It was easy to find , The lady's at front were very nice. The beach side of property is wonderful , the included breakfast was great. The entrance to hotel at the back is a little off putting. I was very concerned at first , but other than that the rooms are nice , the property is great. Clean No complaints .

A Decent Stay with Some Room for Improvement Overall, I had a nice time at Sand and Tan Hotel in Ocho Rios. The room was lovely and comfortable, but a few issues held me back from giving a higher rating. The bathroom could definitely use some updating—the shower knobs were quite stiff, which made it a bit difficult to use. The TV in the room also felt outdated. My biggest concern was the lack of reliable WiFi in the room. I was only able to get full access in the reception area or other communal spaces, which made it difficult to get work done during my stay. On the positive side, the music and general ambiance of the property were great. However, my room was located right beside the speakers, so at times it got a bit too loud for comfort. In terms of safety, I had some concerns about the parking situation. The lot felt too open and lacked adequate security. One night, I had to park near a bushy area with very little lighting, which made me uneasy leaving my car there overnight. Despite these drawbacks, the staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent customer service throughout my stay. The breakfast was also delicious and a definite highlight of the trip. With a few upgrades and improvements, this hotel has the potential to be a real gem.

The property was clean and the food was fabulous! The staff including Deyan, Romi and Sarah were very accommodating and friendly. Beach entry is a little rough but they have plenty of loungers on the dock for sunning. I would visit again.

Mario, the owner, is great. Threw me a little birthday party which was very loving while I was going through a hard time. The ocean lulls you to sleep. The pier is wonderful to lay on while listening to the waves. It’s also deep enough to jump off of and feel like a kid again. The river is walking distance on the beach and it is very family friendly. The food is top notch. Highly recommend.

We had a great time at Sand and Tan Beach hotel! It was perfect for a couples getaway and we will definitely be coming back. This place is perfect for a solo or couples trip. Very quiet and relaxing, hardly ever any kids around. Breakfast was amazing and the drinks are awesome! Staff is very friendly. Our AC went out our last night and they were kind enough to move us to another room within an hour and gave us complimentary drinks at the bar. The beach was clean and the white river is just a 2 minute walk down the shore! My only advice is to bring a pair of water shoes because some parts of the shore has rocks and little pebbles, so it can be uncomfortable to walk. Overall, 10/10.

The private beach at Sand & Tan was so lovely, I could walk out of my room straight to the beach and the bar. The area aroud the hotel is very authentic Jamaica with locals who are more than willing to help.

The room was clean. Only 2 towels. No wash clothes or hand towels or bath mat. There was no hot water for showers. Only luke warm water. The hair dryer didn't work and we had to ask twice to get a hair dryer sent to the room. Also had to ask twice for wash clothes. The breakfast was very good and the staff was always kind and pleasant. The beach bar and the staff there was great. I've stayed there many times before and this was not the same as what we've come to expect.

I princip inget stämde med bilderna som hotellet lagt upp. Rummet och hotellet var slitet, lyhört, gammalt och luktade illa. Stranden och området runt hotellet var skräpigt och inte alls inbjudande. Behållningen var restaurangen som serverade god mat och låg fint, mer eller mindre i vattnet. Personalen var också trevlig och hjälpsam. Vi kände oss dessutom otrygga då hotellet låg i ett getto och dörren till rummet var en innerdörr, inte något man har in till ett hotellrum. Vi ville inte, av säkerhetsskäl, lämna hotellet till fots då det kändes obehagligt att gå genom gettoområdet med påverkade människor, gatuhundar, sopor och påltskjul. Vi ville inte spendera vår semester här, utan checkade ut efter en sömnlös natt. En stor besvikelse och kan verkligen INTE rekommendera om man vill ha en fin och trevlig upplevelse.

RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN FROM THIS TRASH HOTEL. Do not let the photos fool you. This is was the worst experience I have ever had. The bathroom was disgusting. The shower head did not work which forced us to take a squat bath with the water running. The floors were disgusting we didn't even want to take our shoes off. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and cheap. But you can see the quality of the mattress because they literally had dirty mattresses stacked up at the end of the hallway. Everything was terribly disgusting. Don't think you are going to call anyone for help because there is no phone in the rooms. All the furniture was broke down and ripped apart. This was more like a $20 hotel instead of spending $140 a night. Please this is a waste of your money. We booked the room for 2 nights but checked out the next morning because why would we continue to have to endure such horrible standard of living. They would not issue me a refund for the rest of my stay. This is a TRASH TRASH TRASH hotel! I will be posting all my pictures and videos and creating a video on TikTok to warn international travels to not book here unless they want a $20 expereince. But at least in a $20 hotel you can take a descent shower. They really got all my money for this crappy place.

