This is not the traditional type of big, luxurious Japanese onsen hotel but it’s new, relaxing, airy and chic. In room bath is great with amazing view from the room. Food (Japanese western fusion) is good and staff is friendly and helpful. There is a noodle bar which opens until late and is impressive for a hotel of this scale. The overall design is modern and chill. It’s a good place for urban getaway. The neighborhood is very quiet too. Outdoor onsen water is not hot enough which is worth improving. There is a notice which says that the bath may not be hot enough because of the cold temperature but winter around Lake Toya has always been like this so it’s not a good excuse.

We stayed at the WE Toya as our home base for a Rusutsu ski trip. It was fabulous. The onsen was so lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. We never ate at the restaurant for dinner, but the breakfast buffet was super. The rooms are very large and the one time the onsen was closed for cleaning, we used the balcony tub and it was delightful. We would definitely stay here again!

Spacious room with fantastic lake view. Outdoor bathtub was great as you can see the peaceful lake view under beautiful sunset. Unfortunately, at night time, you may have to stay with the little insets if you still choose to bath outside 😂

This onsen hotel is not in the main area on the southern shore of Lake Toya. It is associate with a small sleepy village with limited tourist infrastructure support. But the hotel itself does pretty much everything and it seems very new (probably built or refitted and renovated well after 2010). They have a decent shuttle service between themselves, the main onsen area on the south side of Lake Toya, and the Lake Toya JR Hokkaido train station. Their included breakfast is pretty good and high quality. I actually didn’t try dinner there and realized I probably should have and it was the best option certainly for the area. The onsen area is quite modern with a nice outdoor pool looking out on to nature. In addition all room have an outdoor balcony hot tub. So in a way you really don’t need to go to the onsen. I went to the onsen around 6-7 am and I was the only one there. It seems like I was traveling during the off season and it seems like most tourists didn’t really know about this area of Lake Toya and the hotel. It was so serene being in the outdoor pool onsen as well as the balcony hot tub. Quiet sleepy village, few tourists, few cars making the trip around the lake. I can’t imagine it being better (or it must worse), in the busier onsen area or southern region of Lake Toya.

The hotel looks absolutely stunning, the window is beautiful, you can see the whole lake view. It looks like a painting. The food is amazing, I told the hotel that I don’t eat fish and they were able to offer me alternatives. There is one outdoor onsen and one indoor, both are stunning. But, as an onsen hotel, there is not much to do within the hotel nor around the hotel. I didn’t know there is Omakase option until the day I leave, I hope the staff told me about it.

view and villa was spectacular, but their service waqs poor, lack of staff and inflexibility. the rooms also have sink bugs (we killed 3) around so pest control is needed. the villa was luxurious but the villa is away from the main building so villa guest are on their own pretty much with zero support. the onsen is also in main building so u have to drive to get there or walk in the snow. veryall value for money (given its 1000$ USD a night...im not sure its value for money is there...maybe 600USD / night more like it.

高台の高層階から望む、洞爺湖へ開けた眺望は素晴らしかったです。 客室バルコニーの露天風呂はメッシュフェンスのみだった為、入浴する勇気は無く。もう少し民家に対して目隠しがあれば…と思うと残念。 大浴場の露天風呂も、きっと外から裸が見えるのだろうな…と諦めと覚悟で湯船に浸かりました。 しかし、ロケーションと眺めと浴槽の設計は本当に素晴らしく、光り輝く水面に体を浸しながらワクワクドキドキする開放的な入浴体験でした。 朝風呂もお薦めです。 内装と増築を織り混ぜたリノベーションでの変貌ぶりは驚きました。 ただし、お部屋のクォリティに比して、夕食とスタッフの接客が残念でした。 夕食は9000円のコースなので期待しましたが、、可もなく不可もなくもうひとつでした。 スタッフの方々への印象は、食事の時間だから余計にだらしない身なりとボソボソとした話し方が気になりました。辛辣な口コミを書くのは初めてですが非常に勿体ない。 金額は高すぎる印象です。 宿泊代がそれなりに高いので、もう少し洗練されたサービスへ変わっていくことを期待します。

고요한 we hotel에서 잘 쉬고 잘먹고 왔습니다. 눈이 많이 오고 인프라가 적은 곳이어서 걱정이 조금 있있었는데 친절한 직원분들과 깨끗한 객실에서 맘 놓고 잘 쉬었어요. 특히 조식과 석식시간이 아주 편안하게 제찰 식재료로 식사할수 있어서 아주 좋았습니다. 3일동안의 저녁식사를 하는동안 메뉴가 겹치지 않게 신경써주신 부분도 너무 감사했어요! (우엉스프가 너무 맛있어서 또 생각납니다^^) 다음에 따듯한때 다시 방문하고 싶습니다.

