Stow Away Waterloo

Läget är utmärkt. Trevlig gata utanför och promenadavstånd till det mesta. Toppen med ett litet pentry. Städningen var inte bra, men skulle ha underlättats med tillgång till lite städredskap.

Great place, location, amenities - except it’s soooo loud due to the trains! Thankfully I had ear plugs with me but consider the noise before booking

Check in states you will get the codes sent to you between 12-4pm so we waited around the hotel so we could drop our bags off. Gone 4pm and nothing so called and the codes were sent just after 4pm. Annoying as other correspondence was received before and after our stay and it meant we lost precious time exploring London. The bed was comfy but the blind in our room was broken so the room became very light just after 4:30am. The noise from Waterloo was minimal when the internal door was shut. Overall I think we may have gotten unlucky and I would be willing to try a stay again.

The A/C n heating system was not working. After checking the reviews looked like it wasn’t working since Dec 2025. Bathroom sink and kitchen sink had no hot water. No ventilation system for air. Couldn’t open the window. Not sufficient lighting. Train noise was very loud all day/night long (like ur sleeping in the train cabin). Too expensive, not worth it. Wasn’t very pleased, Should be able to get some refund.

Overall great, and would probably stay again at the same price. Other reviews mentioned noise, and I'd have to agree that there is quite a bit. I presume because the building is basically a stack of steel boxes, the rumble of passing trains travels easily into it. That said, if you're a city dweller used to traffic noise I doubt it would bother you unduly. I personally did find it a problem, and if I go back I'll be taking ear plugs! All that said there's a huge amount to like about the place. The design is really clever, with a proper 6-foot wide (and very comfortable) bed at one end of the room. The use of space is excellent, and it never feels cramped. The kitchen wouldn't be much good if you were planning a full self-catering holiday, but ideal for a night or two if you want to save a bit of money and eat in your room. The microwave with grill is decent quality and surprisingly useful, and there's a enough in the way of plates, knives etc to make a decent fist of cooking your own food. Also appreciated that there's a sponge, washing up liquid and a teatowel provided. The bathroom is also very smart, and things like the automatic lights are a neat touch. A couple of final things to add: first, there was a stack of tea and coffee sachets waiting, which was nice and not mentioned on the listing. And second, the listing says 'coffee maker', but I think it just means 'kettle', because that's what you get!
