We had a really great stay at Lulas House! It truly is a Bed & Breakfast which made our time there so enjoyable. The owners are super nice and so helpful with everything. Tammy was always willing to provide us with recommendations and help with anything around town. The breakfast was yummy and there is just an amazing atmosphere around the house. They also go above and beyond to provide amenities that are so helpful for your vacation (beach towels, umbrellas for rainy days, access to kitchen and space in a big fridge, etc). If you are looking for a chill and comfortable space that is walkable to all the things in town, look no further!

A wonderful stay at this B&B! Tammy and Allen have curated a quaint and lovely space. The breakfast is wonderful, and the vibe makes you feel like home. Clean rooms with good AC and hot showers. Great location for walking to town and a lovely open air chill space with views of the water a plam trees. Recommend highly ! Thank you!

Lula is wonderful! I especially loved the upstairs area with the hammocks, overlooking the ocean. I had a couple great naps up there with the hummingbirds. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Love that they have beach towels and snorkels for use and bikes for rent. It's off the main drag which means peace and quiet for a good night sleep. Amazing rain showers, comfy beds and great air conditioning for those steamy Bocas nights!

High marks for the area because the owners care, are very helpful, and try to anticipate your needs, along with suggesting a variety of options and opportunities to fill your time. Current city-wide street reconstruction gives a few challenges so don't wear your good shoes. Double room was a little cramped but had all the basics plus a modern shower. Kitchen and fridge available if needed, but don't miss the included breakfast. There are stairs but luggage assistance if needed.

Alan, the owner of the property was so very helpful during our entire stay. He always took the time to talk with us about the activities available and how to arrange. This property is within walking distance to everything we needed. His staff is friendly and the breakfast was always very good. This property was always clean. I would highly recommend Lulas! The guests were from all over the world and we found everyone to be very friendly. There is a nice area upstairs right outside of the rooms to gather for conversations. Our vacation was complete. If we ever return, we will stay here again.

The hosts are wonderful, the property was beautiful, tidy and clean. There are two lovely dogs that greeted us with waving tags and smily faces. There is a view of the water from the second floor lounging area. The hosts have a “honour bar” which worked wonderfully! You write your name down and settle up at the end of your stay. The bed was very comfortable, soft sheets, fluffy pillows and great mattress - it was the best sleep I had throughout Panama. The location is great, a very short walk to every in the town but far enough away that you don’t hear the music. All and all, really great experience and would highly recommend!

Lula’s was a perfect place to stay in Bocas! The property gave off a homestyle vibe and the hosts were very warm and welcoming. Rooms were very clean, had hot water, air conditioning, and relatively quiet throughout the night. The complementary breakfast was also a nice touch as it was one less thing to think about before starting your day. It’s also very short walk to Bocas Town with great restaurants nearby. Highly recommend Lula’s if you’re staying in Bocas Del Toro.

We choose this accommodation after reading the excellent reviews. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations at all. The accommodation is worn out, the room and especially the bathroom was very filthy. We were given a tour and the communal kitchen was also filthy. The mattress of the bed was also rock hard. We checked in and left immediately.

Rooms were very clean but simple Not luxurious, but for an island B&B was excellent AC and fan kept the room cool. breakfast was a choice of 3 options ( eggs or pancakes or yogurt with granola ) and at a communal table. Laundry was available and done for you at $10.00 per load. the owner, Tami, was always available for recommendations.

Everything was great! Tammy was in contact with us before our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were clean and spacious. She had great little touches throughout. Comfy furniture in common places with games and cards. Breakfast was fresh cooked and served. We will stay there again next time we’re in Bocas Town

We stayed at Lula’s BnB for 3 nights. While the location was convenient, the overall experience was disappointing. Communication around check-in was unclear—we confirmed our arrival time twice, yet were met with a sign saying no one was available. The host later contacted us and seemed frustrated we hadn’t connected, despite no indication she was present. Her tone felt dismissive, and the next morning she made a passive comment about it in front of other guests. We didn’t feel welcome during our stay, and another guest experienced similar treatment after making a simple breakfast request. There was loud construction happening throughout the town and right next to the BnB. Work often started by 6:30 a.m., making it difficult to get restful sleep. Cleanliness also left much to be desired—there were bug stains on the bathroom wall, an empty shampoo bottle with hair on it, and leftover food (including a half-eaten bar) in our room’s bin from a previous guest. The shared upstairs kitchen was also in poor condition, with no utensils or cutlery available. We ended up eating both of our yogurts with a single fork found in the dish bin. The space was overall quite dirty. We did meet some friendly travellers while staying, but overall we had a poor experience and would not recommend to people visiting Bocas Del Toro. We feel as though the 9.6 rating on Expedia is not reflective of the current conditions and likely is based off of many older, invalid reviews.