규모는 작지만 너무너무 깨끗하고 룸의 청결도나 인테리어도 훌륭했어요. 뷰도 너무 좋고 음식도 맛있습니다. 직원들도 매우 친절합니다. 온센탕이 너무 멋졌고 깨끗해서 맘에 쏙 들었어요. 토야호 중심에서 조금 떨어져 있지만 조용히 쉬기에는 최고 입니다.

식사가 일본식일줄 알았는데 일본까지 가서 양식이라서 놀라웠고 룸안에화장실이 분리되어있지 않은게좀 이용에불편행ㅎ습니다

Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights (2 rooms) in July. Pro: beautiful hotel, great views, good breakfast (didn’t eat dinner there as the menu is not to our liking) Con: as mentioned by other guests, the room is only suitable for couples. There is no hanging rack in the shower room so there is no way to dry and dress yourself without ‘exposing’ yourself. Fortunately we read the reviews and brought our own hooks to stick to the shower room wall. A simple permanent fix and i don’t understand why can’t the hotel do something about it. The design of the basin tap is also quite stupid. The tap is so close to the bottom of the sink that you even have to tilt the glass to fill water. The nearest convenient store is a 5 mins drive away. But it is up slope and very dark at night. Fortunately we are driving so not an issue. But will be a pain if going on public transport.

The design of the basin tap is also quite stupid. The tap is so close to the bottom of the sink that you even have to tilt the glass to fill water. The nearest convenient store is a 5 mins drive away. But it is up slope and very dark at night. Fortunately we are driving so not an issue. But will be a pain if going on public transport.

This onsen hotel is not in the main area on the southern shore of Lake Toya. It is associate with a small sleepy village with limited tourist infrastructure support. But the hotel itself does pretty much everything and it seems very new (probably built or refitted and renovated well after 2010). They have a decent shuttle service between themselves, the main onsen area on the south side of Lake Toya, and the Lake Toya JR Hokkaido train station. Their included breakfast is pretty good and high quality. I actually didn’t try dinner there and realized I probably should have and it was the best option certainly for the area. The onsen area is quite modern with a nice outdoor pool looking out on to nature. In addition all room have an outdoor balcony hot tub. So in a way you really don’t need to go to the onsen. I went to the onsen around 6-7 am and I was the only one there. It seems like I was traveling during the off season and it seems like most tourists didn’t really know about this area of Lake Toya and the hotel. It was so serene being in the outdoor pool onsen as well as the balcony hot tub. Quiet sleepy village, few tourists, few cars making the trip around the lake. I can’t imagine it being better (or it must worse), in the busier onsen area or southern region of Lake Toya.

Good size for triple bedder. Nice and quiet. Cons are No hook for hanging clothes or towel in bathroom except the bar which outside there door. We needed to hang a bag to contain our clothing inside while showering. Tap at basins are very low, when one needs to fill up flask, have to do it with shower head inside bathroom.

高台の高層階から望む、洞爺湖へ開けた眺望は素晴らしかったです。 客室バルコニーの露天風呂はメッシュフェンスのみだった為、入浴する勇気は無く。もう少し民家に対して目隠しがあれば…と思うと残念。 大浴場の露天風呂も、きっと外から裸が見えるのだろうな…と諦めと覚悟で湯船に浸かりました。 しかし、ロケーションと眺めと浴槽の設計は本当に素晴らしく、光り輝く水面に体を浸しながらワクワクドキドキする開放的な入浴体験でした。 朝風呂もお薦めです。 内装と増築を織り混ぜたリノベーションでの変貌ぶりは驚きました。 ただし、お部屋のクォリティに比して、夕食とスタッフの接客が残念でした。 夕食は9000円のコースなので期待しましたが、、可もなく不可もなくもうひとつでした。 スタッフの方々への印象は、食事の時間だから余計にだらしない身なりとボソボソとした話し方が気になりました。辛辣な口コミを書くのは初めてですが非常に勿体ない。 金額は高すぎる印象です。 宿泊代がそれなりに高いので、もう少し洗練されたサービスへ変わっていくことを期待します。

