Nice pub in a country location. Good food, comfortable room. Rooms are upstairs, a consideration if you have mobility problems. People who run it are lovely. Would happily stay there again.

We took a bad start as the property was without electricity when we arrived (a problem of the whole area) but after that was solved, everything in our stay was perfect; The host gives us friendly service of breakfast and the restaurant was FABULOUS, with nice wines and excellent food. I had lobster and enjoyed every bit of it. The garden is pleasant to sit in with a good beer, they have several good beers on tap. I would stay again.

Great place to stay, friendly staff, great breakfast and a comfortable room. The later check in time was more difficult as we were walking the coast path but we were blessed with good weather and enjoyed relaxing in the beer garden.

We had a lovely stay here whilst exploring Cornwall. The room is small and basic but charming in its own way - we’re in an old pub! The bathroom is also small but has what you need. Great shower and good linen. Bed was low and a bit firm but we had no trouble sleeping. Downstairs the pub provides breakfast and you can get lunch & dinner there also. It’s a lovely local pub. The breakfast included was amazing! Freshly cooked to order. The staff we great and made us feel very welcome. It’s out of town but it suited us to be away from the madness of the old towns like St Ives! It’s close enough though to drive there or Penzance for dinner.

One of the best Inns we’ve stayed in, relating helpful staff going above and beyond. The room was spotless and wow the mattress was one of those you just adore. Certainly not firm but not too soft. The food was exceptional, our hats off to the chef & kitchen staff. Great food at very reasonable prices. We couldn’t recommend highly enough. Very special for our needs.

The exterior of the building isn’t impressive but it’s great inside! Our room was immaculate, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was excellent. The beer was good too. The staff were all exceptionally helpful and friendly. We would go back for sure!

Small but clean and quiet. Nicely decorated and good location. We were only about 10 min away from the st Michael’s Mount boats. Looked like a great menu at the restaurant and highly rated, but we didn’t have the opportunity to use it.

Room 1 very noisy with kitchen fan directly under room, Wi-Fi poor at best, Food very good in restaurant and good Breakfast, but Gluten free poorly catered for on toast which was served in same rack as normal toast touching the normal bread, moved to room 2 better but rooms tired. DO NOT LOOK UNDER BED it is filthy

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coach & Horses! The staff was excellent. Very friendly. Super helpful. The room was clean & quiet. We were able to stay on property and have a tasty dinner followed by a nice long walk starting on the foot path behind the property. In the morning they were very gracious about accomodating us for a very quick breakfast so we could get back on the road. Highly recommend!

We only stayed for one night but enjoyed the comfort and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only criticism i have is that the bed was very low to the floor and as an over sixty we found it to low for us to get up from but other than that we could no fault the hotel.

Comfortable room, though not large, with en-suite and a really comfortable bed. We were welcomed on arrival and helped upstairs with our luggage. We had key to come and go as we pleased and visited different places each day. Only one wet day, otherwise warm and sunny - good for October. Mostly came back to eat dinner at the Inn - food was delicious. Excellent breakfasts too. Staff did everything possible to make it a good holiday for us. Many thanks!

The property / room was not as described on line. Bedroom in need of updating / Mattress and pillows needs replacing. TV does not show live tv and poor reception for channels that were available. WiFi not available in room for iPad as booster was not available / being replaced and intermittent on mobile phone. Our room was above the kitchen and we suffered a lot of noise morning and evening from what sounded like an extractor fan / generator. Due to the problems incurred we left a day earlier than planned, forfeiting a nights charge. Apart from the accommodation, we received good service from the staff and would recommend the restaurant.

After a long day on the road, the Coach and Horses was a welcome sight. The welcome was warm and inviting. My room was unfortunately disappointing both in size and comfort. The bed was rock hard and the pillows had passed their date of usefulness about a decade ago. Attention to this detail is very important. The bar was quiet but it was nice to enjoy a quiet pint of Wherry (from East Anglia!) before dinner. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good. The fish (hake) and chips were excellent with thin crisp batter and served with homemade tartare sauce. Breakfast, unfortunately, was not very good and the service was slow which delayed my departure. Definitely aimed at tourists rather than anyone on business.

Lovely stay, laid back and friendly, room , breakfast both good, food in pub was also lovely so didn’t need to go out in the evenings, only small thing is the king size bed is actually 2 singles together with on sheet and duvet , so a ridge down the middle , bathroom was small but adequate

Small but clean and quiet. Nicely decorated and good location. We were only about 10 min away from the st Michael’s Mount boats. Looked like a great menu at the restaurant and highly rated, but we didn’t have the opportunity to use it.

