Great place to stay in Sorrento. Very clean. Breakfast was great, brought to the room each morning in the timeframe you pick (earliest was 8-8:30 so book activities after 9 to have breakfast). They let us park our motorcycle in the main lot at the front door which was really nice. Bed was comfortable. Water came out of the shower onto the floor but we put a towel along the bottom inside the shower and it helped lots. Dont leave food or candy on the counter or ants will come in, we only had ants when we left candy out. They cleaned the room and gave fresh towels every day. Good AC. Easy walk to ferry port and main area. Would recommend!

Conveniently located in the centre of Sorrento making it the perfect base to explore the Amalfi coast. The apartment is modern and clean with a continental breakfast served in the room. Very reasonably priced for the great location! Parking nearby made it easy for us to get around by car which comes with high price but this is normal for the area.

The room was nice but it was not the area shown in photos. No pool which was also shown and far from the center, was told we could leave our bags and explore for the day and once we were there we told we weren’t aloud or if we did it was at our own risk. Wasn’t very happy with the stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is not a traditional "hotel" but rather 4 apartments converted to very nice rooms. Our 2 rooms had balconies overlooking the garden with a view of a mountain. It was peaceful. Close to the main action but it had a neighborhood feel. Across the street was a fresh vegetable market, wine store, laundromat, bakery and a good market on the corner. What more can you ask for when traveling?! Would highly recommend this property. If you need immediate attention, coffee in the lobby, front desk attendant, this is not the place for you. Lisa, owner came in every morning with our breakfast and made our coffee!

Ein schönes kleines Guesthouse mit viel Liebe eingerichtet, jedes kleine Detail ist abgestimmt, hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Isa ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin! Danke für alles:) einen Nachmittag genossen wir im Schwesternhotel Melrose Relais, Isa hat dies organisiert und wir wurden dort genau so herzlich empfangen. This property is listed as a hotel, however; is more of a glorified hostel with private rooms. They have converted 1 apartment into 4 small rooms. The cleaner is wonderful and tries to make your stay amazing. The space is nice but there is a moisture / sewage issue where the bathroom has a musty/ outhouse smell. As the space was converted, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone’s conversations, alarms, toilets flushing etc. Additionally, there is a light that is motion censored at the armoire. If you need to use the washroom at night there is no way to turn off the light so you wake up your partner or baby with the bright light. Breakfast was good, coffee of your choice, bread of your choice and a juice. It is brought to you each morning unlike the photo where there is food layed out for you to choose. Each day you fill out a card with the amount, they were very generous. There is hotel construction outside which is very noisy. The space is very good walking distance to any amenities with a small grocery store with fresh produce, bakery, and laundry mat across the way. There is stated an elevator however it is very tiny, our stroller could not fit inside. My husband would carry it up the 2 flight’s of stairs each way. This was no issue for us however may be important for others. The room was very clean and bright: the patio is a nice touch and the black out blinds work extremely well. We had a nice stay but it was not at all what was listed / expected.

The property is located at a prime location walking distance within train station and ferry station- the location itself it’s a bit hard to find (it’s right opposite to a laundry store). Make sure you clarify checkin time with the host as it’s a guesthouse and not always having staff on site. But other than that, you’d get a lot for the price that you’re paying. This is a bed and breakfast more than a hotel and can be a bit tricky to find (go around the building to the back door in the parking lot). The owner is excellent at communicating and will answer very quickly any questions you may have. Mama is the cleaner and bringer of your breakfast and she is a joy! We really enjoyed this lovely facility.

Cute little place in a somewhat quiet area. Walking distance to all shops and restaurants. Friendly staff when checking in. Comfortable bed, decent sized room, great shower! Amazing, cozy experience. The facility was VERY clean and everyday cleaning was available. Great spot in the heart of Sorrento. My hosts were very kind. Breakfast was provided as well and is fresh. They make sure things are hot and ready to eat and delivery at your preferred time. Only thing was that the shower was leaking water. Netflix capability available on the TV. A bit difficult to find initially. Go around the back and up the gate. Beautiful view of other apartments outside.

Adorei me hospedar no Melrose. Muito confortável e limpo. Fácil acesso à estação para ir às cidades próximas. Banho quente, boa roupa de cama, bom café servido no quarto. A única sugestão que deixo é melhorar a vedação do box do chuveiro, pois o banheiro inundava de água.

It's a small pensione with 4 guest rooms in a residential apt building. A little off the beaten path but only about a 10-min (at most) walk to the center of Sorrento -- and as a result much less expensive than the properties right in town. My room was fabulous: spacious, clean, comfy, with a small balcony.

We had a wonderful stay at Melrose Sorrento. Great location from downtown as well as train station. Apartment is very well decorated and so clean. Breakfast was amazing and the only regret I have is not spending more time there!

We liked the room. It is clean and nice view of mountain like. Also, it is a good location, but who can walk…staff was very kind and pleasant. 😊

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is not a traditional "hotel" but rather 4 apartments converted to very nice rooms. Our 2 rooms had balconies overlooking the garden with a view of a mountain. It was peaceful. Close to the main action but it had a neighborhood feel. Across the street was a fresh vegetable market, wine store, laundromat, bakery and a good market on the corner. What more can you ask for when traveling?! Would highly recommend this property. If you need immediate attention, coffee in the lobby, front desk attendant, this is not the place for you. Lisa, owner came in every morning with our breakfast and made our coffee!

It's a small pensione with 4 guest rooms in a residential apt building. A little off the beaten path but only about a 10-min (at most) walk to the center of Sorrento -- and as a result much less expensive than the properties right in town. My room was fabulous: spacious, clean, comfy, with a small balcony.

