Struttura ben curata e con materiali di qualità. Bellissimo ingresso con possibilità di avere caffè e acqua. Self Check in molto semplice. Camera moderna, spaziosa e pulita. Personale molto disponibile. Parking disponibile a 200mt in Corso dei Tintori ma costo elevato (37€ per la notte)

First of all, very unique and beautiful room. However…. We arrived by car at about 5pm on a Sunday afternoon. It’s situated on a busy street in Florence. It took us 20 minutes with an illegally parked car to look for the place. There is no signage outside, only a small plaque on the front door behind a gate. I called the phone number listed and I could hardly hear the person due to loud background dance music. She instructed me to get my room key at a nearby bar. The bartender finally found my room key but there was no check in process. He couldn’t inform me about nearby parking or the checkin process. After finally parking the car (illegally), and dragging my luggage about a km, I finally got into the front doorway, which was cramped and had to hand carry my luggage up to the first floor. The front door leading to the lobby didn’t close well, leaving concern about security. As mentioned, the room was unique and great. The following morning, we were greeted by a nice cleaning lady but still no sign of any front desk staff. Therefore there was no checkout process either. If you’re looking for a unique room, this is your place, otherwise, look elsewhere. Oh, the shower was cold.

Benci House is a beautifully decorated guesthouse in an excellent location, just a few steps from all the main attractions. There is a shared space at the entrance with a lounge area and a coffee machine always available. It doesn’t have a traditional hotel reception; communication with the hosts is done via WhatsApp. For anything you need, you can also reach out to the staff at the café downstairs, where breakfast is served. A tip: if you have paid for breakfast, it is served from 9:00 a.m. as an international breakfast with table service. From 8:00 a.m., a simpler Italian breakfast with cappuccino and croissant is available. Keep this in mind when deciding whether to include breakfast with your stay.
