It’s very close to a shopping area that you can walk to and it has a couple of nice restaurants close by. Doesn’t have an elevator so if you don’t want to climb stairs ask for a 1st floor room. Staff is helpful and will book any activities for you.

The hotel was beautiful, the staff friendly and it's right at the start of the fun Thamel area. I enjoyed the breakfast and the lobby and restaurant areas are relaxing and very nice. There is no elevator so climbing stairs are required. Solid WIFI. I loved the location, it's down a quiet street but very walkable and close to lots of shops and restaurants. The touts do hang out a the end of the street and tend to pounce on you as you come out of the street, but that's Nepal. I would stay there again.

This really is a safe lovely quiet oasis in the middle of bustling Kathmandu. The staff is so very very nice, the manager is attentive and helpful, the restaurant is excellent both inside and outside in the covered garden where you have privacy but still the feel of being in the city. Will always stay here. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the air conditioning was perfect ..it all just added up to a lovely place of comfort and respite surrounded by genuinely nice and friendly faces …after touring and shopping and walking ..such a perfect place to come home to!

Hotel and restaurant staffs are all very kind, especially for kids. They have a nice coffee bar but couldn’t try their coffee because their barista was always out for break during tea time! We hope to try next time.

The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. The driver was right on time to pick us up from the airport. The manager arranged a tour guide for us within 30 minutes of check in. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic.

Staff was amazing. Cleanliness was excellent. All the good restaurants was in a walking distance. All the staff was always happy to serve you. I would definitely comeback to stay here and would recommend family and friends. Thanks

The rooms were ok, but the toilet was not working properly. It wasn't flushing. Even after repeated complaints, we couldn't get the toilet fixed. During our entire stay we had to use a bucket to flush the toilet.

The hotel is OK for two or three days. The breakfast is actually more for Indian guests. It was cleaned daily, but there was always a strange smell in the room. You could never air it properly because the windows were not designed to open. The rooms were quite small.

We had a charming stay in this little gem. The beds were super comfortable with quality bedding and towels. Super clean. Staff was extremely accommodating and kind. The garden space for breakfast was lovely. The location was super walkable and but just off Thamel and a bit quieter. Hot water was better here than the posh resort.

This place was truly an oasis in the middle of a busy area of Kathmandu. It was clear that the manager and his staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and fed. Everything in the room worked (shower, plugs, ac, supplies, etc) which is not always true for some spots in the city. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Ps. The place has no elevator so yiu nay have to go up and down the stairs which wasn't a problem for me.

First of all the staff are beyond exceptional. Super friendly and so caring towards all guests. Hotel is lovely and room is spacious with a big bed! So convenient to all the shops and restaurants in Thamel. Near the hotel are lots of genuine brand outdoor shops if you need the real deal and there is a small supermarket very close to the hotel. Bathroom has a small hairdryer and toiletries such as shampoo and shower gel in mini bottles and there’s a kettle in the room along with tea bags and coffee sachets. Only negative for me was the noise all night. The base and vibration from the local night club was really bad and some hotel guests / nearby residents didn’t know the meaning of being quiet. Not the hotels fault though. Still got a good sleep despite mainly due to the jet lag. May have just been unlucky with the noise due to it being a Saturday night.

I stayed here for three nights. There was plenty of hot water when I needed it, so I was able to shower comfortably. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Considering the comfort of the facilities, easy access, and price, I think this is the best choice.

Excellent hotel very clean. I was very impressed at the attentiveness and courtesy of the staff. They went way beyond good service - to provide excellent service. We will definitely stay here again.

Staff so helpful and friendly....we stayed for over a week due to things beyond our control and Mr Tulsi and all his staff really looked after us. The hotel is tucked away up a deadend but within easy reach of al tha Thamel has yo offer!

Through much of my stay in Kathmandu, I stayed at the Oasis. I’ve reviewed it several times, and I can’t say enough good about this property, for it was the perfect base of operations for my Nepal Adventures. The manager Tulsi was great and even Organized my Lukla/ECB Trek through the hotel’s sister company Third Rock Adventures. Perfect location, great staff, and awesome tour company, you just can’t go wrong with this one.

