This is a well run functional hotel. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. It is clean and with a focus on eco recycling etc. The rooms are compact and somewhat Spartan. The major challenge is car parking, which can be difficult.

Great stay, lovely hotel and friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast choices and service. We stayed over the summer when the campus was very quiet so very limited choices for food and drink nearby. Lots of weddings at the hotel over the weekend but a top floor room at the back of the hotel meant we weren't disturbed. Recommended.

Location was great for the cricket Parking was poor as conference on and a wedding we had to park where we could then move the next morning Room spacious plenty of sockets and charging points Bed comfy, clean and had a good sleep Bathroom clean shower powerful and good temperature Breakfast had plenty of options but majority of cooked breakfast was sitting in the oil, we did not buy any the second day

Hotel, staff and food amazing. Only slight issue was locating the Electric charging points also no sign to say to a collect card from reception to use it. But once sorted there was no problem. Will definitely stay again

Places were really clean but there are lots of dirty marks on wall. Thought not quite a 4 stars I would say. Also the bath have wear and tear marks inside. WiFi is really good I must say and the beds are really comfortable. Had a good night sleep.

I love this hotel and these days it is my go to for my regular trips to Birmingham. I find it is a nice quiet place to stay. Everyone is very pleasant and friendly. I have to say on this trip though, the bathroom wasn't quite up to the cleanliness level that I have become used to at this lovely hotel. Check out there was a queue which is not great when under time pressure. But everyone has glitches and overall a lovely stay and I am back next month hopefully.

This is a very clean and modern feel. The beds were comfortable. The manager Kerri was exceptional and accommodating. The hotel is located on-campus, which makes walking easy. It's a quick Uber to many wonderful restaurants and shopping in Harborne. Breakfast was consistently tasty and with all the best options.

A very pleasant stay. We have stayed before, so we know what to expect. But we had a particularly good stay this time. Service was very good indeed, and the room was spotlessly clean, as always. We will be coming back, I am sure, as our son is at the University, and the hotel is very convenient if we are seeing him.

Very pleasant hotel. Clean, modern and with everything you need on site. Didn't use the restaurant but the bar area was good. Room was a little on the small side but that was absolutely fine for me as a solo guest. Nice amenities in the room including bottled water and biscuits. The TVs have a built in chromecast which is great so you can watch your netflix etc on the TV from your device. Staff all very friendly and welcoming.

Great hotel and stay, deducted a star as the heating in the room was very temperamental. It kept shutting off and I was either too hot or too cold throughout the night. I believe it may be a system issue as I was there last month and same issue.

The hotel was nice but the walls between the rooms are very thin you can hear people from next door even though they were not being loud and you can hear anyone talking or walking in the corridors

The hotel is clean and modern. Unfortunately on the last two occasions we have stayed there, it has hosted large wedding parties, with accompanying music and noise until midnight, making it difficult or impossible to sleep. The hotel needs to decide if it’s a party venue or a conventional hotel where guests can relax.

We are platinum members & this hotel was advertised as giving hotels.com benefits. We were treated poorly on arrival when we asked for our food & drinks voucher. Further when the voucher didn’t match the advertised benefit we were told we were wrong. Same happened the next day. Eventually the more detailed wording was checked & money was refunded to us. Tried to get a coffee but the bar was shut. We were told to get a coffee in the restaurant but restaurant staff said we have to pay £14.95 for each coffee as they could only sell coffee with breakfast Not like other hotels.com properties Whole thing felt like a rip off

We had a fantastic stay at Edgbaston Park Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful, making us feel welcome right away. They kindly allowed us to check in early without any issue, which made our trip much more relaxed. The hotel itself is clean and modern, with great facilities - having gym access during our stay was a real bonus. Overall, a brilliant experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Beware - Expedia confirmation shows 11am for check out. Hotel insists that it’s 10am, but didn’t tell us that or that the water to the entire property would be shut off at 10am. Couldn’t shower, wash or even brush teeth before being asked to leave the room. Staff terrible, offered no help and told me that I should have known the check out time - they wanted to charge me for a bottle of water to at least be able to brush our teeth. A total disgrace!

