A nice little overnighter with friends at the Wheatsheaf. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had our evening meal at the Thai restaurant next door which was amazing. We did see some plates coming out before leaving and the food at the hotel looked good too. Our room (superior)was nicely done, lovely fluffy towels and a great size shower. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. My only reason for downgrading the amenities was because there was no lift. We would go back though

Welcome was spot on - very friendly but professional. Food great and room very well presented. My only issue is road noise but hotel has installed extra glazing so bring ear plugs (I am a very light sleeper as live ima quiet location) ample car parking with free chargers

I stayed twice once on Thursday the 6th April and once on the 10th April. Both stays where great and ideal as i was traveling from Glasgow to London and wanted a perfect place for breaking the journey, I have electric car and the hotel let me use their electric car charger which was a bonus

Easy to find the hotel is in the centre of Sandbach Plenty of parking The staff were helpful and welcoming The choice of food especially the breakfast was excellent There are shops such as Boots, Waitrose and Costa close by I would happily recommend the Wheatsheaf Hotel

Only a short visit but the staff, the room, and hotel service were great. Great breakfast included as was parking. Pub downstairs was a bonus. Small issue with payment was resolved promptly. Thanks

Good hotel. Our only problem was the steep stairs and no lift, which were not ideal for someone with mobility issues. Other than that, can't fault it.

Brilliant reception.Aimee met us in the carpark to show us our room. Good cocktail barman. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Would definitely book again.

Central location in Sandbach, with easy walk to coffee and markets. Easy access to motorway as well as the town. The staff are responsive and eager to please. The kitchen makes an excellent Eggs Benedict for breakfast! Weak points: rooms are smallish and do not offer individually controlled HVAC. Also, parking is tight and it is tough to find a spot in the evenings. Overall, a great place to stay in Sandbach.

Excellent stay at the Wheatsheaf. I was made very welcome, the room was very clean and comfortable. Food and service was exceptional. Overall great value for money and will be back.

Our room was really nice, clean and comfortable. The food was nice. We came with our dog but even though the hotel states that it is dog friendly, it is really we let you bring your dog. There was an area to eat when you have a dog (which was fully booked on the Friday) so we sat in the bar area which had a good atmosphere. We asked to be sat there on the second night as the dog friendly area was out of the way and there was no atmosphere. It is important to us when we come away with our dog that we feel included. We don't have a problem sitting in bar areas, we do quite enjoy it. The bar area could have been bigger there wasn't much room for guests to chill. The carpet was a disgrace, so dirty with spilt drinks. The restaurant area had wooden floors and this would have been much better in the bar area as well. The staff were friendly and polite but the service throughout was a bit discombobulated. And it was as if, if you were in the bar area you were forgotten. On the Friday night it was bar service only but the restaurant was covered, not a problem with that. On the Saturday night it was a bit of both. We were brought the dessert menu but staff never came back. The drinks prices in the drinks menu didn't reflect what you were charged at the bar which was more. We were also over charged for the room. Which has now been refunded. The town itself is lovely. The hotel is fine but as it is it isn't a 5* as advertised.

The room ( no 19) was spotless and the bed very comfy. Bathroom was spacious with a bath and a walk in shower. We had an evening meal there which was delicious and a substantial breakfast the next morning. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. Smiles all round.

A very pleasant stay, easy going very helpful staff. Beautiful hotel, comfortable bed and very clean room. The only thing I would change is the coffee machine it was very noisy and didn't always work, Kettle would be better. But overall very good

The hotel is of a nice standard. Things I would look to improve on. Noise from the road (I had a front facing room). In addition, the internet was dreadful and unusable- 6mb. The was delicious and the service excellent

Excellent - atmosphere, layout, decor. What a lovely place. Staff were extremely welcoming, design of the room was lovely with everything you could need. Even a fan! Only tiny issue was it was a very hot night and the window is very small and therefore it was very difficult to circulate cool air. Breakfast was delicious. Would certainly recommend and would definitely stay again if in the area .

The room was beautiful, we were in a room at the top which retained the original features of beams. Clean and fresh. We needed to keep the fan on all of the time we were in the room so we're glad it wasn't too hot outside. The simple addition of a hook on the bathroom door would negate the need to put items near the sink, on the toilet while changing. But all in all we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Wheatsheaf.

Another wonderful visit at the wheatsheaf. This place never disappoints All amenities to high standard. The bed was very comfortable nice touch with the slippers and gowns even a coffee machine and mini fridge. Nice touch with the room diffuse. Would definitely return.

2nd time I’ve stopped here and it’s still ticks all the boxes. Excellent service all round. I did not have dinner but was very popular. check in, pre check in info and breakfast service was very good. The room was spacious, nicely equipped and comfortable.

Very accommodating friendly staff. Had difficulty with the stairs so they swapped the room for us. Beautiful decor, very clean. Breakfast was amazing, too big for me, I will know for next time!

Our experience was amazing. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate. Especially when I found out too late that I had booked the wrong dates. They rebooked without question. So understanding.

Very nice room and lovely breakfast. If you’re a tea drinker the hot water from the coffee machine is tepid at best but a request for a kettle was promptly accommodated though the milk in the fridge was off but again this was able to swap out for fresh from the bar. If unfamiliar with the area be aware need to drive past hotel to next roundabout and take first exit to gain access to rear.

Easy to find the hotel is in the centre of Sandbach Plenty of parking The staff were helpful and welcoming The choice of food especially the breakfast was excellent There are shops such as Boots, Waitrose and Costa close by I would happily recommend the Wheatsheaf Hotel

Loved the Weatsheaf, great location with nice restaurants nearby as well as quaint and unusual shops. The breakfast was great and the ambience in the restaurant is really relaxing. We stayed one night after a long day driving and left feeling totally refreshed.

Central location in Sandbach, with easy walk to coffee and markets. Easy access to motorway as well as the town. The staff are responsive and eager to please. The kitchen makes an excellent Eggs Benedict for breakfast! Weak points: rooms are smallish and do not offer individually controlled HVAC. Also, parking is tight and it is tough to find a spot in the evenings. Overall, a great place to stay in Sandbach.

The rooms are well kept and clean. They hotel is located conveniently in town. They staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was nice but a little overcooked. Overall I would still recommend this place.

The room ( no 19) was spotless and the bed very comfy. Bathroom was spacious with a bath and a walk in shower. We had an evening meal there which was delicious and a substantial breakfast the next morning. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. Smiles all round.

I loved the decor and ambience food was delicious and flavourful. I loved the breakfast and the dining area it is unique and welcoming. Lauren was so helpful at breakfast. Staff were smiley and accommodating. I will be back next time I go to Manchester. I enjoyed everything the Hotel had to offer. It exceeded my expectations. I had seen it on Four in a bed a few weeks ago and decided to try it out wasn’t disappointed it was fab

Customer service and experience was excellent. Anita and Amy made us feel very welcome. Excellent breakfast, table service rather than buffet, always preferable and good fresh coffee. Easy parking. We were pleased with our room and slept well. Would definitely recommend.

Overall a very good stay. Room was to front of hotel so quite a lot of traffic noise. Although the hotel has secondary glazing it’s not very effective. Staff were helpful and very polite. Bed was a little firm for me but it’s hard to please everyone. Parking to rear of hotel which is great as the hotel is in town centre. Coffee machine in rooms but would personally rather just have a kettle. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.
