Excellent clean rooms and friendly staff. Clean fitness center.

We had the warmest welcome at check-in. Blake was kind, warm and friendly, and really made us feel welcome. The room (two queen beds) was quite small with no closet but the design of the room was efficient with a modern feel—for instance, there was a red pole with hangers in one corner and plenty of aesthetic hooks to hang small bags, etc. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The gym was great! For cardio choices: a Peloton bike (don’t need a subscription to use it if you have other bike workouts you do), two high-quality treadmills, and a high-quality elliptical/cross trainer machine. There was a rack of dumbbells with pairs starting at 10-lbs through 50-lbs. There were also kettle bells, medicine balls, exercise bands, a pull-up bar, a workout bench, foam rollers, one plyo box, and a yoga ball. There was enough space to do a floor workout with room for doing moves like burpees and skaters, etc. We appreciated the water filtration fountain in the lobby for refilling water bottles. There was also a water bowl for dogs along with complimentary dog treats! Plus a great pool table in the lobby! Breakfast included a spot for making pancakes, as well as pre-made scrambled eggs, oatmeal with toppings, a selection of cereals (Cheerios, fruit loops, Raisin Bran, etc), vanilla yogurt, and pastries. We were surprised there were no fruit options, not even bananas. Overall a great spot for a quick overnight in Amarillo.

This is a fun hotel, the pool table in the lobby is always a hit. The rooms are clean.

Eclectic feel. Very efficient. Clean. Shower/body wash/haircare/soap all very nice. Real butter, not margarine in breakfast line up. Great coffee. Nice ice set up. Pure filtered water available. Safe and convenient location.

This was my first time staying at a Tru Hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the amenities. The staff were pleasant, ample parking, clean rooms, a work out room, and games in the first floor. I would not hesitate to stay again at Tru property again based on this experience.

The property was nice and clean and the breakfast was okay. There needs to be a larger covered drive because it was raining as we were leaving so we got wet loading the car. Also, the lobby was leaking through the windows and under the back doors. The staff was doing their best to clean it up. Overall, a good stay.

No swimming pool, just wasn't anything special about the place

I never do online reviews but wow. This place. It was in rough shape! Clearly a rebranded older property and I just thought Hilton had higher standards. The staff was very nice and efficient or I would’ve given one star. My room smelled BAD, there were hairs all over it, and the shower was scummy old and brown. The TV would glitch and freeze after 5 minutes. The elevator shuddered so bad that people got scared and grabbed the walls. They claimed to have a “gourmet market” and it was Doritos, pop tarts, cup of noodles, and a bunch of beer. Since I was starving I opted for the noodles, but then the microwave didn’t work. Again, the staff was very nice but it’s clear Hilton bought a dated old property and did an incredibly budget upgrade, and it is just nasty. I have pretty low standards but dang- this place was really disappointing. Never again. Makes zero sense that it was rated highly!

Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness and attention to detail was lacking in the room. The shower had several hairs in it. The hand soap was empty and the shower contained two conditioners instead of shampoo and conditioner. The floor mat was at the end of its life and needed to be replaced because it was threadbare.

Spotless room. Courteous staff.

Staff are friendly. The bathroom shower was dirty and bathroom smell like mold. Lots of noise, could hear neighbor’s TV all night.

The property was fairly new, but the cleaning came up short. There was several strands of black hair around the shower drain, and it wasn't from my wife or I as we don't have black hair.

Stay two days and they didn't clean the room and didn't take more clean towels.

Smelled like urine. Room had white substance splattered on the wall. Some electric outlets did not work.

Very convenient from the highway. Lots of eating options around the area too. We just didn’t like how cramped the room felt for 3 of us or how we could hear the other guests in their rooms next to ours.

Check-in did not start with a hello or welcome but just a request to see my drivers license. No mention to enjoy my stay just a comment about the time for breakfast. Front desk seemed very indifferent to being welcoming. Hallways need to be vacuumed. Room was clean but is very basic. No microwave or coffee maker in room. Small fridge. Coffee and hot water in lobby barely warm. Later I left my room and found a dog roaming the hallway and it had left a surprise on the carpet. I reported it to the front desk and she stated yes she knew but when she looked earlier the dog was not there. I told it was there now and again no response as if it would be resolved. Upon returning another guest said they would take the dog to their room and call the front desk and that guest cleaned up the mess. That was nice of them but again the front desk seemed to be I different to resolving the issue. Breakfast very basic and limited selection. Good location but based on the front desk attitude and the room not having coffee maker at minimum I will pass on in the future.

The mattress was extraordinarily uncomfortable.

Tv was so dim we couldn't watch it. No resolution. Very under staffed. Shower door wouldn't close all the way causing water to spew out on floor.