The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. The driver was right on time to pick us up from the airport. The manager arranged a tour guide for us within 30 minutes of check in. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic.

Would have been Excellent. I only received confirmation of airport pickup only the day before arrival - despite my messaging Oasis multiple times from 10 days before arrival date.

Staff made our stay extra enjoyable! Friendly, helpful, professional and kind. The breakfast had a great selection and our rooms were neat and clean. Excellent location while still being reasonably quiet. So glad we had several nights.

The hotel was beautiful, the staff friendly and it's right at the start of the fun Thamel area. I enjoyed the breakfast and the lobby and restaurant areas are relaxing and very nice. There is no elevator so climbing stairs are required. Solid WIFI. I loved the location, it's down a quiet street but very walkable and close to lots of shops and restaurants. The touts do hang out a the end of the street and tend to pounce on you as you come out of the street, but that's Nepal. I would stay there again.

This really is a safe lovely quiet oasis in the middle of bustling Kathmandu. The staff is so very very nice, the manager is attentive and helpful, the restaurant is excellent both inside and outside in the covered garden where you have privacy but still the feel of being in the city. Will always stay here. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the air conditioning was perfect ..it all just added up to a lovely place of comfort and respite surrounded by genuinely nice and friendly faces …after touring and shopping and walking ..such a perfect place to come home to!

First of all the staff are beyond exceptional. Super friendly and so caring towards all guests. Hotel is lovely and room is spacious with a big bed! So convenient to all the shops and restaurants in Thamel. Near the hotel are lots of genuine brand outdoor shops if you need the real deal and there is a small supermarket very close to the hotel. Bathroom has a small hairdryer and toiletries such as shampoo and shower gel in mini bottles and there’s a kettle in the room along with tea bags and coffee sachets. Only negative for me was the noise all night. The base and vibration from the local night club was really bad and some hotel guests / nearby residents didn’t know the meaning of being quiet. Not the hotels fault though. Still got a good sleep despite mainly due to the jet lag. May have just been unlucky with the noise due to it being a Saturday night.

Wonderful staff, location and manager. Hotel is in heart of Thamel and we enjoyed warm hospitality, clean rooms, and fair price for the location. Exactly what we're looking for.

A very nice hotel in a very convenient area of Kathmandu. Extremely nice and helpful staff and manager. Good breakfast and restaurant at better than average prices. Only issue is that hot water is a bit of a wait. Would happily stay again.

The hotel is OK for two or three days. The breakfast is actually more for Indian guests. It was cleaned daily, but there was always a strange smell in the room. You could never air it properly because the windows were not designed to open. The rooms were quite small.

The location of this hotel is optimal for those interested in exploring what the city has to offer. Every member of the staff was so kind, helpful, and accommodating over the course of my stay. My room was the perfect size and the bed perfectly firm. Should I return to Kathmandu I would plan to stay again.

Our stay was wonderful. Mr Tulsi, the Manager and the rest of the staff are kind, respectful, accommodating and hospitable with their guests. The hotel is clean. tidy, orderly and fresh. Breakfast is included. Food at the restaurant is delicious. If we ever go back to Kahmandu, we will stay at this hotel again. By the way, the hotel location is a stroll away from the market which is so much fun to browse and buy souvenirs. Thank you Mr. Tulsi and to your staff. Namaste

The staff at Oasis Kathmandu were outstanding. They were friendly, exceptionally polite, and gracious. The air conditioning was cold, the food was delicious and the room was surprisingly quiet (if that seems an odd comment now, it won't after 30 seconds in Kathmandu.) As to the cleanliness of the room, my son and I found it spotless. To be fair tho, we had just spent the prior two weeks bouncing between Tibetan guest houses and monasteries (and restrooms). If I ever go back to Kathmandu, this is one decision I won't have to worry about. I would definitely stay at Oasis Kathmandu again.
