Hotel El Faro did not meet our expectations for a property that presents itself as a 4-star international hotel. In our experience, it is closer to a 3-star hotel, and the price does not match the quality of the facilities or the services provided. Our first room had significant maintenance issues, so we requested a change. The second room was in better condition; however, it is clear that the hotel as a whole requires a substantial renovation plan. The staff did their best to assist us and were always willing to help, but there were too many structural and operational issues that were beyond their control. We tried the massage services and, unfortunately, the quality and techniques used were not in line with those of professional massage therapists, nor with what one would expect from a hotel that promotes itself as a spa. Breakfast is quite limited and lacks fresh products, which was also disappointing. On the positive side, the view from the hotel is outstanding and definitely the highlight of the stay. The quality of the linens is also very good. With improvements in infrastructure and overall services, the hotel could better reflect the privileged location in which it is set.

La vista fue la mejor de Villa La Angostura. La habitación capturaba todo el escenario natural ya que era muy grande. El personal muy amable, y el desayuno también muy lindo. Tiene un faro que se puede subir, y es impactante. La ubicación es como todo en VLA, un poquito alejado, que está bien para tranquilidad. Para bajar hasta el hotel en auto es necesario cierta habilidad al volante. Muy predispuesto el personal. El hotel está en buenas condiciones pero ya necesitaría algunos mantenimientos adicionales.

The hotel is perfectly situated for amazing lake views. The staff is friendly, breakfast was very tasty, and the rooms are comfy and cozy. The reason it's not a 5-star review is (1) they failed to service our room one of the three days we were there and (2) there were some condition issues of the hotel grounds - the hot tub was questionable at best and the dock on the lake was dangerously weathered. Despite that, I would recommend.

The hotel was beautiful, located right on the lake. Our room was really nice, but the bathroom ceiling was old and crumbling, and the blinds were broken. There was also smell of sewage during the night. We mentioned this to the receptionist and she changed our rooms by the third night and offered us a free dinner at the restaurant as a compensation. The second room was lovely. The pool could use a clean up. But overall the experience was lovely and we got engaged there so we have a special place for this hotel in our memory now:)

The view is amazing. One wonderful lady Ileene working reception, bar tender (minimal choices). Have to leave property for meals other than breakfast but can order and have delivered from other restaurants. Suggest having a car if staying there.

Hotel está num local espetacular na beira do lago. O quarto é completo e muito espaçoso. Destaque pra varanda e pra hidro do banheiro com vista pro lago. Só achei que algumas áreas como Academia e piscina poderiam estar melhor cuidadas. O café da manhã muito bom e completo.

Hotel muito sujo, descuidado, equipamentos que não funcionam, nos colocaram num quarto que não era o reservado, com 20 degraus para descer, um verdadeiro calabouço. Pagamos por um apartamento de luxo e nos deram um lixo. Depois de reclamar muito soube que nosso quarto foi dado para outro. No dia seguinte nos deram o quarto certo. É uma pena ver um local tão mal gerenciado , negligente, sujo, sem nenhuma conservação. A recepcionista Cynthia e a Valéria se desdobram para atender bem e foram elas que salvaram nossa estadia. Café da manhã medíocre, poucos itens e pequenas quantidades que acabavam o tempo todo, economia até nisso...Não voltarei e não recomendo ...

Large, comfortable room, great view and quiet location. Dinner expensive, small portions and not great experience. My husband had tortellini which was lukewarm (reheated on request). I had Caesar salad, which was small, contained good amount of chicken, chunky croutons, minimal lettuce, regular cheese slices (not Parmesan) but nothing else.

Hotel está num local espetacular na beira do lago. O quarto é completo e muito espaçoso. Destaque pra varanda e pra hidro do banheiro com vista pro lago. Só achei que algumas áreas como Academia e piscina poderiam estar melhor cuidadas. O café da manhã muito bom e completo.

Hotel El Faro did not meet our expectations for a property that presents itself as a 4-star international hotel. In our experience, it is closer to a 3-star hotel, and the price does not match the quality of the facilities or the services provided. The staff did their best to assist us and were always willing to help, but there were too many structural and operational issues that were beyond their control. Breakfast is quite limited and lacks fresh products, which was also disappointing. On the positive side, the view from the hotel is outstanding and definitely the highlight of the stay. The quality of the linens is also very good. With improvements in infrastructure and overall services, the hotel could better reflect the privileged location in which it is set.

Hotel muito sujo, descuidado, equipamentos que não funcionam, nos colocaram num quarto que não era o reservado, com 20 degraus para descer, um verdadeiro calabouço. Pagamos por um apartamento de luxo e nos deram um lixo. Depois de reclamar muito soube que nosso quarto foi dado para outro. No dia seguinte nos deram o quarto certo. É uma pena ver um local tão mal gerenciado , negligente, sujo, sem nenhuma conservação. A recepcionista Cynthia e a Valéria se desdobram para atender bem e foram elas que salvaram nossa estadia. The hotel is perfectly situated for amazing lake views. The staff is friendly, breakfast was very tasty, and the rooms are comfy and cozy. La vista fue la mejor de Villa La Angostura. La habitación capturaba todo el escenario natural ya que era muy grande. El personal muy amable, y el desayuno también muy lindo. Tiene un faro que se puede subir, y es impactante. La ubicación es como todo en VLA, un poquito alejado, que está bien para tranquilidad. Para bajar hasta el hotel en auto es necesario cierta habilidad al volante. Muy predispuesto el personal. El hotel está en buenas condiciones pero ya necesitaría algunos mantenimientos adicionales.

I had Caesar salad, which was small, contained good amount of chicken, chunky croutons, minimal lettuce, regular cheese slices (not Parmesan) but nothing else.

This hotel is absolutely terrible and I highly recommend against staying here. The property is not maintained, the rooms look like trashy motel rooms. The food options for breakfast are low quality and limited, the service is beyond terrible. We lost money on our booking because we stayed one night and had to leave. It was gross, save your money. There are tons of better options.