Spent 4 days there this past March. The view from the balcony of our room was beautiful But room could use more cleanliness Hot water in the bathroom was not hot. The place need a little more tic The pictures online when booking looks amazing but the reality is a little deceiving. If you’re an average traveler needing a place to stay and on budget, this is for you but if you’re looking for something nice well maintained and updated then this is not your style. On the other hand the staff was amazing. From the front counter girl Blu to Miss Janice to Romy to the owner omg they were really nice people We enjoyed interacting with them and everything we ask they did for us. Thank you

I barely (had) any hot water during my stay. I had to call out staff (three) times to my room(106), because a lack of hot water. The toilet got blocked the second (day) off my stay? On the 31st January , from 4am until I checked out at 11.00am, their was no hot water & I had to depart for a 10 hr flight, not be (able) to shower? On the 31st January am time, staff was been not been honest with me, in regards to (me) getting hot to my (room). I wouldn't recommend Anyone I knew, to the Sand And Tan Beach Hotel.

I loved having my room right at the water. You could hear the waves all night long. Falling asleep and waking up to the ocean is beautiful. The staff is very nice and helpful. The food from the on-site restaurant was very good, taste like home cooking. Tables were set up on the pier for lunch and dinner. The bar plays nice selection of music and the vibe was relaxing. This is a quaint low budget hotel for Jamaica but If you’re looking for a low key relaxing place to vacation this is it.

I had a beachfront view, and it was just breathtaking. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to a seafood restaurant, where we dined. It was a relaxing vacation. I would stay here again.

The room was clean. Only 2 towels. No wash clothes or hand towels or bath mat. There was no hot water for showers. Only luke warm water. The hair dryer didn't work and we had to ask twice to get a hair dryer sent to the room. Also had to ask twice for wash clothes. The breakfast was very good and the staff was always kind and pleasant. The beach bar and the staff there was great. I've stayed there many times before and this was not the same as what we've come to expect.

The service and Staff go above and beyond for the client!!!! Everyone is so friendly and nice, from before I reached I received an email asking if I need to be picked up from the airport. To the thank you email after check out! Absolutely amazing . I will be back and I’m bringing more friends.

This is not a 4 star hotel. The rooms are not as clean as they appear on the website and the air conditioning is questionable. The staff was rude and unaccommodating and the restaurant did not have half the items listed on the menu. It was so bad we had to check out almost immediately and go somewhere else.

It’s a small hotel run almost like a family operation. Everybody had a smile on their face and made every effort to make our stay wonderful. You could hear the waves crashing on the beach through out the day and night, hotel is like 10m from the beach. Breakfast was made from scratch every morning, wonderful. Dinner choices in the evening were also delicious. I give our stay a 10 , exceeded expectations

Mario, the owner, is great. Threw me a little birthday party which was very loving while I was going through a hard time. The ocean lulls you to sleep. The pier is wonderful to lay on while listening to the waves. It’s also deep enough to jump off of and feel like a kid again. The river is walking distance on the beach and it is very family friendly. The food is top notch. Highly recommend.

We had a great time at Sand and Tan Beach hotel! It was perfect for a couples getaway and we will definitely be coming back. This place is perfect for a solo or couples trip. Very quiet and relaxing, hardly ever any kids around. Breakfast was amazing and the drinks are awesome! Staff is very friendly. Our AC went out our last night and they were kind enough to move us to another room within an hour and gave us complimentary drinks at the bar. The beach was clean and the white river is just a 2 minute walk down the shore! My only advice is to bring a pair of water shoes because some parts of the shore has rocks and little pebbles, so it can be uncomfortable to walk. Overall, 10/10.

Steps to a clean beach and the River. Snorkeling along the pier was great. The food was amazing! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was big, beautiful, and had all the amenities. I will be back and highly recommend this small family run hotel

Loved that this hotel is directly on the beach; can hear waves crashing at night from the room with a balcony and huge glass doors facing the ocean. Sunset and sunrise views make it incredibly unique and special; VIP lounge in a beach tree! And beach bar with so much vibes there is no need to go anywhere else for fun times. White river is literally steps away and the local fish pot restaurant is awesome. Very safe place! DJ and local restaurant hosting on Saturdays and Sundays. Staff Sarah, Steve, Ingrid, Campbell, all of them are so great! And the breakfast included is unmatched anywhere in the vicinity. There is also lunch and dinner options better than most restaurants you can find. The local vibe and local people cannot be any better anywhere on the island. There was no potter on arrival to help with the languages. The building is old and needs renovation/upgrade. The area where the hotel is located is very rough and scary with people hanging around on the way to the hotel.