Had booked two Feature King rooms for our annual family meet-up. It was our third time at the Edgbaston Park hotel and things have been very good in the past. But on this occasion we were greeted with the news that the rooms that had been booked were unavailable (no reason given). We were then told that luxury rooms were available and we could be switched to them, the price would be halved and we'd get a complimentary drink as a an apology. Despite the disappointment of a rather less-special stay, we're British in our stoicism, and took them up on their offer, which seemed fair. But the rooms we were given were their standard, not luxury. It looks like the reduced price was pretty-much rack-rent for that type of room. And the free drink was a very small (literally) token of an apology. When we got back on Saturday night the place was heaving with wedding guests from a do at the hotel. And with several folk who had just arrived and found no room to go to, despite being booked in - so, I guess we weren't as unfortunate as them. Points at a rather cavalier attitude to fulfilling their part of the room-for-money equation. Pretty fundamental stuff... So, next year, we've booked somewhere else. A pity, because the staff are generally really nice and the place is very up-together.

I was reassured last time I stayed that Hotels.com VIP benefits would be provided and that the mistakes during my last stay related to poor training. However during this stay, the hotel applied the same exclusions on the 20% discount voucher and did not upgrade me despite my platinum status and ample room availability. In my experience, other Hotels.com hotels honour their deals & provide services consistent with their advertising. On querying twice, I was told that Expedia customers keep getting it wrong

Room gloomy but clean. Breakfast first day - horrible - grey greasy bacon, sausages didn’t look cooked and fried eggs very unappealing. Limited croissants and pastries. Orange juice - not freshly squeezed but reconstituted. Overall disappointing but next day breakfast improved - bacon and sausages properly cooked and crisped, still insufficient pastries and croissants and limited fruit for fruit salad which included tinned mandarin oranges. Had a ham sandwich in bar which was very fatty and by the time I’d removed the fat, there wasn’t much ham. Evening - had a chicken Katsura curry which was very basic - no accompaniments just curry and rice and very bland.

The guy on reception couldnt do enough for.me very helpful However the restaurant was a real let down Waied over an hour for food about 5 people in therw very empty while other people were served to finally be given someone elses order i just walked out very disappointed

Great location for the university and hospitals. Nice grounds around the hotel. Decent breakfast and WiFi. Difficult to connect a console to the TV, but not impossible.

The menu in the 1900 restaurant was awful and overpriced. Service for basic drinks and food in an empty restaurant took ridiculously long. On complaining the waitress apologised and said they were extremely busy....the restaurant had guests on only 2 other tables out of about 40...ridiculous

The hotel is modern and our Executive room was very spacious and comfortable. The Reception staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful and in general there was a pleasant vibe around the place. One exception we found was breakfast on the first morning where we had the feeling that it was being run more for the benefit if the staff than the guests - closing one of the two functioning coffee machines 30 minutes before the end of service is so obviously asking for trouble and when that duly occurred so there was no way of getting coffee there was no word of apology, just a firm command to be patient. Food was good and bar prices and quality fine. Overall it's a very nice place to stay but it clearly favours guests who book direct which feels uncomfortable when you've booked through an online site. Access and parking are a little weird (Google maps direct you to a multi-storey when there are lots of spaces in a car park right next to Reception) but worked fine for us. We enjoyed our stay.

Parking was stress free (and free). Check in was quick and friendly. The hotel and grounds were really well kept and the outside seating was just like being abroad (yes, the weather helped) especially when we had a light breakfast brought out to us. We will definitely return especially as it was an ideal base for our Edgbaston Stadium visit.

I’ve stayed here a few times now and it’s always great. The staff are lovely and the rooms are good. Highly recommend. There is free parking on site and it’s quiet at night so no worries about sleeping well.
