Really old pub with lots of character. Rooms are a little tired but spotlessly clean

Don’t bother. Could be a great place but it needs a full refurb. Bar shut at 19:45 no food served nothing around the town was open either. They did want a refundable 1p deposit (which I never got back) however I would struggle to do 1p worth of damage. Such a shame as it and the town has potential. If Wetherspoons took it over it would be magnificent

We stayed for 4 nights. Price was very reasonable. Excellent location. Nice beer garden. Good breakfast. Staff helpful. Room had been refurbished and was roomy and clean. Restaurant closed Monday and Tuesday. Had an evening meal on the Wednesday but it was dissapointing.
