Tru by Hilton Pigeon Forge, TN

We loved the kids splash pad and rooftop area

I would have given an EXCELLENT on all but an elevator was Dow. For 2 out of the 4 days we were there. The hotel was quite busy so it made for a long wait for the elevator. Also, our tv went in and out of picture, so while to trying to wind down at night with a little TV watching, it became very irritating. It would freeze ever few seconds.

So good. Best hotel gym I’ve ever been in. Two pools. Next to a cool new area with shops, restaurants, free games and. amusement park rides. I would definitely recommend.

Nice property. Good breakfast. Electric car charger didn’t work but the hotel adjacent had one that worked.

Great location. You can walk to the big shopping area. Breakfast options were great! I only wish they had a washer/dryer on site.

Easy walk to the Island. It was easy in and out. Beautiful view from the roof.

The property was off the main drag and wasnt hard to fight traffic to get to it. We loved the breakfast options and it was nice to have a indoor and outdoor pool.

Great location, a little off the main road so it’s quieter. Lots to do, great facilities and space to sit and relax as a group or couple. Roof space was lovely but no bar so we needed up on the ground floor. Free parking so plenty of opportunities to get out and see the local area

My kids loved the pool and bunk beds. The staff were very attentive. The property was in a great location.

We came to Pigeon Forge for a 16th birthday trip spending 1 night. Our check in was simple and quick. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for our needs. Wish we’d have had time in our schedule to enjoy the pools, exercise room, and lobby games. Will definitely consider staying here again in the future! Amazing location right by everything the birthday girl wanted to enjoy on this trip. Toddler friendly room/resort also which was a plus for the 3 year old.

There were a couple of stains on the bed sheets and pillows. There should be a QC person to make sure everything looks good for the next guest.

Everything was clean and staff was friendly

Very clean, staff extremely friendly and helpful, patio area very relaxing and calm, pool was great, and breakfast was top tier.

Hair was in the bathtub not cleaned. Everything else seemed to be clean Only one chair to set in was a downer Good breakfast

The lobby personnel were nice. As far as the room the floors were so dirty my child’s feet were black!!! Our white towels were all stained. The beds are so uncomfortable. The white comforter was stained on the bed.

The only negative I have to say is the indoor pool could use a good cleaning but everything else was perfect!

Great view from the skydeck. Nice showers. Friendly front desk attendant. Pool is a little small, but kids had fun. Pillows and bedding are very thin, mattress was a little hard.

Clean and new but at the price point i felt the rooms could if been a little bigger. The room where we stayed were next to baseball fields and as soon as rhe sun came up loud music started playing.

Rooms are extremely small and you have no closets or drawers. No room for your clothing or space to put anything. Made the stay very comfortable and won’t ever stay in a Tru by Hilton again

The hotel was clean, but the mattresses and pillows were very uncomfortable. I recommend bringing your own pillow. The rooms are very tiny. There is a ballpark directly behind the hotel and the loudspeaker woke us up every morning around 7:30 am.

I really did enjoy the modern colorful look. My only disappointed was there are NO DRESSERS or closests It was awkward living out of your suitcase. There were knobs on the wall for jacket/coats. I don't want to look at others personal lined on a shelf. With that being said I'll be looking for hotels with dressers and closets.

Rooms are very small, fridge is too small, no microwave

This property is nice. They keep everything clean. I didn’t like how small the rooms were. It was more like an efficiency. The wi-fi did not work either day. The hotel is close to everything.

This was a pleasure trip to see the sights of Pigeon Forge. We stayed 3 nights. The hotel was clean, the employees were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and acceptable. We liked the rooftop garden area. Our one issue was a little odor coming from our AC unit, just a little musty. Overall, it was a good stay.

Staff was friendly, hotel was clean, and beds were comfortable. Location is great. Rooms are a bit cramped and there’s no dresser- so nowhere to put your clothes. Shower floor was extremely slippery so be careful. Breakfast was good, average hotel breakfast. Outdoor pool is actually at the Home2Suites next door and is shared with Tru. I’d stay here again.

We’ve stayed before and must have forgotten how tiny the rooms were. We probably would not pick this hotel again. There are too many other options near by.

We were late checking in. We asked to be allowed to check out at 12. We were abruptly told no. We didn't even get time to brush our teeth.