This is not the traditional type of big, luxurious Japanese onsen hotel but it’s new, relaxing, airy and chic. In room bath is great with amazing view from the room. Food (Japanese western fusion) is good and staff is friendly and helpful. There is a noodle bar which opens until late and is impressive for a hotel of this scale. The overall design is modern and chill. It’s a good place for urban getaway. The neighborhood is very quiet too. Outdoor onsen water is not hot enough which is worth improving. There is a notice which says that the bath may not be hot enough because of the cold temperature but winter around Lake Toya has always been like this so it’s not a good excuse.

I’m very disappointed with this hotel. Both dinner and breakfast were poor in quality and taste — definitely not worth the price for one night. In addition, the service attitude was bad. The staff simply placed the food on the table without explaining what it was, and didn’t say a single word throughout the whole meal. Is this really the standard of service in the hotel? Not recommended!!

We stayed at the WE Toya as our home base for a Rusutsu ski trip. It was fabulous. The onsen was so lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. We never ate at the restaurant for dinner, but the breakfast buffet was super. The rooms are very large and the one time the onsen was closed for cleaning, we used the balcony tub and it was delightful. We would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel with great view and service! Unfortunately the location isn’t that great, about 15-30mins drive away from the main attractions. Staff were amazing though! Go all way out to fulfil our meals needs. 5 stars for the front desk and kitchen staff!

view and villa was spectacular, but their service waqs poor, lack of staff and inflexibility. the rooms also have sink bugs (we killed 3) around so pest control is needed. the villa was luxurious but the villa is away from the main building so villa guest are on their own pretty much with zero support. the onsen is also in main building so u have to drive to get there or walk in the snow. veryall value for money (given its 1000$ USD a night...im not sure its value for money is there...maybe 600USD / night more like it.

位置有點偏遠，適合自駕遊入住。碰巧晚上洞爺湖有煙花，需要駕車20-30分鐘才到達觀賞地點。房內有溫泉，設計特別適合打卡。晚餐是fine dining路線，有別其他溫泉酒店。美觀亦美味。㕑師跟接待的員工溝通上有點問題，入住時已告知兩位不吃魚生，其中一碟魚生已換上天婦羅也十分美味。最後的親子飯接待的待應告知已換成鷄及鷄蛋飯，結果還是魚子魚生飯。

Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights (2 rooms) in July. Pro: beautiful hotel, great views, good breakfast (didn’t eat dinner there as the menu is not to our liking) Con: as mentioned by other guests, the room is only suitable for couples. There is no hanging rack in the shower room so there is no way to dry and dress yourself without ‘exposing’ yourself. Fortunately we read the reviews and brought our own hooks to stick to the shower room wall. A simple permanent fix and i don’t understand why can’t the hotel do something about it. You need a transport to get around. There is only 1 small resturant within walking distance if you are not planning to have all yoir meals in the hotel. The nearest dining area is about 20mins drive from the hotel. Oversall it is a very beautiful hotel with large space.

Have some of the most amazing and tranquil views imaginable of the lake. This hotel is away from the main town but offers a shuttle several times through the day and it is only a 10 minute ride highly recommend taking a ferry to the island in the middle of Lake Toya. The beds were super comfortable, and the food was traditional Japanese, which is not my favorite, but was good quality and generous. The staff were very friendly, but English was somewhat difficult for them. This was a great location to beat the heat that we had experienced in Tokyo and Kyoto, as it was unusually hot for June this visit we hiked around the island circumference which took about 2 1/2 hours. The water was really nice and I could see swimming there, but we just didn’t bring bathing suits. We learned from our relatives who live here that you can get pretty good food from 711 like these rice, seaweed wraps and things like that and green tea so those are perfect snacks to have for lunch or too tied one over Between meals. The shuttle stops right at the 711 so that is convenient. I know it sounds ridiculous to Americans, but the 711 in Japan is a lot better than America.