The Melrose Sorrento was a great home base for me whilst traveling around the coast. It’s not a traditional hotel in terms of the check-in process. There were a few communication mishaps for my arrival, but it was easily worked out with a phone call. I missed a train in Naples, so ended up arriving later than planned, so had to communicate with the hotel about updated arrival time. The property is close to the train station and the center of everything. It’s 5 minute walk to the main square of shops and restaurants. My only note of concern for some travelers is to be mindful that this property is in an apartment building. It’s basically a converted apartment split into 4 rooms. If you’re a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. You can pretty much hear everything that’s going in with your neighbors and in the hallway. The free breakfast was good…cheese, pastries and my cappuccino was amazing! The actual room was lovely, smartly designed with a cute little balcony overlooking a small lemon grove. The bed was very comfortable too! It was a great place for sleeping, but if you have visions of sleeping in and having amazing window views, I’d reconsider. For me, it was great and I’d definitely return!

The lady didn’t speak English very well but she was very accommodating and was able to store our luggage safely for 1 day and also provided our breakfast the day before so that we could eat early and catch our 5:30 am train to Naples. The place was hard to find (we had to ask a local to help us). They need to put a large sign on the building instead of just the small Melrose label by the door buzzer to get into the building. The room was very clean, comfortable, quiet and safe. We would stay here again!

Melrose exceeded our expectations in Sorrento. The house keeper stayed a bit late to check us in and she constantly asked how we were doing and would bring us breakfast in bed. High praises to her. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The property is located at a prime location walking distance within train station and ferry station- the location itself it’s a bit hard to find (it’s right opposite to a laundry store). Make sure you clarify checkin time with the host as it’s a guesthouse and not always having staff on site. We made a mistake for not clarifying our checkin time correctly so got stuck in the lobby for a bit but the host was responsive and come over immediately to open the door for us! But other than that, you’d get a lot for the price that you’re paying. Isa served us with yummy complimentary breakfast everyday, the place is spotless and very clean, there’s cleaning service/new towel everyday, the place looks very new and the Ac works very well! Strongly recommend this place, esp for the price that you’d be paying! Thank you Isa for an amazing stay! :)

We were in contact with the property several times the day of checkin with our arrival time. We arrived at 1:30pm, check in was at 1:00pm however the room was not ready as they were doing a photo shoot?! Before even getting the room we were asked to pay the city tax immediately. We waited until after 2pm and inquired again and were told the room wouldn’t be ready for another hour (after 3pm). We were only in Sorrento for 1 night and were extremely disappointed as we had just travelled all day and wanted to get a shower and then head out for the evening. Definitely not appropriate to not have the room ready for checkin. Would not recommend.

Water came out of the shower onto the floor but we put a towel along the bottom inside the shower and it helped lots. Dont leave food or candy on the counter or ants will come in, we only had ants when we left candy out. They cleaned the room and gave fresh towels every day. Good AC. Easy walk to ferry port and main area. Would recommend!

Conveniently located in the centre of Sorrento making it the perfect base to explore the Amalfi coast. The apartment is modern and clean with a continental breakfast served in the room. Very reasonably priced for the great location! Parking nearby made it easy for us to get around by car which comes with high price but this is normal for the area.

The property was a 3 minute walk to the shopping, restaurants, and cafes. The place being off the main road made it a nice quiet place to stay. There were 2 entry door one with a key and one with a card, then the door to get into the room so yes very safe.

However we stayed here for four nights and if your just looking for somewhere to sleep, shower and then go out all day this is your place. This is a bed and breakfast more than a hotel and can be a bit tricky to find (go around the building to the back door in the parking lot). The owner is excellent at communicating and will answer very quickly any questions you may have. Mama is the cleaner and bringer of your breakfast and she is a joy! A clean and spacious room and bathroom.Friendly breakfast service in room each morning. Hotel is actually just a B&B in an apartment, but a convenient and quiet location. Easy walk from station and into the town. The pool which was advertised as having use of is at a distance! My main issue was that despite sending a message re my arrival time,there was only remote check in by telephone and text and the entrance was very hard to find. A video was eventually sent on Instagram...which I don't have. The information provided when booking stated that 'the front desk is open daily from 7.30am to 8.30pm.' I arrived just after 5pm and was not met, nor did I ever see anyone except the lady who brought breakfast and cleaned the room. I discovered the key to access the building by the kettle in my room. So not a very personal welcome, but actually I enjoyed the location and my stay of 3 nights

Infelizmente, nossa experiência no MelRose foi muito ruim. Estávamos em lua de mel e enfrentamos diversos transtornos. O local é difícil de encontrar, sem placa ou identificação visível. Na chegada, não havia ninguém para nos receber ou orientar, e precisamos contatar a proprietária para conseguir acessar a acomodação. O quarto e o banheiro têm bom tamanho, mas os problemas comprometeram completamente a estadia. Havia muitas formigas, inclusive próximas à cama, o que foi ainda mais grave porque tenho alergia. Além disso, o ar-condicionado pingava constantemente, deixando o chão molhado. Mesmo com temperaturas acima de 30 °C, precisávamos controlar o uso e colocar várias toalhas para conter a água. Entramos em contato diversas vezes com a proprietária, que dizia que “tentaria resolver”, mas nenhuma solução efetiva foi apresentada. Informamos que, caso os problemas continuassem, gostaríamos de cancelar o restante da estadia e procurar outro local, mas isso não foi devidamente considerado. Em vários momentos tivemos que limpar o chão e lidar com água e formigas por conta própria. Ressalto apenas a senhora responsável pelo café da manhã e limpeza, que foi muito simpática e prestativa. Não voltaríamos e não recomendamos.
