We booked a 3 night stay on the first day of opening after boxing day so the hotel was quiet. However the warmth, friendliness' of the staff was in abundance. The hotel is old but the rooms especially the ensuite was new and spacious, food at breakfast and the restaurant was very good and parking free

Paid for a superior room in the annexe. Got put in a standard room in the main hotel, told on arrival there would be a loud party the next night til around midnight. With that thought in mind I’m sat in a hotel room on my girlfriend’s birthday wondering how I messed up so bad. We could hear every noise from the bar and corridor in the room. Checked my confirmation and realised we were in the wrong room - the room we paid for was much quieter and much more in line with what I paid and we were eventually put in it. On night 2 of our stay there was indeed the aforementioned loud party. Not the relaxing stay in the Peak District we came for.

Only stayed for one night. Staff were great. Property was dated, cobwebs in bedroom on ceiling, furniture old and in need of up dating. Radiator in bathroom clipped quite a bit. Lovely fireplace in lounge area, would have been better if it was on. Would have felt cosy, as the weather outside was awful.

Close to the station and town centre so easily walkable. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was upgraded on arrival- and the room was lovely! Great that it has a gym and spa treatments on site too.

A couple of minor issues with the room on check in but the staff went above and beyond to rectify it quickly. All of the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were polite and attentive. The hotel and some of the rooms are currently being refurbished; we stayed in one of the superior rooms which hadn’t been refurbished and it was a little tired. The size of the room was good and it was bright and airy. The floorboards in our room and neighbouring room were creaky and noisy and unfortunately the movement from the neighbouring room kept us wake during the night. This is the only negative part of what was otherwise a lovely stay.

Ticked all the boxes. Friendly staff…. that interacted with guests beyond a ‘script’. Rooms refurbished. Easy to walk into town. The only thing was my room was next to the lift which was noisy. That said the hotel had no late nighter guests so it stopped been used at reasonable time.

Beautiful tasteful hotel in fantastic green surroundings. Excellent customer service from all staff at the hotel and check was very easy and smooth. Beautiful spacious room and such a fantastic traditional staircase when entering the hotel. Breakfast was amazing and the dining area was so calming & pleasant. Excellent location to all attractions/amenities and very easy to walk on foot to reach the amazing shops, bars and restaurant's.. Loved the Buxton Baths. Highly recommend this hotel and I would come back to this hotel when I visit Buxton again and stay over. Excellent standards and 10 out of 10 ⭐️

This is a lovely hotel with exceptionally helpful and friendly staff who seemed to take a personal interest in all their guests. It was a pleasure to stay there and our room was beautifully comfortable and spacious. The only drawback was the long climb from the town centre if walking!

Beautiful tasteful hotel in fantastic green surroundings. Excellent customer service from all staff at the hotel and check was very easy and smooth. Beautiful spacious room and such a fantastic traditional staircase when entering the hotel. Breakfast was amazing and the dining area was so calming & pleasant. Excellent location to all attractions/amenities and very easy to walk on foot to reach the amazing shops, bars and restaurant's.. Loved the Buxton Baths. Highly recommend this hotel and I would come back to this hotel when I visit Buxton again and stay over. Excellent standards and 10 out of 10 ⭐️

We had a good experience and would definitely stay there again. If coming by train, schedule a taxi ahead of time - there’s a long walk up a steep hill(which isn’t fun if you have much luggage).

This is a lovely hotel with exceptionally helpful and friendly staff who seemed to take a personal interest in all their guests. It was a pleasure to stay there and our room was beautifully comfortable and spacious. The only drawback was the long climb from the town centre if walking!

Close to the station and town centre so easily walkable. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was upgraded on arrival- and the room was lovely! Great that it has a gym and spa treatments on site too.

Leewood is a delightful Hotel only 10 minutes walk from the Pavilion Gardens, Opera House and Crescent. The restaurant serves good food and the hours will accommodate early starters and late risers. Rooms spacious and we'll appointed, for the price it reflects good value and we would go back.

Everyone was very friendly. We were offered tea in the lobby by Nicola while relaxing from a neighbourhood walk. Our view from the room looked over the lawn bowling and cricket pitch, very nice. The building is old, with some spongy floors, but that's what we expected. Would definitely stay again. The meals were great and not overpriced.

We liked this hotel and the staff were super. Bedrooms a little tired but comfortable. A minor point was the cold dining room. Even so, we would stay there again.

Booked in to attend a concert at the opera house. Check in was very welcoming and efficient. Room was large with a comfortable large bed. Full english breakfast was individually cooked to order with waitress service.

We arrived early and our room was ready. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and professional. Lee Wood is a beautiful building, with well maintained grounds, and provided free car parking. It's a short walk into Buxton town centre which helped with our 10,000 steps per day! Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast menu was extensive and made to order. Overall a lovely stay.

The hotel is still family run and staff are helpful and friendly. I was informed it has recently been sold and will close for some structural work for about 3 months then reopened under new ownership.

The hotel didn't look to bad but I was shoved into an annexe which felt a bit second class citizen. Room was OK poor TV channels
