The sink was slow draining; stingy with the towels and the light above the sink was burned out. We were told there was no maintenance person available over the weekend. When we asked for a light bulb so we could do it ourselves we were told there were none available. We were offered a different room, although none was immediately available. Not ready for prime time.

The pool was not only closed, it was full of algae. Terrible breeding ground for mosquitos. Pot holes filled the parking lot. No muffin or pastry is offered with coffee in the reception area.........and one morning no coffee was available. When asked to stay a bit beyond the 11 am checkout time, the desk agent gruffly responded "you have 30 mins". At night there was a lot of noise and people talking in the parking lot. BIG difference from when this establishment was the Motel 6 and even Park Inn most recently. Hopefully things will improve. They don't even have shampoo or body wash in the bathrooms.........only a small bar of soap. It was quite a disappointing stay.

Didn’t have fridge microwave or pool as advertised was locked out of room for over an hour in the heat and they refused my refund when I checked out the day after I checked in because of how the room was. Manager was dope tho

This was a Motel 6. Room was clean and TV worked. The air conditioner didn’t work that well and was partially broken. Someone had put a piece of paper over the controls and written in pen what the buttons were but it didn’t cool the room that much. Fortunately it was a cool night.

This hotel is clearly dated, and the vending machine was not working, but the staff were great, and it got the job done. It was the cheap option, and that's what I needed from it.

There was mold in the shower, water damage that was painted over, and scuff marks on the floor. The floor base was damaged and dirt had accumulated in the cracks. Light switches were not flush with the wall, and there were other indications of poor construction or putting lipstick on a pig. I am a licensed architectural engineer and notice things like that.

No towels. Went to the desk and asked. He seemed frustrated about it and could only offer me 2 face towels. Floor in the bathroom would take me probably 2 hrs to remove and replace. Absolutely horrible. Needs caulk not mold in the tub. Using leaf blower at 9 am was not appreciated. Light on right side of bed didn't work. Could put tape over the remote so batteries don't fall out. Something crawled on my sons foot. Needs a good wipe down to remove dirt on the walls. They sure made it clear no refunds when i made the reservation. Overall it sucked

The staff was nice and attentive. The room was "clean" black mold corners, black mold tub. Tiny space, extra small bathroom; good luck opening the door! Dusty room, only main spaces are wiped down, dirty headboard. The mattress was absolutely awful and thin with plastic and terrible sheets with an intoxicating smell of cheap cleaners. If you dont need a shower, iust sleep in your vehicle.

Although the staff was friendly and courteous the overall feel of the motel was dirty. Cigarette butts all around. The room smelled like smoke, burns on the bathtub. Staining on curtains. Bed was very uncomfortable. No fridge or microwave or dresser for that matter. Would definitely not stay there again. Pool was absolutely gross!

No in-room coffee maker. No sitting chair; just really cheap dinette chairs. TV & channel selection was good. Bed was comfortable. It’s a recycled old style Motel 6 that Marriott acquired for some reason and it feels like it.

It was a Motel 6. The rooms are very small. The Queen size beds actually only full size beds. The toilet clogs very easily. There’s no shampoo nor conditioner, nor hair dryer. On the good side, there are refrigerator, microwave in the room.

I tried to cancel but greedy Expedia said no. Debbie the manager called after I didn’t check in and I explained I booked the room for visitors but they had a room already. Debbie explained she could refund me since I never checked in but then berated me to be more responsible next time! I told her to forget the refund and don’t talk to me disrespectfully hung up.

This was the worst hotel stay I've ever experienced. Bugs on the floor, laminate pieces able to pick up and move, stains on the sheets, and the list goes on. Looked nothing like the pictures, was not Park Inn, had just switched hands to Super 8. Had I known I never would have booked it. They had no reservation even though I booked 3 months ago, apparently because they changed computer systems when they changed hands, no email or any notification that they had switched over. Then wake up at 6 am to use the bathroom and step in water. Water was coming through the walls and was throughout the room. Went to the office explained, was offered another room, took about 30 mins or so for that to come through. Toilet wouldn't flush properly in the new room, grime in shower grout, needless to say, we showered quickly and got the hell out. Oh and come to find out all of that water, was toilet water from the room upstairs. Never again.

