We needed a great room near Oakland University and with EV charging, and this property was excellent. The front desk agent was incredible accommodating, the lobby was spacious, clean and inviting, and the room was large, spotless, and comfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee in the lobby but did not need the kitchen resources in the room. Would certainly stay here again.

Everything worked out great for us. We were there for over a week to see family and friends. Having the pool (It was cold) and the grilling social area, made it nice to have some of them over. Also the inside area with tables a TV was a bonus

All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. Check-in was a breeze and their light efficiency and energy efficiency is so advanced! The entire place smelled like fall, apple orchard vibe. Our room was amazing! I highly recommend it!! Snacks available for purchase section has a lot of options and their complimentary coffee was delicious!! The whole experience was very pleasing and you should book a stay!

The stay was nice but upon checking in I was charged a $50.00 gratuity fee that I was not told about plus the coffee maker in the lobby was out of order I think for a total of $212 dollars I should at least get coffee.

The doors are very loud when it closes. Early morning checkout from other guest closing the door makes loud sounds, so you are awakened when each guest leaves. Rooms are clean, spacious, bed and pillows are comfortable. Bathroom is clean and good as well. There are enough cabinets and storage place for extended stay. Small kitchen with stow, refrigerator and microwave is available to cook your own food. Pet friendly and they have reasonable pet fee for more than 1 pet. Room rent is expensive. It will run close $1200 a week. If you do not mind about the cost then it is a good place for extended stay.

Very clean, comfortable and reasonable for being a suite. I was disappointed that the fee was so high for pets. $75 I wish that it was a deposit and refundable if no issues are found. For conscientious pet owners that high of fee is just a money maker for the facility.

Glad I stayed at Candlewood suites. It exceeded my expectations. The room was comfortable and spacious. The staff was friendly and it was close to everything. My only complaint was the smell of garbage in one of the elevators. It smelled for the whole two days that I stayed. Other than that, it was great.

Candlewood was a very clean, aesthetically pleasing hotel. The staff was friendly, and check in and out was a very quick and easy process. I was very surprised and happy to see our king sized room featured a mini kitchen, including a refrigerator, dishwasher and mini stove top. What I liked most about staying here was that I was unable to tell that anyone had stayed in the room before us. It was spotless. And for a hotel, it was quiet, which made for a relaxing stay. Highly recommend this property.

Hotel is brand new, staff very friendly. Overall the hotel is beautiful- They just need to iron out some kinks. The giant “Candlewood Suites” sign on the building wasn’t lit, so it was difficult to find it in the dark. Thank God for GPS - we knew it had to be there somewhere! The TV in the room wasn’t hooked up - not even plugged in. We got it plugged in, but couldn’t get it set up - said there were no live channels. It was too late to call down for maintenance. The thermostat also wasn’t on, but we did finally figure out how to set it up. With all that wasn’t set up in the room, you would think maybe we were the first to use it. Oddly though, there were a few hairs in the shower - ewww.

Stayed after a concert at Pine Knob. Convenient to the highway. The property was very well-maintained very clean exercise room was modern, kitchenette for light nails. Our view overlooked the dump, but if you squint your eyes and pretended it was almost like you were looking at a mountain lol. The desk staff was very friendly and took time to explain to everything we need to know about the hotel Amenities. We will definitely stay again when we are back in that area.

Terrible experience nothing like advertises. Cable and internet were out and if two people had not called the front desk while we were checking in they would not have let us know. Also we arrived an hour early to check in and no room was available. That was fine we asked for a place to eat their only recommendation was Taco Bell in the parking lot. Asked for Applebees or something on that line they did not know of anywhere. Someone checking in told us where to go and it was only 3 miles away. When we returned an hour and a half later had to wait 15 minutes for a room to be ready. 45 minutes after our check in time. They did not give any discount for no cable and internet would never consider this chain again

A friend and I stayed at Candlewood because it was close to the concert venue we attended. I arrived well before check in time, but thought I'd go in just to make sure our room was reserved. The young man at the desk was absolutely the best! He was friendly, easy to understand, and confident in what he was doing. He was able to get me into our room early. YAY!!!! He asked what the purpose of our visit was, and I explained that my best friend from childhood was coming from Missouri to attend a concert with me. The gentleman at the desk then promptly handed me a couple of business cards of a couple local people who offer Uber transportation. Our room was wonderful, the service was wonderful and our stay was wonderful! Anyone looking for a great room at a reasonable price should definitely stay here.

I arrived around 530pm. Room wasn't ready. Personnel at the front desk were friendly. Television programming did not work. Medically i use white noise to sleep so not having Television capability made me toss and turn all night.

