Authentic vintage roadside, pet friendly, motel experience. The rooms are very much as they were when built originally (my guess is 50's). Nothing fancy but everything a practical person needs. My room was clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. They did great giving us an early check-in. Additionally, there is a back yard to this place, with chairs and a creek. It is awesome. My dog and I really enjoyed our time in and beside the creek. I'd definitely stay here again.

First of all, the "restaurant" is closed. Breakfast consisted of coffee, lucky charms and black bananas and stale mini pastries. The ice machine is locked up at 9 pm and often doesn't work at all. The staff was notified that someone had dumped pop in front of our door, but they never cleaned it up. Grumpy staff. Not worth the price.

We have stayed here before and is our favorite hotel in Maggie Valley. Staff is always great as well as our room. Just a little disappointed this time the pool wasn't open. Looking forward to staying here again.

It was a good stay like location. Parking was tight. Especially in the evening when had a band in bar playing. Bartender was awesome other than the parking on next trip I’ll be booking a room there.

We had a fantastic time at Meadowlark. We stayed in the pool most of the week. It was the perfect size and depth. There are a lot of trees and shrubs around the pool so it can’t be seen from the road or parking lot at all. It feels private. The Speakeasy is the best hangout in Maggie Valley. Its vibe can’t be matched. The rooms are cozy and the location is ideal for your stay in Maggie Valley. Definitely recommend.

Well located and great if you are traveling with pets. Friendly owner and staff. Nice lobby and breakfast area, but the Continental breakfast was underwhelming. Clean and comfortable room.

We had such a good time in Maggie Valley and if we're ever back again we're definitely staying back at The Meadowlark Motel! Pleasant friendly staff, a full service bar downstairs, and it was pet friendly too! Thank you Meadowlark Motel!

The pool was out of order but we were not told that until we arrived, our air conditioner in our room did not work well. They have a "Speakeasy" which uses a huge part of the motels parking spaces so you can not even park by your room and the traffic is horrible. The staff however was wonderful and tried very hard to accommodate us

Cute Retro decor, very clean, everything we needed except there could have been more plug ins for electronics. Parking right in front of our room was great. Bathroom was very clean but could use an update. We would stay here again.

Clean room however a/c unit was extremely noisy and woke me during night when thermostat engaged. Also noticed extremely dirty filters inside unit. Very short chain that average person could not reach to turn on light in closet area.Bathroom floor had unappealing splotchy grout, which appeared dirty. TV was very small and should be mounted higher on wall. Coffeemaker inadequate. On a positive note, Excellent staff and we enjoyed a delicious home-cooked Thanksgiving meal as part of our room charge.

If you can sleep thru noise you're good. Traffic noise, heater fan made a huge noise coming on like a chainsaw. Had to turn it off to sleep. Our bare feet got dirty from the dirty gritty floors. Soft spots bottom of tub in shower. Wont stay here again.

We checked into our room and it took 45 minutes for to short staff. Only 1 receptionist. The room had cobwebs everywhere. Bathroom had hair in it. The electrical plates were hanging out of the wall. Tv was so small it was on a small table and was below the bed so you couldn’t watch it. Ramp outside of our room was old and boards were rotten about the break. Very disappointed. We have stayed here prior and our room before was nothing like this one. Definitely needs updating.

Hand held shower head was extra nice, most of the room was clean but your socks reveal the floor needs mopping. Beds comfy, walls are thin, and close to a busy road so there's traffic noises. No room for toiletries in the bathroom and a hook on bathroom door would be helpful. But still good enoughfor the price

We were only here the 1 night, on a road trip, but were pleasantly surprised with this motel in the very cozy Maggie village. We had room 130, it was overlooking the creek, providing great views, bed was nice, had a large tub too. The entire motel had a very mountain cabin type feel to it which we loved. The owner was very friendly and helpful as well. We were here during the off season but there was still plenty of dining options to choose frome. Would definitely return again.

Clean room but pathecially bad furnishings. Bed stand might have been high enough decades ago but now higher beds so stand too low; Beds had something under sheet that crinkled loudly with any movement; really bad, limited lighting in room, nice table in corner but no light and no nearby socket to plug in light; drawer stand low, TV on stand so low it's difficult to watch from bed; no space for toiletries in bathroom; closet space just outside bathroom was big - space to put cabinet / stand to put stuff but nothing. Only one plugin per wall. Room being so poorly appointed reflects complete lack of understanding nor care of how to make a room comfortable and convenient.

