Excellent stay for 1 night for a wedding in a nearby town. Room facilities and breakfast first class. Sadly restaurant for evening meal and bar were unavailable due to a family bereavement.

Was ok, until the 2nd night where they didn’t let us no there was a function on so couldn’t get food or even a drink and the staff couldn’t of seemed to care, and the disco going on really loud till gone 11pm so didn’t get to sleep to late and had our son with us

A friendly welcome, a clean and generously-sized room and a very comfortable bed with crisp, white sheets were my main memories of my stay. I slept well. The less good bit for me was the bath. I struggled to understand the controls (it had jets which I didn't want to use) and getting in and especially out was difficult. The ease of parking is another good feature. I will stay at La Fontana again.

They had a function on but didn’t tell us so couldn’t get any food and not even a drink and disco blaring away till gone 11pm when had our son with us not impressed as didn’t get a warning or anything

Lovely people, requested a light for the desk and a heater for the room and was provided straight away, a little disappointed that the Italian Resturant is not open through the week as I was looking forward to having their food but they tolls me about a lovely local pub which was great, have an English breakfast in the morning which was cooked beautifully. It would be useful to have a shelf in the shower to hold the shower gel provided. Would stay here again

The dining room was elegant, but the carpet was badly stained. The reception area was impressive . Unfortunately, the rooms were tired and needed a lot of attention especially on the the cleanliness . ,The breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, I would not recommend it.

Friendly staff member but that's it. Room was in a very poor state of condition, no restaurant on week day,stained lining and towels, broken bath tiles, window doesn't close fully so lets water and noise in.dirty glasses in room.

It was really sad when I visited as the owners had experienced a family bereavement and probably should not have opened. Whilst being hugely sympathetic with the family my room had not been hoovered and the floor was covered in debris and bits of food. The bath had cobwebs in and when I started the jacuzzi in the bath it spat out insects from various jets. I was one of only two people there for breakfast in a huge dining room and off the dining room was a huge wreath of letters making up presumably the name of the deceased. As before I am so sorry for their loss but the net effect for a hotel stay was really very uncomfortable. I do wish them well.

Lovely little place with a great service. We checked in and was going to leave really early in the morning. The staff helped us with a big bag of breakfast that we took with us. Thank you for helping us with that!

Anna was extremely accommodating with my early check-in, with good communication throughout. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely and quiet, had a great night’s sleep and topped off with a delicious breakfast. Would happily recommend La Fontana and look forward to staying again in the future.

Just stayed one night to visit Blenheim Palace. The owners were very accommodating and gave us an earlier check in time due to our logistics on the day. Breakfast was great. Very friendly staff

Lovely accommodation, friendly staff. We stayed for 3 nights to attend an event in Oxford. Was lovely being in the countryside, and only 20 mins to Oxford. Near to an amazing farm shop too.

Really enjoyable stay! Lovely family owners and staff. Very comfortable bed and very clean. Food in the restaurant was fabulous! Great choice. Nicest pizza I have had. Will find a reason to come back.

The hotel was clean and staff friendly. Breakfast was tasty but not much choice. A selection of cereals and prepacked cakes etc. and waitress came and offered a full English. My friend had to ask for something different. No menu. Only white toast was brought and one pot of coffee. No-one came out of the kitchen again to see if we wanted more. It woud be nice for a little more service in the restaurant. Food was well cooked.

A really nice clean room. Friendly owners, family run business. Food was absolutely fantastic, both evening meals and breakfasts very good quality and excellent taste. Really nice location.

The room was nice bathroom very large and good quality. Staff very friendly and helpful.The best thing of all was the meal in the restaurant it was amazing, best Italian food we have had for years. This is funny as we have just come back from south Italy. Very good value for money too.

Hotel For kerb appeal it needs some care and attention. The Flower baskets on the railings are in bad condition and not a good first impression when entering the Car Park. Entering the reception it gets better with a bright entrance and stairs going up to the superior room. Our superior was spacious, the decor was slightly dated and the shower didn't have a shelf for shampoo etc, this had to be left on the shower floor. It was disappointing to have no complementary water and in the evening it became apparent there was a lack of sound proofing as noise came through the walls / floors. The bed was comfortable, taking a shower could pose problems for the larger person as the Towels are incredibly small for drying. The room was very clean as was the hotel and toilets. Food For our evening meal, we both had starters, my wife had Crab Croquettes and garnish, the verdict was not much crab flavour. I had the Spicey Prawns, King prawns cooked with garlic fresh chillis & cherry tomatos, these were some of the best prawns I've eaten with plenty of flavour, I did ask them to remove the heads which they did. For the mains, we both chose the Spaghetti Arrabiata which was in a traditional tomato, garlic basil & chilli sauce and added chicken for £2.50 per portion. The portion size was generous, however, the taste was very tomatoey not like other Arrabiata sauces we've tasted, the spaghetti was close to being al dente and the chicken wasn't tender and grisly!