We always enjoy our stay here! Mark is awesome and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure we’re comfortable. It’s quiet, very clean and comfortable, and fairly close to the downtown Lake Orion area as well as Great Lakes Crossing mall area. 10/10 would recommend!

I was not impressed that the evening manager didn't bother to look up when I stood at the desk and greet me the way every hotel I've ever been to greets customers. He just said, "Name!" To which I responded, "Good evening, how are you?.." It is a small thing, but basic courtesy should be rule number one in the hospitality industry.

Theres a landfill across the street and it stinks! Check-in was awful. Had to drive 45 there just to check in for my 19 year old daughter who was visiting the great lakes crossings outlet then drive home 45 min in a tornado watch storm. The whole experience pissed me off

Beautiful, quiet like new hotel with a full kitchen, comfy beds, and friendly staff. Close to a few places to eat and convenient to the highway without the noise. I would stay here again if I were in the area.

Stayed after a concert at Pine Knob. Convenient to the highway. The property was very well-maintained very clean exercise room was modern, kitchenette for light nails. Our view overlooked the dump, but if you squint your eyes and pretended it was almost like you were looking at a mountain lol. The desk staff was very friendly and took time to explain to everything we need to know about the hotel Amenities. We will definitely stay again when we are back in that area.

We went for ours sons bday celebration and this was an excellent choice! Very conveniently located near both Great Lakes Crossing and many stores, including Meijer, Sams and Target. This made our drives very quick and easy. The staff was amazing (Mark was incredibly pleasant to visit with while checking in and very helpful). The room was clean with the exception of a old grape we found when moving a chair. Other than that, everything worked, it was clean and pleasant. The pool was small but perfect for my son. Definitely will be staying here again next time we decide to take a trip.

We needed a great room near Oakland University and with EV charging, and this property was excellent. The front desk agent was incredible accommodating, the lobby was spacious, clean and inviting, and the room was large, spotless, and comfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee in the lobby but did not need the kitchen resources in the room. Would certainly stay here again.

The property was very clean. They don't have a Continental Breakfast but with a full kitchen you don't need one. Staff was very pleasant and that makes a huge difference in my humble opinion!

All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. Check-in was a breeze and their light efficiency and energy efficiency is so advanced! The entire place smelled like fall, apple orchard vibe. Our room was amazing! I highly recommend it!! Snacks available for purchase section has a lot of options and their complimentary coffee was delicious!! The whole experience was very pleasing and you should book a stay!

The stay was nice but upon checking in I was charged a $50.00 gratuity fee that I was not told about plus the coffee maker in the lobby was out of order I think for a total of $212 dollars I should at least get coffee.

Great room and very clean. Cons were the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Heads up since there is a kitchen, there is no breakfast offered.

Hope was at the desk when we checked in she is so amazing and friendly. Very approachable and sincere. Loved how literally everything was Within 10 min great lakes crossing outlets etc. along with some restaurant choices right out the doors of the hotel. Our room had a fridge, stove top, cups, plates the whole 9 yards if you would be considering to stay longer or just preferred to make things your way. My kids are between 6 and 11yrs of age and loved that we could go to meijer to get some snacks for our time there. They do have many options there as well hince why the road trip other wise they would have wiped it out clean lol. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are free. Over all very nice setup. All new and clean. My kids are picky eaters so not necessarily having the free breakfast wasn't in issue for us although food items where available to choose from. We have always gone out to eat anyways so they could choose whatever it is they would have enjoyed. So for us it was a win win!! Enjoy your stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were very happy with our suite. It was clean and perfect for the 2 of us. The shower was awesome. Breakfast is not included. There is a McDonald's nearby.

I had a 4 night stay to attend a wedding. The shuttle driver was amazing, very accommodating and courteous. I had a fascinating chat about his life during the drive back to the hotel from the venue. The check-out was easy and fast, done through the TV. Just a few feedback comments - surprised that there was no fan in the washroom so it got quite steamy after a shower. The kitchen is well equipped however I did not receive room service, which was okay for energy savings, however room ran out of toilet paper and tissue and there was no coffee replacement. I did get a box of tissue and a roll of toilet paper from housekeeping while she was on the floor so no problem. The tea was lacking (only 2 single black tea teabags & 1 pack of reg coffee and 1 pack of decaf for entire 4 night stay although there was a coffee machine. I was fine with that since I purchased coffee of my choice at Target and I always travel with my own green tea teabags. There are shops close by (Meijers & Target) so I picked up a small carton of cream for my morning coffee. The frig and stove for the kettle was a nice feature.
