Studio 6 Austin Airport

The property was nice. Front desk was super nice and courteous, they offer housekeeping everyday/or every other day and they come without hesitation. The only thing I didn’t like was the parking especially if you arrive late, you will have to park down the hill than walk to the hotel entrance if it’s no parking spots by the building which is limited. They have security but the morning I left somebody broke into all the trucks that was at the hotel and the hotel and police didn’t do nothing about it, so I definitely wouldn’t be staying at that hotel again. Everything was good except the vehicles that got broken into and it was thanksgiving day when somebody broken into them.

The parking area is very small around the building and it seemed the staff took most of those spots

Not so good for a 4 story floors. Laundry mat is located on the 3 rd floor. Parking lot was way too small, accept for a downhill level parking lot, which is a walking distance. Security was good issued with parking pass. Security car with flashing lights all night is a good measure. Waiting lobby is in good clean condition with three vending machines; one does not function.

Front desk was exceptional and friendly when arriving at night. Security in the parking lot overnight(to help tow unauthorized vehicles)adds a level of assurance that your vehicle is safe overnight.

Ice machine broken, poor quality of coffee

The property is better than some of the reviews make it out to be. It does have its quirks however. This property appears to be located in a clean and safe neighborhood. The parking arrangement is a little unusual in that the two adjoining parking lots have the larger lot downhill about 50 yards from the entrance, and because there is not a check-in only parking spot near the entrance, you end up having to park in the big lot downhill in order to check-in. While it will not be a problem for most people to make the short trek, the process can be improved, because at check-in you are given a parking pass that must to be placed on the dashboard of your vehicle or risk it being towed. This means if you parked in the lower parking lot, you walk uphill to check in, walk back down and up again. It is even more inconvenient to do so with your luggage already towed to the checkin counter. The rooms are fairly new in appearance, yet has a minimalistic design with a combined open air furniture piece that has a short rod on each side for hanging clothes, a mounted TV, and a cubby hole for the TV remote and info sheet. It is functional. Small refrigerator and microwave oven are provided, but no coffee maker and no hair dryer. Presumably designed for efficiency and low-cost operation, the shampoo and lotion are single use packets (similar to packets of ketchup). Staff are friendly and the check-in process is quite typical.

About 30 cars in the parking lot. They were all broken into! Hotel staff did nothing about it. Maybe they were in on it? We will not be staying there again.

The room was very clean. Small, but adequately furnished the bed was comfortable. The young lady at the desk when we checked in was very nice. As was the morning person. Our only complaint was the elevator wasnt working in the morning and we had to use the stairs in order to meet our Uber on time

The room felt neglected, the toilet was not working properly as it was running water all the time. The room and restroom had a musty smell. Staff was friendly.

Staff at front counter was friendly. Room was ok but I got 5 bites on my ankle. Small red bites that itched. Checked the bed for bugs, didnt see any. In the morning, a live roach ran across the bed! They need to exterminate the property. We were there on F1 weekend so it was hard to book a room near the airport. We stayed here for covenience due to having an early morning flight. Would not stay here again.

It was okay I guess. Room smelled like Curry real bad from someone cooking in there. Three crappy pillows on a crappy mattress. You get what you pay for I guess. Guy at the front desk was very nice though.

I'm 50 years old, I've stayed in a lot of Motel 6's in my life. This was by far the absolute cleanest Motel 6 I've ever seen. Clean to a different degrer. There were refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms, nice flat screen TVs. Carpet was perfect, everything looked brand new. There was about a 1-in gap under the door that I didn't like, but I just put a towel in front of that. The showers could have had larger seats to sit down, there's a seat on either end and no bath. But some rooms may have a bath, I'm not sure. Otherwise this was just about the most perfect Motel 6 experience ever. It was just extremely pristine. I can't express the cleanliness of this place. Extremely impressed.

The property itself is in a good location, but as soon as I walked in, there’s stuff that is really dirty. All the furnishings are really dirty. The room was relatively clean, but a lot of the appliances in the kitchen where in rough condition.

