What a haven from the hustle and bustle of downtown Helen. The grounds were well kept, the pool was beautiful and the staff were amazing. We travel a lot but this is one place where we will definitely return.

This was an amazing property to stay at. Felt so well taken care of the whole time. The staff was great. The skybar was the best. Drink's, food and views can’t beat it. Highly recommend staying here for an adult only vacation.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very friendly and polite. I really enjoyed my stay. Judy at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. Daniel was also really helpful with parking. Our room was beautiful and it was a romantic getaway. The food was so good, particularly the Norse Chicken. So much so that I ordered it three times during my stay! Our waitress Elice was pleasant during dinner. We also ordered room service which came in time every time and hot ! Great menu and quality food. Views from sky bar were incredible and the pool was a fun place to spend the afternoon. Not a far distance from the tourist attraction spots in town. This was a perfect way to celebrate our engagement! Thank you to everyone at Valhalla for making this weekend one to remember!

Very pleased from the moment we arrived with a glass of champagne being offered while we waited just a few minutes to check in. Valet parking was wonderful! The room was spacious, clean and very beautiful and comfortable, and the added benefit of cookies and mints on our pillow was wonderful! The food was AMAZING! Be sure to try the french toast! We will recommend to all our friends when visiting Helen, Georgia.

Wow, tucked away in Helen, Ga is this luxurious, quiet, full service hotel resort. The room was laid out very nicely with a sitting area, fireplace and tv. Really nice size bathrm for a hotel, with even a door for a private toilet. We had one of the pet friendly rooms, our chihauhau loved the treats they had for her. The food was excellent, the pool very nice, we played pickle ball, we did not check out the golf course. The staff was always very pleasant and accommodating, A definite return.

Cannot speak highly enough about the staff, particularly Jan, and all the others that helped make our long weekend stay in Helen magical! The grounds were clean and well-kept. We loved having dinner at the restaurant overlooking the mountains, with our nightcap at the rooftop bar. Golf was a challenge but an absolutely gorgeous course! This property is very conveniently located to Helen and many hiking trails, vineyards, and great food!

I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Valhalla. It was such a surprise because I was not expecting it to be so nice. It was so much so we stayed an extra day. I used the spa and used the small but adequate gym. There is really no need to go to Helen which was touristy. The staff was stellar sooo helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

My wife and I booked a room at Valhalla Resort for three nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived shortly after check-in time, 4:15 p.m. We were immediately greeted by a gentleman who helped us with our luggage. When we walked inside to register, I was taken by the beautiful interior of the lobby area and the restaurant which is visible when you enter. We were offered a complimentary glass of champagne then we went to our room on the 2nd floor which was also was beautifully decorated. There was a sitting area with fireplace, a king-size bed and very large bathroom with a double vanity and large walk-in shower equipped with a rainfall shower head and many additional amenities! Since we arrived late in the day, dinner was on our minds. Not wanting to get back in the car, we went upstairs to the Sky Bar—an intimate room with a contemporary decor. We ate outside on the terrace and enjoyed the mountain view. We both ordered the fried chicken sandwich with pimento cheese, fries and soft drinks. The food was delicious! And the service was spot on. After dinner we took a stroll around the gorgeous grounds near the golf course and saw some wildlife. The pool area also offers a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy a peaceful experience. Throughout our stay the staff was friendly, personable and eager to assist with any needs we had. Additionally, we enjoyed breakfast in the Caledonia Restaurant and everything was cooked and served with perfection.

Noisy! Noisy Room! Sounded like elephants tramping above all night! Reported to no avail! Room smelled of dirty carpet, and everything had a bit of a stale look other than new wall paint. Paid well over $500.00! Golf club house had gutters falling off, and generally grubby looking. This place was terrific when we stayed there in 2017, but like a Super 8 now. One good point. Customer service was very nice.

The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. The views were gorgeous and the bed was so comfortable. If we were to come back to Helen we would stay here again. It’s by far the nicest hotel in the area.

Please do not waste your hard earned money here! Website outdated and not accurate! Not anywhere close to a 4 star resort in my opinion. Noisy! Noisy Room! Sounded like elephants tramping above all night! Reported to no avail! Room smelled of dirty carpet, and everything had a bit of a stale look other than new wall paint. Paid well over $500.00! Golf club house had gutters falling off, and generally grubby looking. This place was terrific when we stayed there in 2017, but like a Super 8 now. One good point. Customer service was very nice.

