The Temple Inn

Die Unterkunft an sich ist neu renoviert und war auch sauber. Das Frühstück war gut und es gab verschiedenes zur Auswahl. Ungünstig ist nur die Lage an einer viel befahrenen Landstraße. Da donnern schon sehr früh große LKW direkt vor der Unterkunft vorbei. Bei dem schlechten Straßenzustand ist das sehr laut.

Quite simply one of the best places we've stayed at. We chose this place for its location being within easy reach of a number of places we wanted to visit in Somerset - Cheddar Gorge, Shepton Mallet prison, and of course Bristol itself. The rooms are clean and modern, very comfortable and quiet. Plenty of attached parking, and the pub itself is cosy and welcoming. We had dinner there for one of the 3 nights we stayed, the food was excellent - I really enjoyed the Mexican-style burger, all the usual pub favourites are of course available. The breakfast was sumptuous, unlike other places where its normally a set option, we were given the choice from a separate breakfast menu - I enjoyed the 'full Temple', my partner enjoyed a spinach & cheese omelette. And most of all, the owners Adam & Lee were really friendly and wanted to ensure we were looked after, as were the bar staff and the lady serving breakfast in the morning. When we visit Somerset again we will definitely stay again - thanks very much!
