I checked into this hotel on August 12th. I originally booked two nights, but because the pool water wasn't heated, I successfully canceled one night with the front desk on August 12th and changed it to one night. The check in process was good and staff was excellent but the elevator wasn’t working which made getting back and forth very difficult. They didn’t offer any compensation or upgrades which was very disappointing.

This hotel could do with some upgrades the water pressure was too low and the ice machine on the 2nd and 4th floors don’t work. The other issue was the elevator which was out of service completely during part of my stay and we had to take the stairs and then only one elevator was eventually working. However, I can’t say enough about the staff who were the absolute best especially Ms. Ruth who should be the poster child for what a great customer service person should be!!!!!!

Nice size room, but had trouble getting them to clean it. We stayed 4 nights and wanted it to be clean (new towels and sheets and empty garbage) after 2nd night, but they didn’t clean until after 3rd night when we asked repeatedly. Pool was too cold. Breakfast was the best part, amazing cinnamon rolls!

The pool was a nice warm temp to go into and enjoy but our stay there on June 27th and 28th. The elevators were not working. Our room was on the 4th floor!! Need i tell you anymore?!?!

When we entered the room we were a little surprised to see a torn window shade. The room smelled musty but otherwise seemed ok. We arrived later at night so we jumped right into bed once we were settled. After only about one minute something crawled on to my forearm. I killed whatever it was and compared it to a photo of a bed bug. The photo was a match. We packed up and headed to front desk. The two young employees at front the desk were very nice but said they couldn’t refund the room. They told us they would show the manager in the morning and they would get back to us. We stayed at a nearby Marriott that night and went back to the Holiday Inn the next morning to see about the refund. The manager claimed it was not a bed bug and refused to refund the room cost. They gave me back the bed bug that was squished to prices in a napkin. The whole episode was infuriating but funny at the same time. The manager my wife spoke with later that day was so unprofessional we actually were laughing. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

The lobby was clean and cool, breakfast area the same. The two rooms we had were HUMID, one of them very musty smelling. Even running the a/c didn't help. They were more humid than the outdoors at night. Breakfast was pretty good, but the only fresh fruit provided was a couple of bananas and some really, really old and awful apples. Overall better than average with comfy beds and baby crib provided.

Do not go. The pictures make it look newly renovated but the rooms are dank. When we got there one of our rooms was actually moldy! They gave us a new one but they were still dank and smelled musty. This is largely because there is no outtake fan in the bathroom so all the steam from the shower goes into the room. The breakfast was nice and the rooms were clean but it did not make it worth the price. Would not stay there again or recommend to others.

Room was very nice. Beds were comfortable. People above us were super noisy. Complained twice. Room phone did not work so i had to go down to the front desk, outlet in between the beds wasnt working either. Previous guest also left clothes in one of the drawers. Front desk person was very nice.

The walls and the floors above are not well insulated. You can hear the people above loud and clear. You can hear them walk and even talk. Not easy for sleep. Bring ear plugs for sleep!!!

We had a nice 4-day stay here. It was clean and the staff were courteous and responsive. The breakfast was quite ample and always fully stocked. I would have given it 5 stars, except that several of the electrical outlets didn’t work and there wasn’t any sound deafening between floors. We were awakened several times by the occupants above stomping around or dropping things.

Inexpensive and economical option for an overnight stay. Mattress was comfortable and decor was nice, but upstairs guests' clomping was constant all night and loud. Check-in was slow due to technological issues and one of our two rooms wasn't prepared when we arrived.

I could not check into this hotel that I booked for 4 nights through expedia, because the hotel had already resold the room that was already booked by us. Upon asking for a differebt room they told us that their was no other room availability, the front desk worker that came up after the first women who was trying to be helpful was very rude and negligent to accomadate or provide a refund despite already being charged over $600 dollars ahead of time, the property manager didn't approve to waive the cancellation fee or return our money. They have stupid policies. They kept our money and we had no room for our guests to stay for our wedding

Good: It was convenient to access. Rooms were clean and very spacious. Lots of countertop and storage space. Quiet, effective HVAC. Not as good: Check-in was incompetent. I reserved two rooms for our 4-person family through Expedia. One purchase, one confirmation number. Check-in clerk said she only saw one room listed. She could not do anything with the Expedia confirmation number. She had no suggestions to help. The lobby was empty and she had plenty of time to make the effort, but she didn't. My partner finally suggested that one room might be listed under the other adult guest's name, which solved the problem. I don't know whether it's the hotel's or Expedia's failure but it's absurd that both the rooms weren't linked to my name when I made the purchase.