The inn keepers and their dogs are wonderful. The beds, showers and breakfasts are amazing. They don’t ration toilet paper (which is common here), and the bathroom even has a magnifying mirror.

We liked the traditional feel of the place, great welcome from Alan couldn’t do enough for you , every little detail was thought about . Room was good size and clean spotless. Bed was very comfy however the small bed was uncomfortable new matress needed. That was only complaint. The hammock on veranda great for relaxing. Breakfast was lovely. Beautiful dogs.

Lula’s was amazing! Tammy and Alan were so kind and helpful as we got settled and explored Bocas del Toro. They helped us get tours, told us how to get around, picked us up at the airport - it was incredible. Breakfast every morning was delicious! The B&B was so cute, super clean, with a great upper deck front porch to sit in the breeze and listen to the waves. When we go back to Bocas we will stay again.

Stayed at Lula’s Bed and Breakfast in February 2024 for two nights. This place is located within town and a lot of places are within walking distance. The day I came to the island, the owner, Tammy, picked me up from the airport. I was so grateful. The place itself is quiet, very clean, and comfortable. I loved sitting on the porch in the evening and looking out at the water. I appreciated the made to order hot breakfast in the morning. I had the eggs, bacon, and toast plate and it tasted great! Tammy and Allen are amazing owners and make you feel right at home. They have a lot of information and tips about Bocas Del Toro. Stay here when in Bocas!

Everything was great! Tammy was in contact with us before our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were clean and spacious. She had great little touches throughout. Comfy furniture in common places with games and cards. Breakfast was fresh cooked and served. We will stay there again next time we’re in Bocas Town

We stayed at Lula’s BnB for 3 nights. While the location was convenient, the overall experience was disappointing. Communication around check-in was unclear—we confirmed our arrival time twice, yet were met with a sign saying no one was available. Her tone felt dismissive, and the next morning she made a passive comment about it in front of other guests. We didn’t feel welcome during our stay, and another guest experienced similar treatment after making a simple breakfast request. The shared upstairs kitchen was also in poor condition, with no utensils or cutlery available. We ended up eating both of our yogurts with a single fork found in the dish bin. We had a really great stay at Lulas House! It truly is a Bed & Breakfast which made our time there so enjoyable. The owners are super nice and so helpful with everything. Tammy was always willing to provide us with recommendations and help with anything around town. The breakfast was yummy and there is just an amazing atmosphere around the house. They also go above and beyond to provide amenities that are so helpful for your vacation (beach towels, umbrellas for rainy days, access to kitchen and space in a big fridge, etc). If you are looking for a chill and comfortable space that is walkable to all the things in town, look no further!

Bocas is changing. For many, the road works will clean up the town centre and make pristine beaches accessible but more distant places will remain accessible only by water taxi. A mixed blessing. A wonderful stay at this B&B! Tammy and Allen have curated a quaint and lovely space. The breakfast is wonderful, and the vibe makes you feel like home. Clean rooms with good AC and hot showers. We loved our stay at Lula’s. Excellent location on quiet street away from the centre but within easy walking distance from the centre. Complimentary breakfast was tasty and common breakfast room was a nice opportunity to meet other guests. We loved the common porch area providing view of the water across the street and entertaining hummingbirds constantly feeding from the feeders on the property. Consistent hot water for showers which was appreciated after busy days exploring the area.

Me parecio que esta propiedad fue nuestra mejor eleccion, muy cerca del centro, podiamos caminar perfectamente hasta cualquier sitio, pero lo suficientemente alejado pero no tener ruido a la hora de descansar. Por otra parte, despues de pasar en tours y playa por el dia, agradecia tener un lugar en tierra firme. El desayuno es excelente y los anfitriones siempre fueron muy atentos y amables.

The inn keepers and their dogs are wonderful. The beds, showers and breakfasts are amazing. They don’t ration toilet paper (which is common here), and the bathroom even has a magnifying mirror.

A real guest house in Bocas with a homely feel. Only 10 mins max to the action but so nice to come back to peace and quiet and the wsves across the road gently splashing away. Breakfast is superb and plentlyful. Everything cooked to order and tastes that way too.I find this place fits my needs and budget perfectly.

Once again a delightful place to stay. Breakfast made to order is a wonderful treat. The library available with extensive travel guides and novels is great. I love swinging in the second floor balcony reading in the hammock while I hear the ocean waves. Very nice!