Motel 6's are usually not known to be the fanciest places of accommodation, but this location needs to be recognized for their outstanding service, cleanliness, and overall maintenance of the building and parking lot. There is plenty of parking and a security guard is always sitting outside. When you walk inside the first sliding doors, you must be let in by an attendant at the desk, but they were ready for me and let me in without needing to ask. Check-in was smooth and they had reassured me that the building was a non-smoking facility. Security is great, since you must have a key-card to access the building. Inside the lobby, it was very clean. You have access to working vending machines and ice. The elevators all worked properly and there was nothing amiss. The room we chose was small but clean, air conditioning worked as it should, and the cleaning crew personally left a note asking if there's any improvements that need to be made. All of this shows that management cares. Checkout was just as easy and in the morning, I could not even count the number of staff that we encountered. They were mopping the floors of the lobby and told us to be very careful leaving as to not slip. Everyone is so friendly and I left with a smile on my face. The location is fantastic if you're going to COTA and the price is always much less than the competition around it. I highly recommend staying here!

Yes the room was clean and spotless and the staff were nice

There is no toiletries except for a bar of soap, they have vending machines of snacks and drinks, keep in mind they were mid empty, no water in the room. Half the mattress is on a square of wood and the other suspended with two legs. The mattress moves to the side. It is ok for the price and closeness to airport, a Starbucks is a 8 min walk away. Staff were attentive. Bags are not held after check out. And rooms are not cleaned except certain days for certain floors.

This was a quick weekend visit with family. There’s a kitchen with stove, micro, & fridge. Unfortunately no pots/pans/utensils. Room was clean, beds comfortable, 10 min drive to airport. Plenty free parking. Hotel has coinop laundry. Snack machines in lobby. Pictures are accurate.

The bed kept moving around on the platform it was on. But other than that everything was great! Thanks.

Walls are very thin. Heard music a people doing grow people things during our stay.

Rooms are like a military barracks ,plain, sparse and slightly grimy.

Our room is very small and rectangular, the elevators back up to it, no place to hang clothes. Faces a loud road.

The beds are not queen beds they are double maybe even twin beds. We asked for a king and we got 2 beds small ones.

The staff were nice at this location. The rooms were clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that the door to the rooms have an open gap at bottom, which makes it noisy when people are in the hallway. The doors are also heavy so that when closing, it makes a slamming noise which is disturbing when people are leaving their rooms.

We stayed the night before our early flight. Room was comfortable. Small but more than enough just to sleep. Staff was very friendly and the hotel itself was quiet. I do wish they had coffee makers in the rooms because we had to leave before coffee was ready downstairs. It’s about a 2 minute drive to The parking spot west of you are leaving your car.

I went to stay at the Studio 6 by the Airport in Austin TX. I checked in and already too late to cancel when they told me that every person that comes to my room has to have a valid ID or they cannot come up. Well I did have a friend come to see me and it was 430pm in the afternoon. They did not have an ID and so my friend who I was there to do see business with was not able to come in and do business. I asked if they would make an exception and was told NO! Ihad to.leave and get another room close by. Do not stay at this motel. They are rude and take a deposit and did not return my money for the room. Very disappointing since I do LOTS of business stay at thousands of room over 40 years and USED to stay at Motel6 regularly and never have had this problem.Imagine going on a vacation with your family with some older family members that do not have ID or something or maybe lost it somehow and being told that they can’t stay in their room. WOW!!! The managers name was Hiliary and she was RUDE even when I pleaded with her to let my friend stay and I would walk them in and 9ut of the motel and they were not staying the night. There is no rule on my Expedia Reservation saying this rule and I have frankly NEVER heard of this. but if this is the case, maybe they have prostitutes and drug dealers going in all the time that they can’t regulate.. So, think twice before you stay here. and let me stress that this is never happened in 40 years and thousands of rooms that I stayed at.

The best hotel staff I have ever seen. From the front desk, to housekeeping and maintenance, they take pride in keeping this place clean, safe and affordable.