Apparently TRU has taken the course of so many other companies. Customer Service means letting the customer provide their own service. Person at check in obviously wanted to be somewhere else. The room was cramped and hard to navigate. No closet, just a pole sticking out of the wall to hang a very limited number of clothes. NO drawers for placing underwear and other casual clothes in. I wound up putting them on top of the mini-fridge. Since no one came to clean the room, I didn't have to worry about someone rifling through my stuff. It felt like I was in a dorm room. The only thing missing was the crates to put my computer on.And requiring a 24 hour notice for cleaning the room, removing trash and replacing bathroom items, Whoever heard of having to go to the front desk to get these items. And if I had trash or dirty towels, I had the privilege of taking it to a receptacle at the end of the hall. (When will I receive my check for doing what you should be doing?!) And it was nice to get a surprise at check in that I was to provide my credit card for $15 a day to cover any damages . This would be credited following YOUR INSPECTION of the room after departure. This hidden cost was sure not mentioned when I booked the room. Obviously my overall experience was not good and I will never use TRU in the future and will advise my traveling friends not to use you either.

Conveniently located and accessible to several locations. Room service is inefficient; we had to call several times due to a lack of towels and sheets.

We needed to make a slight change to our reservation, and the young man at the front desk was super courteous and helpful in letting us do so.

I’d like to say thank you to the staff and management team. From the moment we checked in we enjoyed ourselves and the hospitality. Unfortunately, our trip was cut short due to the loss of a family member. They were very understanding and worked with us. We can’t thank you enough for that. We will be coming back one day and will definitely revisit this property!

A quick weekend trip to Gatlinburg! This was the perfect location in Pigeon Forge without the congestion of Gatlinburg. We will definitely stay here again.

The place is very well kept, though it is still relatively new. It has some really nice amenities, including the workout room, pool and sky deck, but without a doubt, the biggest selling point is its location. It’s immediately across the street from The Island, yet also on Teaster, which allows you to travel to either end or rh strip without getting into the heavy traffic.

Nice pace to stay. Convenient to downtown Pigeon Forge without all the traffic.

Good hotel to stay at. Nice view of the mountains and Pigeon Forge. The baseball fields behind the property are loud with music blaring over their speakers. Ask for a room facing away from this.

Great location! We normally stay off the main strip. We loved the convenience of being able to take the back road by the hotel. Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking close to everything.

Very clean, perfect location, walking distance to The Pigeon Forge Island. And 5 min drive to Dollywood

Hotel is very nice and in a convenient location.

We were able to check in an hour early as our room was ready. We had the friendliest people helping at the desk. Every interaction we had with staff for positive. We loved the games available to play in the lobby, we didn't use either of the pools but was a nice clean area. Breakfast was great! Loved all the topping choices for the waffles or pancakes. Lots of fresh fruit options and yogurt, nice and clean and seemed to be fully stocked at the different times we came down. Overall a very good choice.

Pretty bummed, we booked this hotel for a birthday get away over another one down the road. The pool was ice cold and theres no hot tub so we didn't get to go swimming. The breakfast ends at 9.. or before 8:30 if the food runs out as they dont replenish the food. In my opinion if breakfast goes until 9, food should be replenished until 9am. We stayed two nights and this happened both mornings. The fireplace up on the roof deck doesn't work so that was disappointing. They were also cleaning the sidewalk at 10am on Saturday morning with a loud pressure washer right outside the main door as well. Coffee was also gross, its available 24/7 but we had to go elsewhere. The lobby is cool with games and neat murals. Overall we won't be going back there.

My teens enjoyed the lounging room with TV and the indoor pool. I enjoyed that it was convenient to so many things and the view of mountains was very nice! I didn’t like the breakfast options due to being gluten free and dairy free. I wished they’d had a few better options.

Great basic stay. We got the room that is handicap accesible and it was great. The only drawback is no microwave available in the hotel rooms. Breakfast was decent! Pancake and waffle maker.

This particular location just wasn’t for us. Families with spots kiddos yes!! Early we heard 7:30 music from the ball fields and announcements thru the speaker system. So no sleeping in. Also was not impressed with the breakfast selection husband liked the omelets. But the protein was sliced smoked sausage not bacon or regular sausage hot cereal was grits. Other Tru hotels had better selections for breakfast. Takes so long to make your own waffles and to use the automated pancake machine. I had cold cereal and milk. OJ. Don’t southern places have gravy and biscuits?

This is our favorite place to stay when we come to Pigeon Forge. Their breakfast tops everyones by a mile. It is easy and quick to anything around. Always convenient and the staff has always been great to us.