The overall design is modern and chill. It’s a good place for urban getaway. The neighborhood is very quiet too. Outdoor onsen water is not hot enough which is worth improving. There is a notice which says that the bath may not be hot enough because of the cold temperature but winter around Lake Toya has always been like this so it’s not a good excuse.
This is not the traditional type of big, luxurious Japanese onsen hotel but it’s new, relaxing, airy and chic. In room bath is great with amazing view from the room. Food (Japanese western fusion) is good and staff is friendly and helpful. There is a noodle bar which opens until late and is impressive for a hotel of this scale. I’m very disappointed with this hotel. Both dinner and breakfast were poor in quality and taste — definitely not worth the price for one night. In addition, the service attitude was bad. The staff simply placed the food on the table without explaining what it was, and didn’t say a single word throughout the whole meal. Is this really the standard of service in the hotel? Not recommended!!

고요한 we hotel에서 잘 쉬고 잘먹고 왔습니다. 눈이 많이 오고 인프라가 적은 곳이어서 걱정이 조금 있있었는데 친절한 직원분들과 깨끗한 객실에서 맘 놓고 잘 쉬었어요. 특히 조식과 석식시간이 아주 편안하게 제찰 식재료로 식사할수 있어서 아주 좋았습니다. 3일동안의 저녁식사를 하는동안 메뉴가 겹치지 않게 신경써주신 부분도 너무 감사했어요! (우엉스프가 너무 맛있어서 또 생각납니다^^) 다음에 따듯한때 다시 방문하고 싶습니다.

古い老人施設をリノベしたホテル 内装は頑張って綺麗にしたけど 外観が残念過ぎで 着いた時点でテンションだだ下がり 一泊1人4万はどうだろう？ 外国人なら安いのかもだが 日本人にとってはコスパ悪い ただ夕食は結構良かった（特に野菜）し ドリンク類も安かった しかし朝食は残念過ぎ 今どきビジネスホテルでも 余程良い物が出る

The hotel looks absolutely stunning, the window is beautiful, you can see the whole lake view. It looks like a painting. The food is amazing, I told the hotel that I don’t eat fish and they were able to offer me alternatives. There is one outdoor onsen and one indoor, both are stunning. But, as an onsen hotel, there is not much to do within the hotel nor around the hotel. I didn’t know there is Omakase option until the day I leave, I hope the staff told me about it.

Have some of the most amazing and tranquil views imaginable of the lake. This hotel is away from the main town but offers a shuttle several times through the day and it is only a 10 minute ride highly recommend taking a ferry to the island in the middle of Lake Toya. The beds were super comfortable, and the food was traditional Japanese, which is not my favorite, but was good quality and generous. The staff were very friendly, but English was somewhat difficult for them. This was a great location to beat the heat that we had experienced in Tokyo and Kyoto, as it was unusually hot for June this visit we hiked around the island circumference which took about 2 1/2 hours. The water was really nice and I could see swimming there, but we just didn’t bring bathing suits. We learned from our relatives who live here that you can get pretty good food from 711 like these rice, seaweed wraps and things like that and green tea so those are perfect snacks to have for lunch or too tied one over Between meals. The shuttle stops right at the 711 so that is convenient. I know it sounds ridiculous to Americans, but the 711 in Japan is a lot better than America.

Cleanliness: Private outdoor Onsen: The tub is full of visible mould at base and corners. Lots of spider webs and lots of huge red spiders (at least 5) dangling on the ceiling. We didn't use or even go out throughout our stay, though the view is a spot on! Public Onsen: Quiet. Yet cleanliness is not detailed. Water scum stains on the glass, a little mouldy smell too. The Room: The corner protection of our bed came off every time we walked by, they doesn’t stick properly anymore yet no one change them. Wonder how their housekeeping do their work and how can they put guest in room like that? The floor of the shower had visible repair mark. That was so poorly done and doesn’t match with the price tag of the room. Food: We chose half board. Bfast is minimal yet fresh. Dinner is surprisingly good, esp Shabu Shabu. Service: Super good. They speak softly, ambience is quiet. Attentive. Even the hotline staff is helpful. They make up the bad experience from the scary spider and poorly maintained room. Parking: Ample space. The hotel is not at busy area, a little up the hill facing Toya Lake, we don't mind cuz we drive, we prefer the quietness. They offer free shuttle to Toya town and firework pier etc, which is ard 15 mins drive.
