Amazing stay. Lovely engaging hosts who provided a lovely breakfast with a smile each morning. The room was very cosy with everything you needed. Spa was warm. Let us borrow a set of golf clubs. Amazing weekend away for us!

Julie, the host, was excellent. I stayed 8 days. There was a made to order hot breakfast each day. At the end of a hard day of golf, there was a hot tub in which to relax. The room had everything one needed. Any problem that arose, Julie solved. I had a flight schedule change that resulted in needing extra accommodation, which, although she was fully booked, Julie managed to rearrange things to allow me to stay on. If i were back in the area I would definitely stay there. Cannot say enough good things about Julie and the Dunclutha Guest House.

Property was lovely. Room was clean and modern. Shortbread, water and various teas and coffees available in room. Owners very friendly. Hot tub was a great perk. Breakfast was also excellent. Fresh fruit, cereals and cooked all available. Lovely home made jams to buy too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Such a great spot - I stayed here for one night before flying out of Edinburgh the next day. The owners of the guest house truly thought of everything for a very reasonable price, a large Scottish breakfast included. My room was clean, included homemade shortbread, coffee, & tea, and was very homey. Use of the hot tub in the backyard was an added bonus at the end of the evening as well! The town itself is cute and very walkable, the fish at Imries Fish Bar was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend staying here!

I really enjoyed a comfortable stay at Dunclutha during a golf trip to Leven. Julie Hind is an extremely hospitable and capable host. My room was a generous size, with every amenity I could have wanted. Located in a classic Leven home, with wide staircase and large bed and bath rooms. Even on a Monday night, I easily found a walkable restaurant (Caledonian Pub and Bistro?) a short stroll from Dunclutha. Parking was on-site. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our stay, great location and fabulous hosts. Really helpful and local knowledge as well. Good recommendations for places to eat and to visit. Lovely old property decorated to a high standard and spotlessly clean throughout. I stayed in the 'Turquoise Room' which was a comfortable double with a lovely modern en-suite shower room. The weather was very hot when I stayed and a fan was thoughtfully provided. Great breakfast with a good choice of food on offer.

Superb property and host! Located just off the end of the high street and about 10 minute walk from train and bus stations. Met by host who was very friendly and welcoming. We were away too early to have the renowned cooked breakfast, but host agreed that it was no problem to have a very early “cold” breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, fruit, toast and coffee - lots of choice and plenty to set us up! Wonderful! Room was very clean, comfortable, well appointed and with plenty of storage space. Very comfy beds. Good TV. Great tea / coffee making facilities, including great home made biscuits. Superb, powerful, hot, easy to use shower with toiletries provided. This was a great experience at a great price for what was provided. Very good value! Will definitely stay again!

Very welcoming place, felt completely at home! Lovely owners, two gorgeous cats, spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom, great shower, tv and heating were both working perfectly, comfy bed, breakfast was delicious... I couldn't ask for any more! It's an absolute gem especially at that price!! I'll definitely be back in the future! Thank you! x

Stayed 3 nights in the Green room. If you book this room, a word of warning. The bed is so comfortable that you are in real danger of missing breakfast. 3 mornings I woke up and was so comfortable I considered skipping breakfast. Glad I didn’t as the food as was everything at The Dunclutha just spot on. Not hard to see why their current rating on here is Excellent.

I travelled to Leven alone to stay over for a football trip. I am so glad I booked to stay at Dunclutha Guest House. From the moment I arrived I was given a very warm welcome from the owner and her lovely cats! The room was perfect in every way with super comfy bed and a great shower. I had one of my best sleeps in a long time with no background noise. In the morning I popped downstairs for a fantastic hand cooked breakfast which was delicious and set me up for the day. I enjoyed chatting to the host who was lovely for the whole time I was there and made me feel very relaxed and welcome. I’ll definitely be going back there bext time I am in Leven. First class service in every way. Thank you so much! Craig

The owners are friendly and the accommodations are great. The property is located between 3 churches in a quiet neighborhood. The breakfast cooked to order and was amazing. A softer bed in room T would be my only suggestion. Would stay again.

Loved our stay at Dunclutha. Host looked after us so well. They could not be more obliging. Went above and beyond when we had a little hiccup in our travel plans. Room was as expected. Very quiet, large and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Would highly recommend.

