Dodge Cottage was very convenient to town. We could walk to shops and restaurants in minutes. Our room was comfortable and cozy and we even had parking right outside our door. The breakfast buffet at the 1661 house was expansive and delicious, and the service was excellent. We really appreciated how warm and friendly everyone was and it was so nice that there was actually a bell hop who drove us and our luggage to the cottage and even carried everything inside. We would definitely stay there again.

Cute room and short walk to town. Only thing is my sitting area had a urine smell that wasn’t desirable. I opened the windows and found out quickly they don’t shut completely so that was a little scary since I was traveling alone

One of the windows was unable to be closed and locked. Although this was in a very, very low crime area, we would have liked to secure the room when we left. The bathroom was small without adequate space to put "things". Generally, the room was comfortable and pleasant.

We stayed in the Dodge Cottage, Katherine X suite and it was lovely! Very nicely furnished with kitchenette. Very quiet, too. Bathroom amenities were nice, but bathroom could use a little updating. Linens were nice, beds were quite firm. Staff was SO friendly and we loved spending time at the main 1661 Resort building. Thebreakfast was outstanding also!

I really enjoyed staying here! The room was kinda dated but I like that type of aesthetic. Perfect walking distance from everywhere and the front clerk was very nice!

Nice, clean room. Service was great and drove us down to the Cottage. Only a block away from the Main St so location was great. Good room for the price! If being nit picky, the shower head and shower curtain bar were old and could be replaced with modern fixtures. Curtain, tub were clean and had plenty of hot water. Be prepared if walking and not bringing a car with you. The 0.4 miles to the 1661 Inn for checking in, was up hill and not a easy walk. Plus, have to bring keys back too the Inn for check out.

It met our minimum needs. There was not a chair, desk, microwave or mirror in the room. You cannot see the TV if you are lying on the bed. If you're staying for more than a night or two, get a real hotel room.

I love Block Island, have been visiting for years. Dodge Cottage is ideally located, easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go. Our room was pleasant and comfortable. No complaints about anything.

We had such a lovely stay here. They had upgraded rooms available, and upgraded us without even asking. Wilber helped us out in many ways, sharing great information about dining options and things to do. He was extra accommodating which made our stay fantastic. I would definitely stay here again, especially during the off season! It was a nice, quiet getaway.

The only issue ( and was quite a BIG ) one. We had to walk to another hotel quite a distance UPHILL to check in! Management did this for their convenience??!! Not only was this was VERY inconvenient, BUT EXHAUSTING in the summer heat, lugging our luggage Although I like the cottage we stayed at, because of this I may NEVER book with Expedia again!

The only issue ( and was quite a BIG ) one. We had to walk to another hotel quite a distance UPHILL to check in! Management did this for their convenience??!! Not only was this was VERY inconvenient, BUT EXHAUSTING in the summer heat, lugging our luggage Although I like the cottage we stayed at, because of this I may NEVER book with Expedia again!

The breakfast buffet at the 1661 house was expansive and delicious, and the service was excellent. We really appreciated how warm and friendly everyone was and it was so nice that there was actually a bell hop who drove us and our luggage to the cottage and even carried everything inside. We would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous destination with outstanding service. Friendly associates are welcoming and attentive. Breakfast is an experience not to be missed. Fresh from their farm you will surprised with a taste you may have not tried. Will be back again soon!

Close to town, stores and restaurants in addition to being walkable from the ferry! You are also entitled to a $15 delicious breakfast buffet w/unlimited mimosas located around the corner at a sister hotel!! Staff was excellent!

Dodge Cottage is pretty bare bones, but offers a clean and very convenient place to stay. Lots of parking. The room was very clean, but there were some maintenance issues, like crumbling drywall in the shower. The room had its own mini-split AC, which was nice and cold. It could have been clearer that we had to check in at their sister location, The 1661, which was a hike uphill. Had we not bumped in to housekeeping at the cottage, we would have never known. But for price and location, it was comfortable and best location.

As part of the 1661 House, your stay at Dodge treats you as a guest of 1661. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Breakfast service was great (it's a buffet but all the waitresses were ready to help). Our room was clean, quiet and very convenient.

The Kathryn Sullivan room was nice and spacious. The bathroom needs some work with the tub being SUPER slippery and the shower control rather iffy... The rest of the room was great with a very nice full kitchen. Very nice AC and heat systems. No real view outside but quiet green spot on the island.