A fine place to sleep, considering the value. As an entry level motel class of the guests has to be considered, but it is what it is. Front desk check in staff member was uniquely kind, engaging, and helpful.

Good location & staff. Much quieter then the Studio 6 in Concord I was staying at previously, however lacks some of the amenities that Studio 6 offers for similar price. Overall would rather stay here.

Just be aware, you truly do get what you pay for. Walnut Creek is a relatively higher end city, but this hotel is old, not clean or comfortable and people at and around the area were very sketchy. Needed a cheap room, but I was so uncomfortable, I am not sure it was worth it.

It’s a Motel 6, not a Hilton. The staff was excellent and very accommodating. The facility was decent overall, but the shower was ready for replacement or refinishing. The area is fantastic and just down the street from various shops and malls. High end car dealers such as Porsche and Maserati are just up the street, indicating the type of neighborhood we are talking about. Still, the clientele is what you’d expect from a lower end property. At one point in my stay there was police activity at the motel and at another point there was a truck with a giant subwoofer blaring for about 30 minutes at midnight. For these reasons, I wouldn’t bring my family here for a vacation, but for a decent nights sleep with the wife to attend an event, or something, it’s fine. And again, the staff was super friendly and met our every request.

Nice quiet room. Staff was helpful. Not super walkable (maybe 20 min walk to town) but the Marriot right nearby has a restaurant and there are a few other options within a 10-minute walk. Town has garages and street parking but it’s not easy.

The pool was not only closed, it was full of algae. Terrible breeding ground for mosquitos. Pot holes filled the parking lot. No muffin or pastry is offered with coffee in the reception area.........and one morning no coffee was available. When asked to stay a bit beyond the 11 am checkout time, the desk agent gruffly responded "you have 30 mins". At night there was a lot of noise and people talking in the parking lot. BIG difference from when this establishment was the Motel 6 and even Park Inn most recently. Hopefully things will improve. They don't even have shampoo or body wash in the bathrooms.........only a small bar of soap. It was quite a disappointing stay.

The afternoon check-in was easy and efficient. The room was old but clean with few amenities. No shampoo. Where they really dropped the ball was in the morning. At 7:30 they were out of coffee with 4 or 5 of us waiting for a new batch. That disappeared fast and when my wife went to the office a little later there was no coffee. When we checked out a half hour later still no coffee. How about getting a second carafe?

Good place for a night or two. They had a good vending machine with options of food and hygiene products. Ice machine in the facility and WiFi and cable. Would recommend to bring your own shower products like shampoo, conditioner and so on. That was no provided.

This hotel is clearly dated, and the vending machine was not working, but the staff were great, and it got the job done. It was the cheap option, and that's what I needed from it.

Everything was good except the shower knob was broken and the shower unusable. I let the office know. I needed to leave before 11 AM, so I spoke with Jay who gave me a credit for my next reservation. Very satisfied with the remedy since it was a Sunday and maintenance would not be available until later.

The rooms were what you what expect them to be at a Super 8, but the staff here is exceptionally bad at service. As a small woman who stayed here with another woman, I can safely say that I never felt at ease in this building and that was because of the staff. To bring up one exclusive event, we heard very strange, LOUD noises from our room next door (our connected room). It sounded like a baby crying, and it turned out to be a dog being neglected by its owners. As you would, we went down the front desk (not to get a new room, not to make a noise complaint, but to HELP whatever was happening in the room next to us) - the front man said “it’s a dog, dog . dog. dog. dog.” and then left after us being visibly upset about what was happening. The event ended up being resolved by police (after WE had to be the ones to dial and talk to the operator, and yes the dog was in trouble so thank god we called). Also, if you are staying here for more than one night, you will undoubtedly have trouble with your keys as they disable them at the end of each day (even if they know you will be in that room) so make sure to come back from your travels before the unhelpful man leaves!) Will never sacrifice my safety for a cheap stay again, and you shouldn’t either!

The location is convenient to downtown Walnut Creek, the freeways and the BART transit station. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Room was basic but reasonably clean. Beds were comfortable. Maintenance could use more attention - one bathroom light was not working, bathtub/shower drained slowly and toilet was difficult to flush.
