First, you will find a run down property with a pool of deep green from algae. Next, you will notice the orange signs plastered around the steps (which do not have a barricade or anything blocking kids from running up them). The signs are from the county building inspector informing you all of the second floor, the steps to the second floor, and the balconies are unsafe for human use or habitation. The staff did not seem bothered by this. The room I was assigned did not have a smoke detector and you could see the place on the wall where there used to be one. When I informed the front desk there was no smoke detector and there was no way I would stay at a place that was found unsafe by a building inspector and had no smoke detector, I got no respond. No refund, nothing. See photos.

Even for a budget option this place should be avoided. The staircase and second floor have been condemned unsafe to use. The ceiling is caving in. The room is filthy and damp. Our non smoking room reeked of cigarettes. Everything was dirty. The pool was closed without explanation.

Didn't even stay at the hotel. Checked into the room walked around and inspected it, and walked right back out. It smelled so bad, and was so dirty there was no way we were going to try and sleep there. There were unsafe aigns posted by the fire marahall rhat the steucture was UNSAFE! The pool was closed wheb it was auppose to be open, it was NASTY. I WOULDNT WASTW MY TIME. There are bwtter accomodations right down the road!

They did not have a staff member at the front desk, if you needed anything you had to speak in a machine where someone will talk to you. Ice machine was broken so only way you can get some ice it will be in the lobby desk and it was closed.

Two of the main reasons we booked this motel was that they advertised a swimming pool and a complimentary hot breakfast. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for the season and only a continental breakfast was offered. Also, the first room they sent us to was dirty and the bed looked like a couple had just spent their honeymoon in it. When we tried to cancel our reservation for the next night, they said that the cancellation fee would essentially amount to twice the daily room rate! I advise you to look elsewhere.

Looking for a cheap place to sleep and shower for few hours while traveling. Staff was courteous and friendly, that’s the only positive thing I can say about the place. This place is really run down. Damages on the ceiling, floor planks uneven in few areas, very dirty at every part of the room, sheets has stains, every towel has hair on it, tv remote sticky, bunch of hair in the tub, the window curtain does not cover all the way so people can see you when they walk pass the room, breakfast was a joke. I understand the words you get what you pay for but the least this place can do is have clean towels and sheets. I regret staying here.

Sheet on one bed had hair in it. Bath tub had hair in it. Ceiling in one area was coming down, mold in bathroom, replaced towel bar with globs of material that was orange and stuck out 2-3 inches around the bar, and tv had to be moved to get it plug in. Floor was ok, curtain was nice, air conditioner worked well, low lights worked ok, one light did not work at all, breakfast was very minimal.

The smell was awful in the room. There was a sign that it was unsafe to use the steps or balcony which could cause harm or death on the door by the Fire Marshall. The bathroom door knob was on the sink outside the bathroom. The bathroom door jam was broken and the door would not close. Holes in the walls. Dirty sink. Stained sheets. Holes in comforter. Requesting refund. Did not stay.

The room was dirty, if I could have left at 2:00 in the morning when I got up to use the bathroom I would have turned on the light and a army of German cockroaches were all over the place, moved my luggage out of the room and put it in my car right away. Very disappointed

I picked this hotel over another because it had good reviews about the cleanliness. That was NOT our experience. The room was NOTHING like the online photos. The floor was unswept, the sink was spray painted and scratched and covered in drips of new wall paint. There were bugs in the room that no doubt came through multiple holes in the wall. The toilet was covered in white dusty film. The second floor was deemed “unsafe” and metal bars and a disk hanging from the lan line were barriers to us walking the outdoor corridor. When we talked to the front desk about it, we were told there was nothing they could do and we should contact corporate. I emailed them immediately and have received no response. This is my worst experience after booking through Hotels.com. We were misled by the online photos - those show rooms completed in the reno and/or stock photos. Room outlets didn't half work, They say they have smart tv - the do not. Ref would not cool or freeze, House keeping did not clean very well. The pool is dirty and needs bad maintenance.Lamps in the rooms didn't work the way they should. Bathrooms lobby didn't work and was shut down. Blankets on the beds had holes from where someone was smoking weed.

The property feels very run down. The room had an odor, debris on the floor and a heating/ac system that was full of black mold and looks like a fire hazard. Add in the mysterious pigeon sounds so night and you've got a place I would never recommend.