My wife and I booked a room at Valhalla Resort for three nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived shortly after check-in time, 4:15 p.m. We were immediately greeted by a gentleman who helped us with our luggage. When we walked inside to register, I was taken by the beautiful interior of the lobby area and the restaurant which is visible when you enter. We were offered a complimentary glass of champagne then we went to our room on the 2nd floor which was also was beautifully decorated. There was a sitting area with fireplace, a king-size bed and very large bathroom with a double vanity and large walk-in shower equipped with a rainfall shower head and many additional amenities! Since we arrived late in the day, dinner was on our minds. Not wanting to get back in the car, we went upstairs to the Sky Bar—an intimate room with a contemporary decor. We ate outside on the terrace and enjoyed the mountain view. We both ordered the fried chicken sandwich with pimento cheese, fries and soft drinks. The food was delicious! And the service was spot on. After dinner we took a stroll around the gorgeous grounds near the golf course and saw some wildlife. The pool area also offers a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy a peaceful experience. Throughout our stay the staff was friendly, personable and eager to assist with any needs we had. Additionally, we enjoyed breakfast in the Caledonia Restaurant and everything was cooked and served with perfection.

Our first room, was on the first floor off the lobby. Super noisy and the Fire Place didn/t work. We finally moved rooms to the 2nd floor at an additional cost and the Wifi didn't work. No compensation either. Very, very disappointing.

The hotel was beautiful. However, I was called in advance, and explained we were on our honeymoon. I was told I could purchase a celebration package, and I did. I had paid for a deluxe king suite. They asked if I needed an accessible room, I told them I didn’t. When we arrived, we had been booked in an ADA room. The reception then changed it, stating to my new wife that she was “upgrading us, complimentary “. The room we were given was exactly what I paid for. Then she proceeded to state that there was champagne and cake and a gift in our room, and breakfast would be delivered, all “complimentary “. These were all things I paid for!! Don’t take credit for things I paid for, and don’t tell my wife you’re upgrading us then give us exactly what I paid for. They charged me twice for the room. Said they were going to make the correct adjustments (even sent a new invoice), but canceled the refund. The hotel is lovely and the staff were amazing, but it is not worth paying twice and lied to.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very friendly and polite. I really enjoyed my stay. Judy at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. Daniel was also really helpful with parking. Our room was beautiful and it was a romantic getaway. The food was so good, particularly the Norse Chicken. So much so that I ordered it three times during my stay! Our waitress Elice was pleasant during dinner. We also ordered room service which came in time every time and hot ! Great menu and quality food. Views from sky bar were incredible and the pool was a fun place to spend the afternoon. Not a far distance from the tourist attraction spots in town. This was a perfect way to celebrate our engagement! Thank you to everyone at Valhalla for making this weekend one to remember!

Very pleased from the moment we arrived with a glass of champagne being offered while we waited just a few minutes to check in. Valet parking was wonderful! The room was spacious, clean and very beautiful and comfortable, and the added benefit of cookies and mints on our pillow was wonderful! The food was AMAZING! Be sure to try the french toast! We will recommend to all our friends when visiting Helen, Georgia.

Cannot speak highly enough about the staff, particularly Jan, and all the others that helped make our long weekend stay in Helen magical! The grounds were clean and well-kept. We loved having dinner at the restaurant overlooking the mountains, with our nightcap at the rooftop bar. Golf was a challenge but an absolutely gorgeous course! This property is very conveniently located to Helen and many hiking trails, vineyards, and great food!

This property exceeded expectations! While it was a little closer to the main strip in Helen than I realized, it felt very secluded and quiet. We had a great meal in the restaurant and excellent spa treatments. The room was spacious and well-appointed. We enjoyed the fireplace. Mini bar was well stocked and very affordable. We will definitely come back!

Great location, clean & updated rooms. Best pork chop my partner has ever had at the restaurant. Sky Bar has a nice open air feel with a view of the mountains surrounding the property. Having a car is nearly a must if you will be in town late as there are very few drive shares in the area. The walk from town to the hotel is mostly uphill and we almost had to resort to that one night. It took 20 mins to get a driver to accept our ride.

Wow, tucked away in Helen, Ga is this luxurious, quiet, full service hotel resort. The room was laid out very nicely with a sitting area, fireplace and tv. Really nice size bathrm for a hotel, with even a door for a private toilet. We had one of the pet friendly rooms, our chihauhau loved the treats they had for her. The food was excellent, the pool very nice, we played pickle ball, we did not check out the golf course. The staff was always very pleasant and accommodating, A definite return.

