We had an amazing stay in the Reykjavik Domes. It was such a cool place to stay. It was roomy, had a nice kitchenette, a private hot tub and very comfortable beds and bathroom.

The King Suite was amazing! We had the best nights sleep of the whole trip. Loved the private hot tube, robes and slippers. The champagne and macarons were a lovely touch! Thank you!

We loved the Domes! We stayed in the King Suite.The kitchen and bathroom made a major difference and I didn't feel cramped. We made some of our meals to save money and spend it on the sites. We enjoyed the mountain view from our bed. The wood burning stove is also a major bonus as we felt so cozy and warm. There was an unexpected gift awaiting us upon our arrival. And, we met the housekeeper who was so friendly and accommodating. We saw the Northern Lights twice from our hot tub and once through the big window, though it is a little glossy, making it hard to see. The parking is convenient, less than 2 minutes to your door. One word of caution if you are looking for a wilderness escape. . . you're not in the middle of the city, but you are in the suburbs with some light pollution. One of the benefits to the burbs is how close you are to gas stations, grocery stores, and other necessities. There are buses that run on the main route, which isn't far from the domes. I highly recommend that you give the Domes a try. They're a little pricey, but worth it!

I'd suggest to check Trip Advisor before booking. We stayed in the standard, it was okay and we had a nice time, it just absolutely wasn't worth a three-figure cost per night! The toilet and showers are a portacabin, as is the kitchen. Everything is tired, and literally dusty. Might be a dramatically better experience in the higher grade pods. Just not the standard we expected for the money and the impression we got from the website.

The Dome itself was very clean and the multiple heaters and fireplace kept the Dome comfy but it is on the property of a (possibly abandoned) activity center that includes mini golf, paintball, darts, etc and is in a somewhat isolated part of town (none of which was mentioned in the booking). The door to the shared showers did not open and conversely, the main door to the shared bathrooms did not actually lock. With all of that said, however, my main contention with the property is the security system in the Dome itself. Upon arrival, the Dome was supposed to be armed but it was not and despite multiple attempts of trying to arm the Dome while inside, I was unable to do so. Furthermore, while I understand this is meant to be a glamping experience, the booking made it seem as though there was an actual door to the Dome (it states “keys for the dome, shared eating area, shared bathrooms, and shared showers).

This was a bucket list night and we saw the Northern Lights! Absolutely one of our favorite nights on our trip and the hot tub was easy to use and a huge bonus. The fire was easy to start and kept us warm all night. We ran out of wood though and didn't realize until morning there was more accessible in the kitchen. Whoops! There was a small bottle of sparkling Asti so we each had a glass and they had a few little macaroons which was nice. Hardly a mini bar and hor de vours as advertised lol but we were happy with them and thought they were a nice touch. When we arrived we could not find the email with the passcode to get in and were able to call someone who helped us right away. Only thing we'd say is that the view was mostly city lights while we were expecting something a little more private, but we did have plenty of privacy from the other domes. A short fence on the right side of the property would be a great improvement! All in all, it was one of our favorite stays and we would recommend!

We weren’t quite sure about the place when we drove in, but once we were in done, Very cool place for sure. Great directions/instructions for self-checkin. Very Clean place, felt private in the domes. We weren’t sure how exactly to sort the showers though …seems like even when locked, if others had a key, they could get in???

The code entry for the door worked well. And hreyfill taxi service knows how to get you to and from the Domes and Reykjavik. Be sure to schedule with the taxi the night before you want to leave to avoid a wait.

We stayed on the 28th December 2024 for our son’s 13th Birthday. We stayed in the Hekla dome, and all we can say is WOW!!!!! The dome is amazing, the view is amazing, the experience was amazing. Our two kids (9 &13) loved the bunk bed and whilst cosy it wasn’t cramped even with four of us. The radio is a great addition to sit and listen to whilst playing cards or chess and watching the night sky. We spent a couple of hours in the hot tub both of an evening and first thing in the morning, relaxing, watching the sky and chilling out. Overall we had a fantastic experience and it really made our son’s birthday super special.

These domes are an awesome way to enjoy the ambiance of Iceland a stones throw from Reykjavik. On. A nice day I’m sure you can see the mountains and have a great view of the aurora. We were there in rainy foggy conditions, but that just made the domes seem more cozy. The hot tub was amazing in the cold Icelandic air, and the macarons and bubbles were a nice check in surprise!

If you want a fun romantic getaway this is the place. No TV makes you talk. Only negative was the winds were so bad the night we stayed it kept us up. But that is not property fault We loved the idea of the domes

Accommodation was first class, even down to the robes and good glassware. Had a minor problem with toilet, I emailed them and within hours they had it repaired and serviced the room. Top class service.
Accommodation was first class, even down to the robes and good glassware. Had a minor problem with toilet, I emailed them and within hours they had it repaired and serviced the room. Top class service.