During the process of registration all the members in our party were required to provide an ID which in my 56 years of life has never been required. Usually just the responsible party is required to show and ID and credit card. The one member in our party who forgot their ID was not allowed in the premises so we had to leave and forfeit the first night of stay for two rooms which had already been charged. There was no manager to talk to in the premises. This ranks very high in my negative overall life experiences. Being mistreated and humiliated like this. They also wanted a $50.00 deposit per room. I and everyone in my group will make sure everyone knows what happened here. I called the corporate office in the morning and they were absolutely no help. I guess thanks for the life lesson.

Studio 6 staff were all friendly and professional. Area is not the best. My car was towed by the hotel, even though I had my parking pass in the dash. After several calls to J&J towing they said my pass was in the car. I had to go to towing yard at 3am to get my car. There was No offer to return my car by J&J towing, even tough it was unlawfully towed. or offer from hotel to get me a ride to my car. I had to get a Lyft ride to get it and it would have cost $250 if my pass was not in the car, even though I was a hotel guest. The Lyft driver was nicest of alI ( at the towing yard down a dark road with a single light bulb by the office window, dogs barking, middle of the night...he got out and made sure I was ok and waited until I got to my car) I left one day early because I was afraid it would happen again. I was not offered any compensation from the hotel, for the night I didn't stay or the Lyft ride. The area is up and coming; however, still not considered safe, in my eyes.

The establishment is full of deception. Upon arrival, I was unexpectedly required to provide a $50 deposit at the reception, a detail conveniently omitted during the room reservation process. Threatened with reservation cancellation, I reluctantly complied, only to find my card debited for the security deposit. Upon departure, I anticipated the full reversal of the deposit, yet to my dismay, only $32 was returned to my card. Upon inquiry, I was informed of alleged stains on kitchen and bath towels, a claim I found preposterous, especially considering I had left a tip for housekeeping upon leaving. I am not recommending the hotel

I had left my charger in a hotel I stayed for a sales meeting and the hotel claimed they couldn't find it two hours later, Motel 6 receptionist not only instructed me where I could buy a replacement closeby, they also gave me a charger to use overnight, so I had enough charge for my boarding pass thr next day. Awesome 👍

Worst experience at a hotel. They lied and said tub in room but apparently not the room I booked even though it states standard room comes with a tub. The room smelled like cigarettes and the manager didn't care about my disability. She refused to switch my room and she wouldn't let me check out even though it was brought to their attention about the room even showed pictures with my booking she said not her problem. I called hotels.com and then she told them she wasn't going to be there until after 3.

This motel 6 studio at the airport was amazing compared to the run down other motel 6 at the airport. It was super clean and inviting. When booking I thought it was the same motel 6 (there are 2 airport motels 6’s in Austin) as there was no clear distinction between the two. My 11yo and I had a tragic occurrence at the crappy one and then got to this one and we’re quite relieved. The manager Ruth was amazing and the front desk guy Alejandro was compassionate and kind when I was having a mental breakdown after dealing with the terrible other airport motel 6. I hope they are both recognized as outstanding employees! Thank you for making me feel better and treating me with professionalism and kindness.

Convenient location from the airport. Not a lot of dining options is you land late in the evening. This is a good place to stay If you are just looking for a place to sleep.

My stay here was actually quite nice. The room was well kept and clean. Bathroom was nice with fresh towels daily and fast hot water in all the faucets. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Only complaint would be that if you are planning on walking or taking the bus that there is a good bit of homeless folks in the area. None ever bothered me though.

Perfect for a quick airport overnight.

There was no decent choice of restaurants in the area (only Dennys and Waffle House). Although the hotel was very clean, new, and the staff was great, this is a minimal amenities hotel, suitable for a quick overnight stay for a single traveler on the road. Hotel is near the airport and freeways, with the attendant traffic congestion.

The motel is ideally located between the airport and the city center. Especially if someone cares about good access to both places. Equipment in good condition. Clean. Parking. On the other hand, the motel does not have the ability to purchase coffee and the area around the motel is a bit suspicious. We did not feel completely safe there.

Good for the price and proximity to airport.

Just needed somewhere to stay for the night close to the airport and this place did the job. Was cheap and clean. There is a bus stop right across the street that gets u to the airport for only $2 and less than 10 mins in the bus.

Property is in good shape, looks to be new. I missed having a breakfast along the lines of a Days Inn. Also, maids never came by in the week I was there.