First, there was no internet the entire stay, even though it was listed as included. The water came out yellow at one point, which was disturbing and felt unsafe. The curtains were stained and falling apart, the ceiling was flaking, and the floors were greasy and gross. On top of all that, we were locked out of our paid room, with our dogs and all our belongings stuck inside. There was no front desk staff available, only a useless virtual kiosk agent who claimed we didn’t have a reservation — after we had already checked in and paid. This didn’t get solved until about 2 hours later which was terribly inconvenient as we had somewhere to be.

This was an overnight stay while on a road trip. The bed was ok. Room had odd smell and needs an update. The biggest negative was the AC. It was loud and shut on and off frequently. You were either hot or cold. Couldn’t seem to get a comfortable temp

Inexpensive adequate lodge for single male traveler. TV, AC did not work properly and management gave apparently two sets of keys to same room because someone woke me up at 2am in my room. Fortunately, very, very comfortable bed and pillows.

First when we arrived my husband needed the bathroom but lady at front desk said it was not working, she said she forgit to put a sign up. When we enter room AC not working, toilet paper holder hanging from wall, fire alarm had no cover and no battery , chair had lot of dust stuck to it, lamps corroded, bathroom door dirty and wood peeling. Waited around 45 minutes to have AC replaced, the one they brought was SUPER DIRTY and the man did not clean it. Overall terrible! The only reason we stayed was because we spent all day driving and were tired but room was not worth $90. Do not recommend this hotel.

Just checked in. Within 30 minutes of that, loud neighboring room with pass through door echoing noise already audible. And no working TV. Spoke to front desk, Mary, about the TV. She did what she could but there was no resolution to be had, including involving the on-call maintenance person. Mary did say she would submit the issue for the incoming manager in hopes that my stay would be discounted. Praying I can get some sleep through the night. Already regretting choice.

The 1st room ac didnt work. 2nd room was ok. Tv wasnt working right at first. Not sure my husband had a allergic reaction to the bedding and broke out I n hives by morning. Thinking the detergent used for the bedding. Breakfast was ok.

I didn't expect much from this very cheap motel, but it was beyond bad. After 5pm, you have to use a kiosk with a video terminal to check in. The lobby is locked. If you need anything from housekeeping, you won't be able to get anything in the evening. The room was not properly cleaned. Lightbulb missing from the lamp. Sink barely ran. No hand towels are provided at all. We were in the room one morning when housekeeping came by. We told them we were leaving in 10 minutes and they could come back then. They said no problem, but never did come back, so we had no bath towels for that night and could not take a shower. At breakfast, the coffee machine was broken, so for the first two days, no coffee. They eventually got another machine. Dead batteries in the TV remote, internet was hit or miss. And then there are the signs posted by the fire marshal that the second floor balcony and stairs were unsafe and not to enter. I'm sure the second floor was unoccupied, but still didn't make me feel good about having to walk under it. I'll just leave it at that.

First, there was no internet the entire stay, even though it was listed as included. The water came out yellow at one point, which was disturbing and felt unsafe. The curtains were stained and falling apart, the ceiling was flaking, and the floors were greasy and gross. On top of all that, we were locked out of our paid room, with our dogs and all our belongings stuck inside. There was no front desk staff available, only a useless virtual kiosk agent who claimed we didn’t have a reservation — after we had already checked in and paid. This didn’t get solved until about 2 hours later which was terribly inconvenient as we had somewhere to be.

The room I booked was “non smoking” as soon as I opened the room, it reeked of tobacco and the bed was unmade. I went back to the lobby to get a different room and i didn’t even get an “i’m sorry” or anything. The receptionist just took the key, made a phone call and didn’t say anything to me. I had to ask if I was getting a new room and she just said nodded. The new room smelled weird and the bathroom did not look clean.

I’m not gonna lie I read reviews and was skeptical but to my surprise the staff was extremely pleasant, great price for the stay, clean hotel, no bugs and hot breakfast. Can’t beat this place and the staff! I travel a lot for work so finding GOOD cheap hotels is a challenge but this one is a hidden gem.

Guy before me got 1 key for 2 rooms, key didn't work. Remote agent had to call onsite employee to wake up, get dressed, let all of us into rooms. I got to room around 12:30, never got key. No power to TV or microwave. Few outlets worked. Wanted to call front desk - room phone didn't work. And the best? Signs posted saying UNSAFE - Not Safe for Habitation. 1 at entrance to lobby, seversl on upper level rooms. Saw some room lights on up there.

