This is one of the best apartment hotels i have stayed in. The amenities were all top notch, the access was easy espaecially as my mother who is disabled was accompany me and it was very easy to get to our room. I will definitely be choosing Punthill Ivanhoe again.

Booked a secured underground carpark, was told upon check in that carparks had been booked out for a week and we would have to wait until someone left and park in one of the 15 provided street parks which meant sitting on the road for 45 minutes. We ended up parking 2 blocks away and having to move the car at 1am.

This clean and spacious apartment was very comfortable. Bed and the bathroom were great. Our room included a large balcony. Tea and Coffee were sparce, with two Coffee pods, and two tea bags, neither of which were normal tea. If I was staying any more than one night I would need to buy Coffee and real milk.

The internet is appalling, the best speed I could get was 9.2 Mpbs and you need around 20 Mpbs for anything to work. Managed to get onto YouTube but the lag was so bad that the video would stop and load every minute or so. I stayed there before roughly two years ago and the deterioration of the apartments was noticeable; the balcony was filthy with cobwebs and debris - looked like it hasn't been swept or washed in a long time. The door to get onto the balcony was so hard to open that I gave it away; no instant coffee, only two coffee pods for a two night stay; no tea towels; I will never stay here again, especially due to the superior competition in the area. Don't recommend at all.

The room was lovely and large but sadly noisy as l could hear people in the coradoors and children playing in another room. Was also disappointed there was no phone charging outlet in the walls. It did suit my needs as it was close to The repatriation hospital where l had to go the following day

This was my second stay at Punthill Ivanhoe. The apartment was nice, modern, light and perfect for my purposes (visiting relatives in Austin Hospital and nearby Macleod). Penty of food options down the hill in Burgundy Street. Or if you don't want to walk back up the hill, easy drop off location for Ubereats or other. Amenities good (washer/dryer was v handy for me). There is traffic noise (especially around peak hr) but I tuned this out quickly and easily. Definitely staying again when the need arises.

Fantastic queen room, with great room layout and a balcony. The only downside was when we returned at about midnight after a night out with friends, there was no hot water in the shower (nor the kitchen or bathroom taps), so we had to have cold showers, on a rainy and cold night. The hot water was back on in the morning. There are limited reception hours so we could not contact anyone. And when we went to check out in the morning, there was again no one at reception, so could not advise them of the situation

We booked through hotels.com. We had correspondence with the property via email as well as through hotels.com to organise a car park, check in times, etc. hotels.com “guaranteed” our booking. After a 2 hour drive with a 7 week old baby, on arrival they had no record of the booking, said because i booked through a third party website it was never going to be a guaranteed booking, they had no availability and couldn’t do anything. When shown the email sent from their hotel reception address, which they confirmed was definitely their email address, they said hotels.com must have sent it because they didn’t. They blamed it on a scam and said the phone call didn’t come from them, even with being their phone number listed on their business cards. Either a very clever scam with access to the properties email address and phone number and therefor not secure, or made a mistake and had no intention of admitting it.

There is NOWHERE to pull up and check in to this property, and its location means there is no direct way to get to it unless you're coming along Bell St from the west (which is likely the most common I guess), but if you miss the last minute swerve off into a dual lane one way street (which the locals do at 70km/h), you're either doing loops or a U-turn on one of the business suburban streets in Melb. When you do get that right, there are maybe 15 parks out the front (so you can imagine how quickly they're taken), and not enough space to pull up for even a minute (poor road design, or give up two of those parks for check in purposes guys.. NOT hard). Calling the property number at 4.45pm its diverted to a central number, and the support staff have no idea and just hung up on me (and I wasn't rude). Got through to a helpful staff member half an hour later when I finally got a park nearby, who tried to send me the check in link twice, but it didn't work. He ended up just letting me in thankfully. The room was nice enough, well specced, but the carpets definitely need a refresh.. visible stains are not a good look. Bed was comfy, probably too soft for most people. There is NOWHERE to pull up and check in to this property, and its location means there is no direct way to get to it unless you're coming along Bell St from the west (which is likely the most common I guess), but if you miss the last minute swerve off into a dual lane one way street (which the locals do at 70km/h), you're either doing loops or a U-turn on one of the business suburban streets in Melb. When you do get that right, there are maybe 15 parks out the front (so you can imagine how quickly they're taken), and not enough space to pull up for even a minute (poor road design, or give up two of those parks for check in purposes guys.. NOT hard). Calling the property number at 4.45pm its diverted to a central number, and the support staff have no idea and just hung up on me (and I wasn't rude). Got through to a helpful staff member half an hour later when I finally got a park nearby, who tried to send me the check in link twice, but it didn't work. He ended up just letting me in thankfully. The room was nice enough, well specced, but the carpets definitely need a refresh.. visible stains are not a good look. Bed was comfy, probably too soft for most people.