I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Valhalla. It was such a surprise because I was not expecting it to be so nice. It was so much so we stayed an extra day. I used the spa and used the small but adequate gym. There is really no need to go to Helen which was touristy. The staff was stellar sooo helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Our stay was lovely. The staff was extremely courteous and warm. The room was clean, spacious, and set the tone for a nice quiet getaway from the daily hustle and bustle of everyday life. Bed good; pillow lumpy; room clean; valet, reception, bartender & waitstaff were very good; restaurant was a nightmare... we never ate as every table sat with no food for over an hour ... despite trying to celebrate our Anniversary we decided to pay for our wine and we went back to our room and ate some trail mix I had packed. Waitess was very apologetic but offered no explanation. Though we know the owner was having a gathering with food in the Sky Bar so perhaps they were the priority and the restaurant clientele was not. We will never return nor recommend this resort.

The room was spacious, clean and very beautiful and comfortable, and the added benefit of cookies and mints on our pillow was wonderful! The food was AMAZING! Be sure to try the french toast! We will recommend to all our friends when visiting Helen, Georgia.

Hotel is very nice, good place to relax. Clean and elegant. Food at the restaurant can be better some of the items on the menu not available and service a tad slow 3 stars on the food service.

From arrival to check out, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We loved that it was a resort, but still felt so quaint and charming. We were truly able to relax. Also, the food was AMAZING! You truly don’t need to even leave the resort.

My wife and I booked a room at Valhalla Resort for three nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived shortly after check-in time, 4:15 p.m. We were immediately greeted by a gentleman who helped us with our luggage. When we walked inside to register, I was taken by the beautiful interior of the lobby area and the restaurant which is visible when you enter. We were offered a complimentary glass of champagne then we went to our room on the 2nd floor which was also was beautifully decorated. There was a sitting area with fireplace, a king-size bed and very large bathroom with a double vanity and large walk-in shower equipped with a rainfall shower head and many additional amenities! Since we arrived late in the day, dinner was on our minds. Not wanting to get back in the car, we went upstairs to the Sky Bar—an intimate room with a contemporary decor. We ate outside on the terrace and enjoyed the mountain view. We both ordered the fried chicken sandwich with pimento cheese, fries and soft drinks. The food was delicious! And the service was spot on. After dinner we took a stroll around the gorgeous grounds near the golf course and saw some wildlife. The pool area also offers a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy a peaceful experience. Throughout our stay the staff was friendly, personable and eager to assist with any needs we had. Additionally, we enjoyed breakfast in the Caledonia Restaurant and everything was cooked and served with perfection.

This was an anniversary stay, a quick getaway, and aside from the reviews, I didn't have anything to work off of. I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations, overall environment, and the surrounding activities. If we were golfers, we probably would have been able to enjoy the facilities even further....but that was not a negative. It was very peaceful, and my spouse and I took full advantage of the multiple spa services, which were fantastic. I have read some reviews about the prices, but we found the cost of meals to be comparable to other dining options. The food quality was also good, and the service and staff matched. Also, considering what you would save by staying in Helen, I think you would rather pay a little more and have the resort accommodation. I have little to complain about, and any "issues" I would have would be more like "nitpicks." I think the resort fees are unnecessary and just a way to charge extra to the guest. Also, the facility is well maintained and clean, but I felt certain areas could benefit from a little upgrade. If you stay a few days, you will notice the little things, but they are not enough to take away from the trip. However, if you charge resort fees, one would think it would go to taking the resort to the next level. Overall, our trip to the resort was a thoroughly enjoyable experience that we would gladly repeat!

To call it a resort is a stretch. Beginning with the room safe which was completely nonfunctioning... 3 trips from maintenance and still did not work. Not a single ice or vending machine. Last day we were waiting for the elevators to break down and sure enough they did. The staff is very friendly and the pool is off the chart beautiful and relaxing. It was my birthday and we had a great time in spite of it all . Can't say enough about the staff but the air conditioners blew in our room and sounded like freight trains. Could use some updating. All around.

Room was clean and had a nice large bathroom/shower and toilet had it's own area so that was well thought out. Lots of treatments for your needs at the spa.had a good selection of wine, we also enjoyed the room service. The gentleman who checked us in Sunday afternoon was great thank you again. Just wish the pool bar would have had a bartender, but I guess its on the weekend. We enjoyed how quiet it was , we had a good time thanks.

Our stay at Valhalla was extremely underwhelming given the price point. The pool was not well kept including the pool furniture which was so dirty I did not even want to sit on it. 2 days in a row we tried to go to the driving range however, not balls we’re available to hit. One of the staff members told us we could go pick up our own balls if we wanted to use the range. Not exactly the customer service we were expecting considering the price tag.
