Americas Best Value Inn Vandalia

The manager kept reiterating not to smoke in the room. However, the white quest whom checked in before me. Was never told once, not to smoke in the room. Of course I’m a person of color…..

The bed was fine and comfortable. Room was mostly clean. However I opened the floor mat and it was dirty. Whatever, then the shower was broken. Like I could have taken a bath, but yeah, not in a hotel. So I grabbed a wash rag for a sponge bath and it had hair on it. I told the front desk and he seemed unconcerned Breakfast was waffle and toast.

Paul was an extraordinary host! Rooms were spacious, clean, affordable, and very cozy. The hotel & there staff were amazing for our stay! Would highly recommend this hotel for tourist, Paul was very accommodating. Truly an angel.
