what switch combo we tried. My son and his gf had the same issue in their room.

The property is immaculate, the room was so fresh and new feeling and incredibly clean. It felt very high end. There a few bars very close by and also a convenience store which was welcomed for snacks and water for the room (although a small bottle was provided) The only small gripes we had were when making a table booking for the Harbar. The system does give a description of the different areas Harbar you can book. So, upon arrival we were told we’d booked the ‘lounge’ which was a high top table in the bar (or a very low table not suitable for eating at). If a description of each area to book had been present we would have selected the ‘restaurant (which at the time we thought might be too formal for our needs when we only wanted a light bite). I did put a note on our booking to advise of our requirements but when mentioned they looked at me blankly. The other issue was the parking and specifically charging points for electric vehicles. These spaces nr charging points are not close to the hotel (where you would expect) they are a 5 minute walk away in a multi-storey car park. Finally, for the price we paid, I would have liked to have seen at least a continental breakfast included

We only stayed one night but we were so impressed. The property is stunning. The restaurants and bars were great giving me London vibes. All of the staff we dealt with from reception to restaurant were fantastic. The room itself was stylish and super clean. We will definately be back next time we visit Southampton.

We stayed on a Sunday night having been on a Sea Seekers charter during the day. The hotel had their own parking, allowed us to leave our luggage in the morning & we finally checked in around 7pm & our luggage was in our room. The room (331) was lovely, nice views over the harbour & was spotless, very comfy & well equipped. We had dinner in the Jetty restaurant & the food & service was excellent. Overall a great stay.

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience at The Harbour Hotel. This included issues with rude reception staff, a dirty room and spa areas and dining issues where meat was served to us when we cannot eat it for religious reasons despite outlining this to staff.

Spotlessly clean rooms with a beautiful view of the harbour. Comfortable queen sized beds and excellent air conditioning and WiFi. My only negative, the pillows were hard and lumpy, could do with replacing.

The hotel is good: the room and bed comfortably (although the bathtub at the foot of the bed was a silly idea!) appreciated the complementary gin! Silliest light switches ever - had to call reception for instructions on how to switch off the lights! No easy way to contact reception - had to use my mobile to call central switchboard, then press 0. HarBar restaurant was okay, good service, but overpriced. All in all: not quite 5 stars, pretending to be something they’re not. Somewhat disappointing!

Great hotel and location. Food in the HarBar in the evening was gorgeous. We stayed in a room on the 5th floor which was a little noisy with the music from the 6th floor. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel was great and very comfy in the beds. BUT on the top floor (5) is NOT good to stay in as it’s right under the restaurant/bar. Very noisy and can hear chairs moving around all night.

Our room was 418… took elevator to 4th floor but then to walk up a steep flight of stairs to room! I have difficulty climbing stairs, this was not expected and not appreciated!

The hotel is very nice although I felt the cost per room was slightly high. The room was well presented and very clean, a few marks on the carpet but otherwise excellent. I would caution travellers opting for level 5 as you are directly below the bar/restaurant and you are woken early by chairs and tables being moved/dragged across the floor.

Hotel and room were both clean and tidy. Had exceptional service from restaurant staff during breakfast. We were served by a very affable and helpful older gentleman (he had a dog but his name escapes me …). All staff from front desk to breakfast were especially helpful.

I liked everything. Supervisor went with me to the room and showed me features. I arrived from a the U.S. exhausted from travel of 24 hours and was treated like royalty. I arrived early in the morning and without hesitation was immediately given a room. This place and the employees were amazing!!! Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay!!

The staff at the hotel were extremely rude and they acted like they were above us. They ignored us and we always had to get up to get someone's service. It is an upper-class hotel and restaurant. However, just because we were tourists and not their frequent customers, they did not care about waiting on us. They had no idea of our income level.

The staff was incredibly helpful from beginning to end. Forgot to bring my adapters for US to UK, they loaned me one to recharge my phone etc for my stay. We arrived a few hours prior to check in time and were allowed to rest in spa area. We were provided free shuttle to cruise terminal. Our accommodation was excellent. Would stay again.

