So this was our first trip to destin, this hotel had mixed reviews but we decided to try em due to the lower price versus others. Rooms were ok but not the cleanest, the pool was closed the entire four days we were there so that was a total let down for our daughter. Other than those few details its an okay hotel but i would recommend spending a few extra dollars and go with somewhere a bit better.

The guy that checked me in was so nice and helped me get into my room an hour early, gave me instructions to the beach and was overall cheerful and friendly! Loved the service and enjoyed the pool.

All staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. You can tell the place has some years on it but I think they have kept it up well. Room was clean and very affordable. The pool is a little small but we were usually the only ones using it. It's just minutes from everything! I absolutely loved the location. It's right on the strip. There is even a retro video game store, and a good restaurant across the parking lot!

Couldn't beat the Price for this place, the staff was very friendly. There was an issue with the first room they gave uses i asked to be swapped, the room they swapped us too was very nice and super clean. The pool was like a heated pool honestly, but at night it was cooled off. will look at staying here again.

The place smelled musty when you walked into office for check in, it carried over into the room but was mixed with a urine smell. The room had been poorly maintained, sheets were stained, bed springs were uncomfortable, floors dirty and sandy. Bathtub had hair in it, the best part was being woken up by their people mowing grass at 7am, then blowing for another hour. Have to go to the office for coffee, and then for the woman to downplay the noise. Then cut off my conversation when another guest came in to assist them. She stated “I’m not the owner I can’t do anything”. Not worth $50 let alone the $250 we paid.

It was a good stay the room was pretty clean the only trouble we had was the actual floors look clean but when you walk around barefoot of your feet turn black on the bottom so they don't mop the room flooring as good as they should

We booked this hotel based on the price and reviews stating it was clean. Unfortunately, we checked in and there was a large cockroach in the bathroom. We then noticed there was a one inch plus gap under the door leading outside. We realized that bug probably wasn't alone or soon would be joined by his friends and family. At that point, we checked out. The room was also dirty and the bedding was very thin. We were there probably about 10 minutes. Not a great experience.

Once again a comfortable and quiet stay at the Hole Inn the Wall. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Never had an issue that wasn't resolved in minutes. Location is convenient. Close to restaurants and shopping. Rooms are large and comfortable. While it's an older hotel it is well maintained. Rooms are clean and well stocked with towels and linen. Shower is excellent with a lot of hot water and great pressure. I travel to Fort Walton weekly and this is the only place I stay.

The front desk attendants were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean for what they had to work with. The mattress was very old, you could feel and hear the springs when sitting in it. We also had our own valleys to sleep in.

The office clerk ( Christy ) when I check in yesterday was so nice she went the room to checked make sure my room was not smelling cigarette she took spray and went to spray it and I called her to checked my TV and don’t work she got me to moved to another room with no problem very accommodating will stay here again she deserved bonuses or increased pay rate excellent service happy customer

I had a terrible experience trying to locate this hotel. I spent hours driving around in a taxi, unable to find the property because the address provided on Hotels.com was incomplete or incorrect. The phone number listed in the description was invalid, and no one was available to assist me. This caused unnecessary stress and wasted both time and money. I am requesting a full reimbursement for this frustrating and unacceptable experience.

Once again a comfortable and quiet stay at the Hole Inn the Wall. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Never had an issue that wasn't resolved in minutes. Location is convenient. Close to restaurants and shopping. Rooms are large and comfortable. While it's an older hotel it is well maintained. Rooms are clean and well stocked with towels and linen. Shower is excellent with a lot of hot water and great pressure. I travel to Fort Walton weekly and this is the only place I stay.

All staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. You can tell the place has some years on it but I think they have kept it up well. Room was clean and very affordable. The pool is a little small but we were usually the only ones using it. It's just minutes from everything! I absolutely loved the location. It's right on the strip. There is even a retro video game store, and a good restaurant across the parking lot!

The place smelled musty when you walked into office for check in, it carried over into the room but was mixed with a urine smell. The room had been poorly maintained, sheets were stained, bed springs were uncomfortable, floors dirty and sandy. Bathtub had hair in it, the best part was being woken up by their people mowing grass at 7am, then blowing for another hour. Have to go to the office for coffee, and then for the woman to downplay the noise. Then cut off my conversation when another guest came in to assist them. She stated “I’m not the owner I can’t do anything”. Not worth $50 let alone the $250 we paid.

Nice place driving distance to the beach. No coffee maker in the room. Had to walk to office for a cup. Owners were friendly.

Room 1: Sheets and towels were dirty. floors were dirty. No seal around the door. Caulking around the wall-roof seam was cracked. A/C worked great. No staff to clean the room so I was moved to a second room. Room 2: Dirty floors, seal around the door was gone. A/C not so good. Smelled musty. No smoking in rooms was good, but as soon as you walked out smoke everywhere because all the unemployed people stand outside and smoke continuously. Plenty of nightlife because the unemployed hangout outside and in each other's rooms and block the stairs. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

Would not recommend! I found met! and met! pipes under the mattress, if they changed the sheets they would have found this! Unacceptable and staff acted like it was no big deal. Still waiting on my deposit back! Cockroaches, my door wouldn't even shut all the way.

My family and I love this place. We recommend it to everyone. They are very nice and helpful. The property stays clean. Great price. There is a store in the parking lot that sells retro vintage collectibles. Great bistro next door. Very convenient. We stay there for a few days before heading to Orlando for our yearly Disney road trip. We always stay there then go to Okaloosa Pier to fish.(less than 5 min away). On beach day you have a variety to pick from. We usually go Emerald Beach or Tarpon Beach. This property keeps a lot of options open because of its location. We love it. See yall next year!

Horrible, horrible, horrible experience! We had to change rooms twice bc of the bathroom not being clean, sockets not working! All day and night there were arguments and fights ! Cops got called numerous times and staff told us basically that we had to wait on the owner to receive any type of compensation for our horrible stay of which they didn’t know when the owner would actually be available to talk to about our compensation bc they own 2 buildings and are busy! That was the most horrible hotel me and my family has ever stayed at! Mind you, we spent over $400 to stay there for our family vacation! Wouldn’t recommend to ANYONE !!