For the price, it’s definitely worth it. It’s 20 min from Savannah, 40 min (with light traffic), from Hilton head island, and they do provide breakfast in the morning.

Nice simple place in motel row north of Savannah. My room was a suite, with a huge spa in the living room. Unfortunately the second floor has been condemned by the city, with menacing signs posted…not a confidence builder.

I recommend this property. The price is affordable. Location excellent. Surrounding area has what you need food & supplies. Mini fridge, microwave & coffee maker. Complementary breakfast is available. Lobby & breakfast areas very clean. Bathroom in room was not very clean. Housekeeping needs more training. I would stay at this property again

I stayed here for one night on the way down to Florida. The room was fine. It wasn't 5 star, but it was fine for over night. I'd stay here again. The staff was super friendly. The girl that checked me in to the man that brought me a remote and programmed it. I didn't eat the breakfast, but I saw it's more than cold cereal. It one of the better breakfasts I've seen at a hotel.

Pleased with the accommodations for a one night stay on our way from South Florida to Virginia Beach. Great location, easy on/off I-95. Issues with TV were corrected by maintenance very quickly.

It was okay, the pool wasn’t available and the breakfast wasn’t the best. The orange juice was sour. It was decent for just a night stay. We couldn’t get the WiFi or the tv to work either.

Arrived after dark, sheets were not cleaned,entire second floor was closed do to renovation, bare floor, moldy smell, arrived at 8:30 for breakfast a 1/2 scoop of cold eggs and some potatoes were all there was , asked employee if there would be any more, she didn’t speak English and just walked away. Coffee was lukewarm no bacon or sausage. Never will return.

I was looking forward to a decent breakfast before I took off. They said it was between 6 and 9 am. I waited from 6:30 till 8 am. About 7:00 the lady started to carry things out one at a time very slowly. At 8 THERE WERE STILL NO PLATES, SILVERWARE milk or any other food. my room was only half way clean.

Dont expect much from a lower budget but it does nees serious updating. The bed rails stuck out (an unnecessary cause for injury), lamps are rusted and there was some dirt in the corner near bathtub. Dissapointed with the breakfast as your breakfast photo of the breakfast was deceiving and your description inaccurate. On hotels.com showed sausages, waffles etc and stated cooked to order as well. Yhe breakfast was the reg with waffles, scrambled eggs but no meats like bacon or sausages offered. Pool area looked like photos.

Two of the main reasons we booked this motel was that they advertised a swimming pool and a complimentary hot breakfast. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for the season and only a continental breakfast was offered. Also, the first room they sent us to was dirty and the bed looked like a couple had just spent their honeymoon in it. When we tried to cancel our reservation for the next night, they said that the cancellation fee would essentially amount to twice the daily room rate! I advise you to look elsewhere.

There was really nothing to like except maybe the pool that I never got to try. The rooms were filthy (beds, floors and toilets with dried urine on rims uncleaned) both the shower/tub and sink handles were not connected and fell off in my hand. Breakfast was not there, had to ask desk clerk to get someone to make something. Worst place in a long time.

Worst stay at this property ever. My booked room was not honored; did not get a room until half an hour later; malfunctioned TV, microwave, and poor internet signal were deadly. But a hot water bath, a comfortable bed, and quiet air conditioning gave me a very comfortable long sleep such that I had plenty of energy to continue my trip next day.

The only positive thing about my visit to Econo Lodge was that the staff at the desk said she "felt bad" that we weren't offered the only room that can be offered as an adjoining room which is literally a room with the center wall removed. The rooms smelt of must and chemicals for killing all sorts of things. I had to call Expedia and have them call the hotel and agree that they did not have the ability to make our accommodations so they didn't charge us. So we had to continue up the rd to NY to the next exit and so on. it really was an awful mess. The pool was out of service and no intention to get it going again right away. The lobby restrooms weren't in service, there was a police officer sitting right below the sign (they stated he was there for safety)

The owners really need to invest in some basic updates for this property. I feel bad for the staff who have to manage constant issues and complaints. I am including pictures of broken TV, leaking toilet, bath towels provided, and cracks/debris falling from ceiling.