We have stayed at this hotel many times, probably over a dozen, using it as our pre-and post-cruise hotel. Until now, the service has always been excellent. Unfortunately, during our most recent stay, we had a very disappointing experience with the new manager. She was tall and wearing a black vest, though I was unable to get her name. When we asked if she could check the status of our room, she dismissively replied that check-in was not until 3 pm, without even checking the system. Her tone was condescending and her behavior toward my wife came across as discriminatory and unprofessional. This was very upsetting and unlike any experience we’ve had at this hotel in the past.

Great location for the boat show. Rooms very comfortable. Staff friendly and professional. Only gripe was the lack of staff availability to answer room service calls on a Saturday evening. With restaurants fully booked, they needed more staff on.

Very convenient to cruise port. Nice on site restaurant with others close by and walkable. Lovely outdoor rooftop outdoor space. Somewhat chaotic during check-in and checkout. Lobby area quite tiny.

A compact room with wonderful views overlooking the harbor. Staff was polite and respectful. It was very quiet. I wouldn’t say that the location was convenient but it was pretty. We stayed here before a cruise and don’t regret it. The bed was comfortable and the included gin was a big hit with my partner.

The location is not good, far away from the city center. The room is not very clean. The staff will not let you feel welcome. The car park is not on site the hotel, need to walk to the public car parking , walk 5-7 mins. I will not stay at this hotel again.

Quite simply one of the most outstanding hotels you can choose. A wonderful location, great service, and the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. Amazing views and great dining options also plus a great rooftop bar. Highly recommended.

The hotel location is great. Right on the water with breathtaking view. Hotel is in great condition. I was disappointed to find out that I wasn’t offered a shuttle to the cruise port, and had to pay 15 pounds for a taxi (after I was told it would be no more than 10 pounds). They forgot to mention it when I checked in, and didn’t take responsibility for that. That left a bitter taste in my stomach and that’s why I rated it 4 stars.

Overall lovely hotel, views & staff. No plug sockets by the mirror in our room for hairdryer etc. so couldn't see when drying my hair. We had a dinner reservation at the HarBar restaurant on Saturday evening, ordered the ribeye steak only to be told they'd sold out already, not great for a Saturday night, and because of the limited menu the other options weren't exactly to our liking; we also had incorrect drinks and pudding served.

The hotel is good: the room and bed comfortably (although the bathtub at the foot of the bed was a silly idea!) appreciated the complementary gin! Silliest light switches ever - had to call reception for instructions on how to switch off the lights! No easy way to contact reception - had to use my mobile to call central switchboard, then press 0. HarBar restaurant was okay, good service, but overpriced. All in all: not quite 5 stars, pretending to be something they’re not. Somewhat disappointing!

Great hotel and location. Food in the HarBar in the evening was gorgeous. We stayed in a room on the 5th floor which was a little noisy with the music from the 6th floor. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here before embarking on a cruise. The bed was very comfortable, room was beautiful, they provided free water, cookies and gin. Ate in the rooftop restaurant for dinner and breakfast, then took the complimentary shuttle to the port.

We stayed on a Sunday night having been on a Sea Seekers charter during the day. The hotel had their own parking, allowed us to leave our luggage in the morning & we finally checked in around 7pm & our luggage was in our room. The room (331) was lovely, nice views over the harbour & was spotless, very comfy & well equipped. We had dinner in the Jetty restaurant & the food & service was excellent. Overall a great stay.

We waited over 40 minutes for our table, and it took 25 minutes to get a drink while we waited. The person seating people was rude and did not care. Service during dinner was poor and food was fair (overcooked). The restaurant was only half full, so we left before dessert. This is not a five-star restaurant.

This eccentric hotel was very clean. The two onsite restaurants were both very good. The concierge staff was successful in getting us a cab to get to our cruise ship on time. The only negatives were: 1) I did not receive a response to an inquiry about cruise shuffles before our arrival and 2) guest services did not tell us that our room was at the top of a steep flight of stairs. We had to return to the front desk for a bellman and did not get our luggage for another 2 hours.

Great hotel, only let down was not being able to access the harbar as there was a private function, which was a shame given our main reason for booking was to eat at the harbar