La camera era piccola ma molto carina e pulita, facile da trovare perché sulla strada. Ampio parcheggio, personale abbastanza freddo poco incline al sorriso. Colazione discreta. Al nostro arrivo ci hanno comunicato che non era possibile cenare e per noi che eravamo in moto è stato un disagio arrivando stanchi da un lungo viaggio e ritrovarsi a cercare un posto per mangiare ( pochi ristoranti e chiudono prestissimo) oltre al fatto che avrei gradito saperlo prima anche tramite una email visto che avevo scelto la struttura appunto perché aveva un ristorante interno.

We had a lovely stay here whilst exploring Cornwall. The room is small and basic but charming in its own way - we’re in an old pub! The bathroom is also small but has what you need. Great shower and good linen. Bed was low and a bit firm but we had no trouble sleeping. Downstairs the pub provides breakfast and you can get lunch & dinner there also. It’s a lovely local pub. The breakfast included was amazing! Freshly cooked to order. The staff we great and made us feel very welcome. It’s out of town but it suited us to be away from the madness of the old towns like St Ives! It’s close enough though to drive there or Penzance for dinner.

From outside it looks like it needs a little love and attention. But on entering you find a welcoming friendly environment. Food was plentiful and tasty. Room and en suite bathroom was spacious. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Location is good for lots of Cornwall attractions.

Enjoyed our one night stay, accessed the coast path from a local beach and walked to St Michaels Mount. Pleasant meal in Inn restaurant in the evening. Comfortable room with ample breakfast. Friendly staff. Definitely value for money.

Absolutely fantastic staff, excellent food which is well priced. Nice quiet location with good transport links to surrounding places. A really nice place to stay. We would visit again if we were in the area.

One of the best Inns we’ve stayed in, relating helpful staff going above and beyond. The room was spotless and wow the mattress was one of those you just adore. Certainly not firm but not too soft. The food was exceptional, our hats off to the chef & kitchen staff. Great food at very reasonable prices. We couldn’t recommend highly enough. Very special for our needs.

We took a bad start as the property was without electricity when we arrived (a problem of the whole area) but after that was solved, everything in our stay was perfect; The host gives us friendly service of breakfast and the restaurant was FABULOUS, with nice wines and excellent food. I had lobster and enjoyed every bit of it. The garden is pleasant to sit in with a good beer, they have several good beers on tap. I would stay again.

This is a great pub and an excellent place to stay. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was bright, modern, with a huge, comfy bed and a small shower/toilet room. We had dinner, which was very good. The fact that the restaurant was packed on a Monday night says a lot. Breakfast was a good size and of good quality.

Room 1 very noisy with kitchen fan directly under room, Wi-Fi poor at best, Food very good in restaurant and good Breakfast, but Gluten free poorly catered for on toast which was served in same rack as normal toast touching the normal bread, moved to room 2 better but rooms tired. DO NOT LOOK UNDER BED it is filthy

Lovely room, warm comfy bed. Slight lack of clothes storage (some hanging space but no shelves/drawers). Expensive I know but some of the window frames need replacing. Friendly staff and great food - breakfast and dinner.

After a long day on the road, the Coach and Horses was a welcome sight. The welcome was warm and inviting. My room was unfortunately disappointing both in size and comfort. The bed was rock hard and the pillows had passed their date of usefulness about a decade ago. Attention to this detail is very important. The bar was quiet but it was nice to enjoy a quiet pint of Wherry (from East Anglia!) before dinner. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good. The fish (hake) and chips were excellent with thin crisp batter and served with homemade tartare sauce. Breakfast, unfortunately, was not very good and the service was slow which delayed my departure. Definitely aimed at tourists rather than anyone on business.

We had a lovely stay at the Coach & Horses. Location was great for us as we were doing a road trip around Cornwall. Breakfast cooked to order and they were able to offer vegan options. The bar area felt cosy and our room was comfortable. We also received some really helpful advice from the staff regarding our plans for the next day. Would definitely return in future!

Katie and all her staff are friendly, polite and funny, it was like walking into your friend's house and staying overnight with the added benefit of excellent food and good cider to top it all off, the welcome we received was warm and friendly from the moment we walked through the doors until the moment we sadly had to leave to continue our journey and Dawn on breakfast service was an absolute star and a font of all local knowledge. The rooms are comfortable, clean and ideal for resting after enjoying a few rattlers in the bar. There is nothing negative I can say about this amazing pub/hotel, we will most certainly be visiting again if we are ever back down in the area.

Check in is 5pm which is a little late. 2pm would be better. However, we arrived early, parked up and went off on the bus. Checked in at 5.45 with friendly, helpful staff. Room was nice, and clean as was the bathroom..We didnt eat apart from taking some chips up to our room and they were good .Breakfast was really good. Only puzzled was advertised there was a beach bar when the hotel is nowhere near a beach. There is a beer garden though
