Mystique Holbox by Royalton, A Tribute Portfolio Resort

Our stay was overall excellent. We arrived very late, were greeted by name, quickly directed to the restaurant as we had not eaten anything & when we returned to finish checking in our bags were already taken to the room. The property is beautiful, staff is amazing, beach is incredible- just perfect. Convenient location to walk to town (5-10 min walk down the beach) or to Punta Coco the other way. Room was comfortable with great amenities. We had the Loft ocean view room and loved it- Special thanks to Leonardo & Miguel at the front desk, Gambino! Looking out for guests and his co-workers! Monserrat, Itzel, Fernando & Hector at the restaurant Uleses & Julian overseeing everything - Two negatives with misleading advertising descriptions: The "$150 resort credit" is a coupon book for things at the hotel like Spa services, bottles of wine, breakfast or dinner at $5 per. We expected $150 but were only able to received $25 value. The "Jr Suite Ocean Front Swim out" rooms: There is a dirt road that runs right in front between the these rooms (the main hotel) & the restaurant heading to the beach making the use of the little pool look unpleasant- LOTS of golf carts, motorcycles 4 wheelers etc (noise & Dust) The ocean is quite a ways away, so while you CAN see it, it's not the best view & it's NOT Ocean front. You'll get a better view from the higher rooms and going to the main pool! I would have been VERY upset if I booked this room (I considered it)

We had such a lovely stay!! The hotel was very well kept and super clean. We were at the beach area every day and there was so much space and nothing shadowing the sun. The pool was amazing as well. The best thing however, was the staff. Super welcoming and so attentive! Everybody we encountered was so helpful! In our opinion it was the perfect location. It’s only a 10 minute walk on the beach to restaurants/shops, yet it’s completely quiet at night. The only tiny thing was a weak water pressure in the shower and the WiFi was not super consistent…..but we were just more offline and that’s the whole point of vacation. Huge recommendation from us!

Fint hotellrum mot poolen och delvis utsikt mot havet med takterrass dock endast morgonsol. Det hade varit trevligt med loungemöbler på takterrassen istället för solstolar eftersom det inte är någon sol på taket under dagen. Saknades ytterbeslyning på balkongen. Det var en byggarbetsplats på baksidan som lät mycket när man låg vid stranden. Personalen i receptionen och städarna var mycket trevliga. Däremot kändes personalen på frukosten trötta och oengagerade. Den inkluderade frukosten var OK, det kändes inte som att maten var nylagad utan som att det legat ett tag och värmts upp lite. Fin beachklubb men samma trötta personal som jobbar i frukosten. Hotellet låg i bra gångavstånd till restauranger och det var fint rum men det var inte prisvärt.

Had a great time, the hotel is beautiful my room was great, the staff great, had a massage which was great…..overall, I recommend to everyone!

El hotel está en muy lindo, Justo en la playa y con un beach club muy padre. El servicio es bueno, la comida rica, recomiendo el ceviche. Esta a cuatro cuadras del centro, se puede caminar o tomar taxi de $150 pesos. Si volvemos.

Pros: the installations at the beach are nice (chairs, tents, etc). The emplacement is nice as we can easily walk to go eat or shop. People working at the reception were really plaisant (call taxis, give recommendations, facilitate the departure and the arrival). Cons: Only one restaurant - small menu and 2 times the thing we wanted to order wasn't even available. Always missing towels and it takes forever to get one. Service is very slow at restaurant and the drinks taste water only.. Can also be a bit noisy at night. I was shocked to see the constructions next to the hotel, but never been woken up by it in the normal, only ny noisy people at night. Also, a lot of smokers..

This hotel is absolutely AMAZING!! We were sad to go. The service, amenities, beach, etc exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to return. I highly recommend this hotel for families and couples. The beach service and location are perfect!! We walked the beach to the most incredible part of beach - stunning! And the other direction is just steps to downtown and shops, etc. this hotel was perfect!!

La mejor opción en Holbox. El hotel está muy bien ubicado! Tiene un club de playa a unos cuántos pasos, el personal es muy atento y amigable. Las instalaciones limpias y cómodas.

Nice place but they don’t clean the beach properly.

The ocean front was a plus. The view was beautiful. The view at night even more beautiful. We did have many issues with our room and staff. We had a problem getting into our room, our keys constantly failed and staff was not too concerned with that issue one young man even laughed at us. The supposed manager was useless come to find out she wasn’t the manager. Staff sat around on their phones. The day the real manager was onsite there was a complete change in staffs attitude. They were all working and extremely courteous and accommodating. We had to call several times for the AC to run. They cleaned but didn’t leave toilet paper or sufficient coffee and coffee supplies. The room was decent but could have been cleaner. I would not stay here again for the amount of money we paid.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, en muy buen estado las habitaciones, y el servicio es excelente, lo único malo es que les falta limpieza en la playa ya que hubo sargazo y el baño de la suite tiene una ventada que da a la terraza de la habitación de a lado.

Very nice hotel, we stayed for two nights. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. We will stay here again in the future.