The safety Lock on door was busted, tv wouldn’t come on, bed was hard and squeaky, continental breakfast was toast, coffee was good, cute room attire. Extra shower fixtures in shower. The air conditioner was behind curtain main window Couldn’t feel it. Curtains come apart with full view of bed. Close to all attractions and food.

They were so sweet. Upgraded my room too! Easy check in and check out. I had to leave a day early because I was afraid of getting trapped by the hurricane aftermath. But the one night I stayed was VERY comfortable and clean.

This is the greatest place to stay in Maggie Valley, hands-down. Joseph, the owner, is the bomb and so awesome. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. All of the amenities are spot on like the creek, fire pit, pool, restaurant/bar/lounge, had live music. Breakfast. Plus, walking distance to most everything. I could not have been any better and this is our new go to place when we come to Maggie Valley. Oh, and of course the room was fantastic.

Parking was good we had trailered our motorcycle. Assigned an older room it was clean bed comfortable. Had a small "Speakeasy" Live entertainment was very good, Was told at check-in to place used towels on chair outside motel room as early as possible in the mornings We had a six night stay booked we placed towels outside each morning as requested but when we returned each afternoon/evening dirty towels still in that chair and no fresh towels. Front desk mostly unattended that time of day had to telephone a number posted on office door! Breakfast service not staffed/serviced well cold coffee

The two ladies were very nice at check in. It's quiet, clean, bed was comfortable, dine in options. Big back yard and creek out back. Pet friendly. The grounds well maintained. Had an issue with water pressure/ hot water first evening. Maintenance was called. They made sure we had another room for hot shower. Next day in our room water was fine and good to go. Would definitely stay there again.

The staff truly make this an excellent experience. There is an onsite restaurant with amazing food. Plenty of parking and a walkable location makes this an ideal spot. Absolutely will return!

Room was mediocre which was expected...odd having a jacuzzi tub as the shower. Dirt on floor. Got there Thursday had to go ask for towels on Saturday. Apparently zero cleaning service while you stay. The restaurant is absolutely horrible and extremely overpriced. The absolute blandest food I've ever been served. Way too bougie for it's location and trying too hard. Got some pulled pork sliders &Mac n cheese.. plain elbow macaroni with some shredded cheese melted on top and 3 little sliders of mushy zero seasoning pork butt. Salt would have been an improvement. With a water for $26...buddy ordered ribs...1 single rib bone on a tiny square of gritty cornbread. His wife had trout. Bland no seasoning. Only meal that actually covered the plate. Their meal with 1 drink each $75. Honestly only good food we had all weekend was from a trailer in the fairgrounds

When booking this facility, I had read that is was family owned and operated for decades.. Pride of ownership certainly showed in the facility. Room was fresh and clean, staff was knowledgable, friendly and very helpful. They had opened a new restaurant on site a few weeks ago, and it was really very good! Try the short ribs, they will NOT disappoint!

My son and I stayed here for NYE and had a wonderful time. We are at the Speakeasy on the premises and had the best smashed burgers ever! The owners were lovely, and the live entertainment in the Speakeasy was such a treat. We would definitely stay here again.

mattress or topper had noisy material in it. could not quietly roll over. A desk or a comfy chair would have been nice as would a lamp on both sides of the bed. Would have been great if the blinds had the rod so the blinds could have been tilted open so the bottom could have been closed but the top open for more privacy instead of only options of open or closed. Continental breakfast was very disappointing but the supper meal was excellent. Desserts were excellent.

I've stayed a few times now. What I like most about it is the picnic and setting area out back. It gets you away from the traffic noise and has a canopy and fire pit at the creek. The canopy area needs attention but it's still nice. The restaurant has a good menu. It took a while to get out food but it was worth the wait. Rocking chairs and table at the front door of the rooms. Staff is super friendly and attentive. We stayed during the biker rallys each time. So it's a bit more expensive than regular stays. Can't speak for everyone but bikers like it. They will give you rags if needed and let you put your bike under the canopy