I pre-paid for my stay and they asked for a credit card for a $50 deposit. I provided them one and they charge me for the room again and added the $50 deposit to it. They told me not to worry, it is only on hold, and it would be credited back to my account. Went to room to find that the room was not clean and went back to front desk and they apologized and provided another room. This morning, I received another charge for the room, and I called them immediately. They said they were cancelling the second charge while I was on the phone and the first, they would credit once they confirmed with Expedia as prepaid and check with them if I have not received a credit within 5 days. Never had an issue with prepaying and this is unacceptable as I now have to wait for the credit.

Staff are approachable and friendly. When I asked to clean the room though it was not on a cleaning schedule, they immediately responded and sent the crew to get the room cleaned. They also have supplies and office setup which helped us at the very last minute. Staff personally came and helped to print stuff for us

Holiday inn express in north Brunswick New Jersey was clean and comfortable. Loved that water got hot and stayed hot in the show with good water pressure. Rooms were well accommodating with coffee tea microwave and refrigerator. The hotel amenities gym and pool were a nice bonus. Breakfast didn’t open till 7am and I am usually up at 6am so had to wait but so happy for healthy options such as hard boiled eggs yogurt, fresh apples bananas, egg whites, turkey sausage and oatmeal. Beds were comfortable with both soft and firm pillows to choose. Loves the dark out curtains and walls were thick enough that you could not head any voices music or tv from other rooms. Will defiantly recommend.!

You need a rental car. Subway approx 20 minutes away. Breakfast had a lot of options and variety. I never saw the housekeeper during my stay. She dropped by on Thursday after checking in on Saturday. Overall it was a decent stay. Not a lot of things to see and do nearby.

The breakfast was a treat in the morning along with the very hospitable staff team from the front desk to the room cleaners. We had an amazing time with Holiday Inn Express in North Brunswick NJ. Everything was just perfect, the room, the service, cleaning and breakfast. They had every morning Gluten Free bagels and muffins and fresh eggs. I have celiac so it was great to have this wonderful breakfast. The hotel’s location was also very good, close to everything. We will definitely going back on our next trip!

Front desk very pleasant to deal with and expedient service to check in. Place was very clean and tidy. Rooms the same. Bed comfortable. Breakfast selection was pretty good. A little trouble keeping up with refilling some stuff. Garbage was overflowing. ( at least 2 patron’s i saw pointed that out and it stayed overflowing way to long.)

We reserved online while on a road trip passing through New Jersey. We booked about one hour before our arrival around 7:30 at night, looking forward to our stay as we were tired from a long day on the road. Upon arrival, the front desk staff person (very nice) found my reservation immediately and processed my credit card payment, however she had difficulty with completing the checkin process due to a technology glitch and could not complete the process because her screen kept freezing making checkin unsuccessful. She tried several times to complete process while I waited for a whooping 25 minutes to be given a room. She was very kind and apologetic, but said she could not give a room until her screen unfroze and couldn't guarantee how long it would take. I was no longer willing to keep waiting for it to work. She assured me that she would issue a refund as my payment was the only thing that did work. I finally gave up and left and went down the road to another hotel and got a lovely room. This hotel needs to fix this problem as it was extremely annoying and caused undo stress for all involved.

Breakfast was good, the only problem was that only one elevator was working and it took a long time to get the ride on the elevator. Water should be given as compliments everyday especially in the hot summer- no water fountain accessible either

The lady at check in and check out was very nice. However the men at the front desk- they couldn’t ever provide clean towels- very unhelpful. The breakfast was not great, better to just skip and get breakfast nearby. Upon arrival of our room- we found smooshed crackers all over the counter above the fridge. Luckily no bed begs were found- we checked. Could not get clean towels as mentioned during our 3 night stay. Only one elevator was working of the two, No coffee pot in the room only coffee was downstairs, would have been nice to not have to go downstairs just for coffee. There are other hotels in the area or areas nearby that I wished we checked out rather then staying at this property. I travel all the time and had higher expectations from his hotel. Cleanliness of crackers from someone prior is not acceptable to be left in a hotel room, it really made us questioned if our room was fully cleaned. Also carpet was dirty in our room.