The freshly cooked breakfast was excellent with a good choice. Unfortunately our shower was difficult to operate as we couldn't get consistent flow or temperature. Our room was large with plenty of storage space and comfy beds.

This was my second visit, Julie the landlady is great, everything you could need is provided, from tissues to extra blankies and more. Her breakfasts are almost belly busting, a great selection, including homemade jams. It's a home away from home, for me especially, she has two beautiful cats, so I don't get homesick 😀. Great place to stay, clean and quiet, 10 mins from both bus/train stations and 10 mins from the beach. If you get her Blue room, technically you get a seaview too 😀. I can't wait for my next visit.

Had a lovely stay here. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Locked my bike up securely, delicious shortbread in the room, directed my to great swimming places, excellent breakfast and lovely chats. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Dunclutha Guest House for two nights in August as the first stop on our Scottish road trip, and it set the bar high. The guesthouse has a warm, homely feel, like staying at a relative’s place (the kind you like visiting). Julie and Richard were wonderful hosts: friendly and genuinely welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, you fill out a checklist the day before and they cook everything fresh, I loved their poached eggs and haggis. There was also a good spread of fruit, yoghurt, and juice in the breakfast room. Our room was clean, cosy, and came with thoughtful touches like homemade shortbread (which didn’t last long!) and tea/coffee. We didn’t expect housekeeping for such a short stay, but the room was cleaned and fresh towels were waiting when we returned. The bed was very comfortable, and while our room faced a road with some early morning traffic noise, it didn’t detract much from the experience. We used the guesthouse as a base to explore St Andrews and take a boat trip to the Isle of May from Anstruther — both lovely drives through the Fife countryside. There was convenient parking right outside the house. And if you're a cat lover, keep an eye out for the resident felines — they’re just as charming as the hosts. I’d absolutely stay again and recommend to couples, solo travellers, families, and anyone looking for a friendly, relaxed Scottish B&B experience.

Stayed one night and everything was great. Really nice room. Good nights sleep.lovely breakfast included. Could have had cooked but I just wanted continental. There was good cereal selection, yoghurts and big bowl of fresh fruit salad. Very friendly owner .It is handy for town centre, no need to drive into town

Superb property and host! Located just off the end of the high street and about 10 minute walk from train and bus stations. Met by host who was very friendly and welcoming. We were away too early to have the renowned cooked breakfast, but host agreed that it was no problem to have a very early “cold” breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, fruit, toast and coffee - lots of choice and plenty to set us up! Wonderful! Room was very clean, comfortable, well appointed and with plenty of storage space. Very comfy beds. Good TV. Great tea / coffee making facilities, including great home made biscuits. Superb, powerful, hot, easy to use shower with toiletries provided. This was a great experience at a great price for what was provided. Very good value! Will definitely stay again!

Such a great spot - I stayed here for one night before flying out of Edinburgh the next day. The owners of the guest house truly thought of everything for a very reasonable price, a large Scottish breakfast included. My room was clean, included homemade shortbread, coffee, & tea, and was very homey. Use of the hot tub in the backyard was an added bonus at the end of the evening as well! The town itself is cute and very walkable, the fish at Imries Fish Bar was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend staying here!

I loved the stay here. It was too short. The owners were very nice and made me feel extremely welcome. Its not far from Elie where they have the famous 'chain walk', or St. Andrews. Great breakfast as well.

This is an excellent place to stay - a home from home. Short walk to Leven town centre and the beach. Room very comfortable and clean and the homemade shortbread was a treat! Cooked breakfast to order and the nicest fruit salad I’ve had in a long time! Highly recommend a stay at Dunclutha.

The owners Julie and Richard are the most wonderful hosts! The room we had was so comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing and loved Julie’s homemade jams. We bought three to take home! Julie’s homemade shortbread was to die for! Also, both Julie and Richard went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and that our needs were met! We are only sad we couldn’t stay more than one night!

This was like home from home. Julie and Richard were very personable and couldn’t do enough to help us. Breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit salad every morning, cereal, yoghurt, cooked to order full Scottish breakfast with toast and home made jams. Spacious sitting room to relax in. Hot tub was great as our daughter and grand daughter used it every night.

We had a great stay in the Tartan Room. The bathroom is only for the use of this room, but is across the corridor. The hosts were brilliant, provided loads of useful information about the local areas and activities. We left something behind by accident and Julie went out of her way to return it. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, freshly made and lots of options. Thanks for a lovely stay!