The staff were very polite and helpful. However, the waiting time in the restaurant was extremely long. It could take 30-40 minutes just to get your food on the table. The property is very clean and well kept. The beach is very nice-no sargassum, and the ocean part is nice. It was neither too shallow nor too deep. Just perfect for adults and kids. I would suggest to improve menu choices. The breakfast was very modest, not much variety-almost no fruits, and 2 tiny slices of bacon with omelet. They had pizza in the menu but as it turned out they could not make pizza for some safety reason. So why to have it in the menu?! The food in the restaurant lacked flavor. We ended up only having breakfast in the restaurant, and had lunch and supper elsewhere for the last few days. The hotel has serious communication issues. They do not respond to your emails and phone calls. We booked our trip on Expedia and received a formal letter saying in case we have special event or preferences, we may contact the hotel. We had anniversary plans. We contacted the hotel twice through Expedia channel, and probably 3 times sent direct emails to the hotel. No response. When you call them, no one picks up the phone. I gave it 4 stars only because the staff (servers and reception) were very nice, and the hotel and beach were very clean. But it could be really rated as 3-3.5 stars just for the quality of food and wait time for food, also no reply to your emails or phone calls.

Los cuartos ocean view del segundo piso en los que nos hospedamos no tienen vista al mar.

LA HABITACION ESTABA BIEN, LIMPIA Y NUEVA, PEROOOOO, AL LADO ESTAN EN CONSTRUCCION, Y TOOOODOOOO EL DIA ESTABA RUIDOSOO, LO CUAL ME FUE IMPOSIBLE DESCANSAR, EL HOTEL EN GENERAL, COMPARANDO LOS OTROS ESTA BIEN !

El hotel está muy lindo, bien ubicado pero hay obra a lado de él, el ruido es de las 8 am a las 7pm. Y en especial en el cuarto que nos quedamos da exactamente a la obra.

Durante la estancia no hubo agua por toda una tarde ni agua caliente durante día y medio

The room was clean and beautiful. Great location, not far from dinning and shopping. Staff was very friendly. Food was great and the beach was wonderful. Traveled as a family with two little ones and they loved it.

The room was continuously loud day and night. The manager was unable to get us a reduced rate despite expressing our concerns. The line bright spot was Lisa at the front desk!

Vi är jättenöjda med vår vistelse. Personalen gör är väldigt serviceminded! Vill särskilt nämna Laura i restaurangen, hon ler alltid och är mån om dig som gäst. Vi hade först rum med egen pool men då poolen ligger precis vid vägen och uteplatsen inte har några stolar då tyckte vi inte att det var ett prisvärt alternativ, kan inte rekommendera det rummet. Vi fick byta till annat rum och blev då nöjda. Sängarna är tyvärr hårda så de kunde varit bättre. Som helhet är vi väldigt nöjda och skulle absolut kunna tänka oss att återvända. Ett sista tips, boka rum på andra eller tredje våningen om du inte vill ha insyn på rummet.

Muy lindo el hospedaje, con habitaciones muy amplias, limpias y cómodas. El personal muy amable y siempre dispuestos a orientar. Definitivamente si volveríamos y lo recomendamos precio, calidad, ubicación.

Air conditioner went out multiple nights. Made sleeping very challenging. Hotel is supposed to refund us one night.

Enrique the manager was amazing!! He went out of his way to welcome us. Helped set up everything so my room could be decorated for my birthday. It was a beautiful stay. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of in every single. It’s because of managers like him that make our stay so special and the reason we keep coming back. Also Gabino at the beach was extremely attentive, professional and helpful. Always with a smile and ready accommodate anything that we needed. The service at this hotel is as good as any Ritz, Le Blanc or Four Seasons. Maybe even better!! Thank you so much Enrique and Gabino for making our stay so fun and magical! ♥️✨💫

Der Service ist einfach wunderbar, es sind immer und überall außerordentlich liebe Mitarbeiter anzutreffen. Die Lage war für mich optimal, wer mehr Party und Nightlife sucht, der geht besser weiter ins Zentrum. Es ist alles innerhalb von 10Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Our stay was amazing. I went with my wife and 10 year old daughter. The hotel was perfect for our family. The staff were great and the hotel had everything we needed. The beach is one of the best, and you can see the sunset right on the beach. I look forward to our next time at Mystique.

We took a 5 day vacation to isla Holbox and stayed here. It was beautiful. The staff was very very nice and helpful with all of our requests if we had any. They gave us advice on where to eat, things to do and how to get there. The hotel itself was super clean and well kept. Our private pool was awesome. The only negative thing I would say is that we didn’t have hot water. It was warm/cold. But we had to take into account for being on an island and all the other people trying to shower and use hot water as well. Overall we will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit.

Holbox is great. The hotel, however, was a big disappointment. The general service is very poor - rooms are cleaned in the late afternoon, check out was terrible, there is no help to get taxis, directions etc. Each time we asked for something, eg new towels, clean up of our room etc., the staff would say “yes” but nothing would be done. The food at the hotel is very poor although the service in the restaurant is ok. Not a place where you want to have any meals. Only good thing about this hotel is the beautiful beach front and the overall location in Holbox. And the service at the beach area is also terrific.

Schöne Unterkunft zum Entspannen. Perfekt gelegen, da sehr ruhig und dennoch nah zum Zentrum. Sehr freundlicher Service.

The Hotel and staff were great. Locate right by the beach and within easy walking distance of the town. Second time staying here and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Our stay was great. Rooms were very nice, beach was beautiful with amazing sunsets. Quiet and outside of town but close enough for a ten minute walk. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful property right on the white sand beach., staff very nice friendly and helpful .. I just would suggest to get some fans in the restaurant to circulate the air and get rid of the flies., but other wise it was a very pleasant stay definitely will book again .

El hotel me gusto mucho, es pequeño pero esta muy bien administrado. Tiene un restaurant muy bueno, recomiendo el ceviche que tiene pulpo, es excelente y los chilaquiles. El staff es muy amable y en general muy limpio. Volveria a hospedarme aqui.