This is an amazing beach oasis, a hidden gem! Unfortunately a bit too hidden as there is no signage off the main road. The road to the hotel is a bit much, but once you open the sliding doors to the beach you know you came to the right place! The food was superb, Seafood Platter and Jamaican Curry Crab are a must! Enjoyed my morning swim followed by an authentic Jamaican breakfast.

The customer service is excellent. The property is in front of the beach and the bar too, they make excellent drinks! White river is very close to the property. The individual a/c went off at night time because works with motion, since we deeply slept it went off. If this happens to you ask manager at any time to remove the motion equipment, they are very kind. Hard to find the hotel via GPS, you need to go around to get to the area around the property is terrible.

Perfect relaxing beachfront property. All rooms face the ocean. Nice beachfront bar. Food choices plentiful, but found they were out of many menu items throughout our 4 day stay. Also food service was at times very, very slow. All staff were friendly and helpful. Since it’s beachfront, it would have been nice to have beach towels in rooms. Great WiFi through the entire property. Loved having the free use of paddle boards.

The property was clean and the food was fabulous! The staff including Deyan, Romi and Sarah were very accommodating and friendly. Beach entry is a little rough but they have plenty of loungers on the dock for sunning. I would visit again.

It’s a 3 star hotel advertising and charging like a 5 star hotel. I paid for a deluxe room which was on 3rd floor. I have a bad knee so asked to be put on first floor. They do not offer deluxe rooms on first floor so was downgraded to a premium room which was directly across from the bar. Music was loud but stopped around 9:30pm. Food prices very high for quality of food. Free breakfast was adequate. Beach sand was gravelly and difficult to get into and out of due to the level of gravel you had to go thru which was at an incline. It clearly needs upgrades. The sliders to verandas are old and heavy. Very difficult to open. Bath towels only provided in rooms. Had to ask for face cloths and smaller face towels. Laundry staff stated they don’t provide them in the room because guests steal them. Could only get U-tube on Tv even after someone checked it out. Asked for a credit to my card several times due to the downgrade. It was still not addressed when at the time of check out. I would not recommend this hotel for what they are charging until they upgrade to the level equal to the cost of staying there.

Small quaint hotel spot on the water. Staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean,spacious and air conditioning is cold. The patio outside the room is amazing to view the sunset. Tiki bar is expensive but play the best music!! Food is fabulous!

Struttura è vecchia e data. Alcune stanze sono state già ristrutturate. La posizione, tranquillità è la vista sulla piccola baia lontana dalle grandi crociere è impagabile. Oltre questo lo staff è davvero fantastico.

First off, on arrival the room was dark and a little dated with mismatched flooring tiles. The main bed room ceiling light did not work, neither did the side table light. I called downstairs to receptionist and was informed that maintenance was gone for the day and they would send someone to change the side table light but the ceiling light would be fixed the following day. A drink credit was given for the inconvenience. No one ever came to fix the ceiling light the next day. The refrigerator didn’t work and the for an hour there was no water. I called to let them know about the refrigerator and reminded them about the ceiling light. My husband and I got to breakfast around 8:30am and was not served until 9:45am due to them only having one staff member available for breakfast. When we did get served they run out of some food items. Lunch was no different we waited about 2 hours and when we did receive our food it was cold and unedible. The refrigerator was changed the next morning and about 7pm on our final night they offered to change our room. We declined since we were checking out early the next morning. Mind you this was a busy Mother’s Day weekend you would think they would staff and have food for the reservations they had. We requested to speak to the manager but that did not happen either, bad customer service.

I called downstairs to receptionist and was informed that maintenance was gone for the day and they would send someone to change the side table light but the ceiling light would be fixed the following day. A drink credit was given for the inconvenience. No one ever came to fix the ceiling light the next day. The refrigerator didn’t work and the for an hour there was no water. I called to let them know about the refrigerator and reminded them about the ceiling light. My husband and I got to breakfast around 8:30am and was not served until 9:45am due to them only having one staff member available for breakfast. When we did get served they run out of some food items. Lunch was no different we waited about 2 hours and when we did receive our food it was cold and unedible. The refrigerator was changed the next morning and about 7pm on our final night they offered to change our room. We declined since we were checking out early the next morning. Mind you this was a busy Mother’s Day weekend you would think they would staff and have food for the reservations they had. We requested to speak to the manager but that did not happen either, bad customer service.

Beautiful beach access! Staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean with running hot water. The food is on the pricey side and the bar closes fairly early imo (9pm), so if you’re hungry or thirsty late be prepared to venture off the property, but the party vibes are very nice during the weekend. Breakfast is very nice, worth the wake up and the view from the rooms are amazing! Would absolutely stay again :)
