Cape Vue Country House was a beautiful place to stay in Franschhoek, with incredible mountain and vineyard views. Set on a wine farm but only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the town centre, the location was perfect. The property is beautifully decorated, welcoming and peaceful, with a lovely honesty bar. Breakfast was a real highlight, with a fantastic choice of freshly cooked dishes including eggs Benedict, Turkish eggs and banana bread French toast. Everything was delicious! Dino and Fezikile were incredibly friendly and attentive. It was clear they genuinely wanted us to have a wonderful stay, and their hospitality made us feel so welcome. Our only criticism was the lighting in our room. Although it felt cosy, it was quite dark in the evenings, making it difficult to get ready for dinner. The design seemed to prioritise atmosphere over practicality, and better lighting around the mirrors and dressing areas would have made a real difference. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend Cape Vue. The beautiful setting, excellent location, outstanding breakfasts and genuinely warm hospitality made it a lovely base for our honeymoon.

Dino is a wonderful host. The common area is beautiful, warm, and welcoming. There were fires burning in the evening and morning to allow us to warm up from chilly weather. We stayed in room 1 and it was gorgeous. Breakfast was really excellent with lots of options. One unexpectedly important feature was the close proximity to town allowing us to walk in both directions. The grounds were so beautiful. The view on our porch of the sun rising was spectacular.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at this beautiful country inn set in a pretty vineyard. The rooms are beautiful along with common spaces. Lovely fireplace and breakfast room. Everything was delicious and freshly made. The omelet is incredible. Very easy by Uber from Capetown airport or downtown/pier areas. The Inn is a few minutes walk from the cute and elegant town. Treat yourself to this beautiful inn and country town. Dino and staff are great.

Wonderful hotel in a great location just outside Franschhoek but still with an easy and short walk in to the city center. Very charming hotel and rooms with a French boutique feel. There is a lovely garden with a courtyard for eg breakfasts and a very nice swimming pool overlooking the vineyards. Highly recommended, would love to come back.