I thought our room was small. As I am sure you are aware, the shower door design leaves a very strong potential of water leaking onto the floor. We were told that would be a $25 charge put on for any essentials we used in the room and would be reimbursed when we left. What essentials? Not even a coffee maker in the room or a closet to hang our clothes.

Heard a swishing noise all night - bed was comfortable - one night stay on the way to Flagstaff

Room is clean and comfortable. We always love when the rooms are updated to where we can stream Netflix.

Hotel and staff were great. Bed was awful, so hard and uncomfortable.

Nice beds, room was clean, shower leaked, no TV remote, highway noise can be loud.

Hotel was nice, however we had two dogs in the room next to us and one across the hall that were having a barking contest. At that point it didn’t matter what the room or service was like.

Waiting until a desk person arrived

Typical Hilton brand clean, comfortable, but a no frills hotel at least for Hilton. Newer well maintained building in a quiet, safe area with free parking. Good price, comfortable beds, quiet…great for a one night stay while traveling down I-40. Best part of my stay was the lady at the front desk, kind, sweet, gave me a couple Tylenol from her purse when I discovered they ran out in their vending area.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Girl at front counter was about rude like I was intrupting her and the other girl working. Breakfast was good. I would definitely stay again

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Tommy who checked us in was absolutely great The space is bright, clean and comfortable.

The computer system was glitching when I arrived and a line had formed for check in. One staff member to serve Friday evening check in. Doing the best she could, no doubt.

Stayed here August 11, 2025. Checked in and was given a room on the fourth floor, the minute I opened the door and went into the room it smelled like poop so bad, I looked around, could not find where it was coming from. I went back downstairs, the girl apologized and gave me another room, was told the manager would call me, he never did. In the next room they gave us, the sink in the bathroom drained slowly and no shampoo was in the dispenser also the blankets on the beds were dingy. When I checked out I told the person at the counter about the discrepancies in the room and he just said oh, ok. No apology, it was like why are you telling me this. I was so disappointed in how bad the rooms were, I stayed at this hotel about a year ago, it was much better then. I do not recommend staying here, I rarely say this, but I cannot recommend this hotel.

Some water damage in the bathroom. The surrounding property is dirt lots with lots of weeds and garbage. The area around the hotel is clean and well-kept. The vacant lots around it are bad.

Our car broke down in Amarillo, so we booked the Tru on an hour's notice. The staff was excellent. The location was fine - a bit on the edge of town but quiet and safe; definitely not walkable. Fun fact - there were Prairie Dogs in all of the fields nearby, and my kids loved watching them for hours.

Easy free parking. Not a lot nearby but it looks like a lot of development for the future.

Clean room. Easy access to I-40. Always a reliable pleasant place to stay as we have stayed here on numerous occasions driving across the country. Breakfast is the usual fare. Staff are friendly.

Plenty of space to get multiple suitcases tucked away and room on the bathroom counter for all of my stuff. It has a refrigerator but no microwave. Very close to 40 in an area with good hotels, but a few empty lots. As a single retired lady, I felt totally comfortable arriving and leaving in daylight but wouldnt park near the empty lots at night. The other hotels at this exit are similarly nice, well lit and safe, but near empty lots.

Great location right off I-40. Super easy on and off. Excellent hotel in top notch condition.

Everything was excellent other than the coffee. The coffee brand you use isn't good at any of the Tru hotels. Breakfast was great and the room was comfortable! We enjoyed the places you have to hang out with friends and family.

Check in was friendly and helpful, room was sparkling clean, bead very comfortable. Couldn't turn off fan in AC unit and that was not the best for us, probably wouldn't bother others. Breakfast was excellent.

The lobby was stocked with games, pet treats and fresh coffee. The room had clean surfaces but could use a deep clean (grout, corners, rim under the sink all had gooey buildup). Everything smelled clean and fresh and staff were very nice. Breakfast was pretty good, lots of options including hot eggs and sausage.

Quiet, clean, safe, friendly staff. Breakfast was not great. Lots of empty containers and malfunctioning equipment. Bananas were greener than the green apples offered. Coffee was good.

Everything was great except for the breakfast. It was lacking in many ways. I didn’t expect any more than the typical powdered eggs, turkey, bacon, or weak juice. This breakfast was even less than that. The coffee was better than expected though. We opted to eat breakfast elsewhere on our second morning. Everything else about the hotel was top-notch. Staff were super helpful and polite. Property is in good shape and clean even with being so pet friendly.

An average hotel but the staff was nice and the room was sufficient. I liked the fitness center. Breakfast at 8:30 didn’t have much left and coffee was like drinking tea.

Breakfast was of low quality food. Thin bacon and artificial eggs. At least they tasted fake. No coffee in room not a positive but not critical. Staff nice. No outside trash can to help us reset for our travel.