We loved the Domes! We stayed in the King Suite.The kitchen and bathroom made a major difference and I didn't feel cramped. We made some of our meals to save money and spend it on the sites. We enjoyed the mountain view from our bed. The wood burning stove is also a major bonus as we felt so cozy and warm. There was an unexpected gift awaiting us upon our arrival. And, we met the housekeeper who was so friendly and accommodating. We saw the Northern Lights twice from our hot tub and once through the big window, though it is a little glossy, making it hard to see. The parking is convenient, less than 2 minutes to your door. One word of caution if you are looking for a wilderness escape. . . you're not in the middle of the city, but you are in the suburbs with some light pollution. One of the benefits to the burbs is how close you are to gas stations, grocery stores, and other necessities. There are buses that run on the main route, which isn't far from the domes. I highly recommend that you give the Domes a try. They're a little pricey, but worth it!

A couple of places will deliver food but you'd otherwise need to bring with you or have a car. The surrounding area is 'average' but it's fully disclosed in pictures if you review this beforehand and didn't impact my experience. The hotel staff were great with answering my calls when I had questions and taxi service was prompt when I booked this the night before. I ordered their most expensive package for my 5 year with my gf and they completely ruined it by giving me the wrong package.. truly disappointing for spending the what I did, on top of the already overpriced stay. Absolutely would not book this again and truly had a disappointing 5 year. They however did correct this after reaching out to multiple people and multiple times. Yet I still never received everything that was stated in the package… hosts have 0 communication between each other and the people on the property won’t help at all. Absolutely atrocious hosting in my opinion. Would never book again..

This was a bucket list night and we saw the Northern Lights! Absolutely one of our favorite nights on our trip and the hot tub was easy to use and a huge bonus. The fire was easy to start and kept us warm all night. We ran out of wood though and didn't realize until morning there was more accessible in the kitchen. Whoops! There was a small bottle of sparkling Asti so we each had a glass and they had a few little macaroons which was nice. Hardly a mini bar and hor de vours as advertised lol but we were happy with them and thought they were a nice touch. When we arrived we could not find the email with the passcode to get in and were able to call someone who helped us right away. Only thing we'd say is that the view was mostly city lights while we were expecting something a little more private, but we did have plenty of privacy from the other domes. A short fence on the right side of the property would be a great improvement! All in all, it was one of our favorite stays and we would recommend!

The dome was very nice, we liked the stove heater inside the dome. It was located in the city though - we thought it would be outside the city and it had a small older amusement park/putt putt golf next to it which was a little strange.

These domes are an awesome way to enjoy the ambiance of Iceland a stones throw from Reykjavik. On. A nice day I’m sure you can see the mountains and have a great view of the aurora. We were there in rainy foggy conditions, but that just made the domes seem more cozy. The hot tub was amazing in the cold Icelandic air, and the macarons and bubbles were a nice check in surprise!

The Dome itself was very clean and the multiple heaters and fireplace kept the Dome comfy but it is on the property of a (possibly abandoned) activity center that includes mini golf, paintball, darts, etc and is in a somewhat isolated part of town (none of which was mentioned in the booking). The door to the shared showers did not open and conversely, the main door to the shared bathrooms did not actually lock. With all of that said, however, my main contention with the property is the security system in the Dome itself. Love the atmosphere and the fire. The place is right near like an outdoor entertainment center so that was a little weird when trying to find the place. Everything was quiet and a great place to spend time with my husband. LOVED it. The only concern was the tent zipper getting stuck and difficult to close a little.

The King Suite was amazing! We had the best nights sleep of the whole trip. Loved the private hot tube, robes and slippers. The champagne and macarons were a lovely touch! Thank you!

What a beautiful place to end the trip!! So cozy and the hot tub was perfect to relax in before flying out the next day. This place seemed more marketed to the northern lights, which we were off season for that. We had a great view of the mountains and bay area, everything included was great. They check in was easy and they are great about sending directions way advanced incase you do have any questions.

The domes are very nice. The hot tub was great! Check-in was a little confusing and the few people there couldn’t help. I had to call to figure it out. Beds were comfy and robes too! WiFi didn’t work well it kept kicking me off or had barely a signal. Road conditions were okay a lot of pot holes to drive through. I would definitely stay again for the views and quiet comfort!!
The domes are very nice. The hot tub was great! Check-in was a little confusing and the few people there couldn’t help. I had to call to figure it out. Beds were comfy and robes too! WiFi didn’t work well it kept kicking me off or had barely a signal. Road conditions were okay a lot of pot holes to drive through. I would definitely stay again for the views and quiet comfort!!
