Super 8 by Wyndham Huntington

The pool and elevator haven’t worked in years. The owner needs to repair or sell the property. We look forward to hotels with pools and I can’t imagine carrying my luggage upstairs

I have used this motel several time in the past 5 years and each year you could see it was more deteriorated. this year was the worst, swimming pool not available, elevator still not working, wifi spotty. The place is just not being cared for. not going back.

Pool & elevator out of order, side entrance door broke, handle replaced with string. Found bugs in room, 2nd room had prior water leak from above, with mold growing on ceiling. Pool and elevator reviews state they haven't been functioning in YEARS..completely unacceptable.

Convenient location. Good price. Elevator out of service, pool out of commission and smoke detector in room not operational.

The swimming pool was not open (again.) The elevator didn't work.

Decent hotel, service was good. Very polite and helpful. Facility is in need if some maintenance. Pool was down along with an elevator. Rooms were clean and comortable.

I have stayed here on numerous occasions. It’s not fancy but you get your money’s worth, if all you need is a place to crash. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool and elevator haven’t worked in years, so you might keep that in mind. I’m staying again in September. Great value

Clean, but lots of condition issues. Elevator and pool both out of commission. A/C in room didn't work right. Shower curtain rod barely stayed up.

Elevator BROKE POOL Drained (broke)?

The staff is very friendly. The pool has been closed for over a year. The elevator was out of order. There were very thick cobwebs from the floor onto about 12 inches onto the elevator door. The water fountain in the hallway did not work. The toilet seat in Our room was about to fall off. It slid when you sat on it. There was paint peeling off the ceiling above the shower and the rim above the shower needed a good cleaning. needless to say, we won’t stay here again, unfortunately. We do make frequent trips to the area,, but we’re very disappointed with this facility.

First room had someones bodily fluid on the the bedding i have pictures. bathroom nasty and had cigarette burns all around it. One of the worst places i have ever been.

The room had a dirty toilet upon check in. In the morning the shower was very cold like no hot water.

The bedding was filthy with stains and hair everywhere, the carpets were not vacuumed, it was absolutely disgusting. the bathroom was full of black mold, my son had asthma attack so bad he ended up going to the Emergency Room, when we were released I just packed up our belongings and went to a different hotel. I was so disgusted.

Very unclean! Worried about bed bugs pillows were very disgusting.

There were cigarette burn holes in the bedspread. The curtains were dirty or water damaged. The carpet was dirty. The bathroom was decent. The desk attendant was nice.

Hotel was old and dirty

I have stayed at super eight before and this one was just bad. Bathroom is dirty, found a dead bug in the bathroom, there was a huge gap in the door so I could actually see out into the hallway and that did not feel secure. Overall, not a super clean room. Very noisy, also the toilet in my room ran on and off the whole night.

The toilet had mold in it, there was a live roach crawling across the bathroom floor, the pool should NOT be listed as it has not been in use for years which we found out after the fact. And the elevator was also out of service. All of the breakfast food was not acceptable and they only had styrofoam cups for coffee. If I could give this a 0 rating, I would!

Room was dirty, linnens/blankets dirty, ring around the toilet, and mold in the bathroom. Not a lot choices offered for the continental breakfast. Pool was out of order.

The S8 is away from the business congestion making the stay quiet and a safe area to walk my dog. There is plenty of area to adequately walk and exercise a dog, even a GSD. The room I occupied showed wear and tear. However, everything worked as expected. Even when the TV went out, I contacted the desk staff, immediate service arrived and reset the connection to have the TV in operation. I would stay again

Bed was comfortable, sheets on upside down. Pillows very thin. TV worked well.

Definitely needs updated. Paint off the walls, door not completely closed.

The staff was great! However, everything was broken or didn't work in the room. The staff was prompt to assist the best they could. You couldn't keep anything plugged into the wall because the electric receptacles were worn out and so loose the plugs just fell out. They had motion sensor wall switches that turned some lights off and on. It was the dumbest thing I had ever seen in a hotel. It made me think I was in a restroom at a gas station. You could not brush your teeth without the light turning off 2 or 3 times. You had to wave at the switch for the light to come back on. If someone used the restroom while others were sleeping at night, the motion would turn on the bright light and wake everyone up. There was no way to disable it. Because the light above the dresser was connected to the sensor switch, you had to plug it into a power strip into which the microwave, TV, and refrigerator were plugged. However, there were only 3 outlets on the power strip, so you had to keep unplugging something to use the light, then unplugging the light and plug back in what you unplugged to use that appliance again. The light turning on and going off with the sensor switch was very annoying. They don't offer daily room service either; trash isn't emptied, beds are not made, etc. We had to ask for clean towels. The elevator was broken. When I was in the area I always stayed there for years. I guess it is under new management now. I won't be back anymore. It was too aggravating.

We have stayed at this hotel before but won’t stay again. This property has gone down. We had several rooms Becky a family reunion. Ours wasn’t as bad as the other rooms. One didn’t have a lick on the door of the room and the bar in the shower to hold on to was broken off.

These pillows were the worst I have ever seen. They were way to over used . Very flat and really needed to be replace, it made you feel like they were never cleaned and over used.

We stayed here for one night. The staff were very nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable. We stayed in the suite and it was a really good size. It was clean but dated. We were a bit disappointed that the jets in the whirlpool tub were broken. The drink vending machine was also out of order when we were looking to get some bottled water. For the price of the room it was good overall and mostly met our expectations for a budget hotel.

Room was decent size and pretty clean. Hole in bathroom ceiling and no vent in bathroom. For a low cost vote it was with the price paid.

Originally someone changed my reservation for a handicapped room I had to have for my husband. They were able to put in another ground floor room for one night and put us in the correct room the next day for the rest of our stay. My understanding from staff manager has taken care of the problem and it shouldn't happen again.

Had 15 mins left before check out and house keeping tried to just walk in the room while I was getting out of the shower !!! Fire alarm was hanging from the ceiling. There was trash from previous stay in the corner of the room . And breakfast was disappointing even the cereal was stale!!!!!!

Unfortunately this stay at the hotel was not what were were expecting in quality as there was no toilet paper not enough towels and felt overly run down as well as unpleasant staff interactions when voicing concerns over all it wasn’t a good experience and we are not likely to return

Unfortunately when I arrived, I was met with many disappointments. The pool was out of commission along with the elevator for our luggage and animal. The staff was able to switch me rooms to the first floor. when I called to make a reservation and make sure that the room was accommodating for my animal I was not told that there would be additional pet fees. I thought it was all included. It was nowhere online, I booked through Expedia. and I also called the hotel itself before I booked the reservation. it ended up being $100 more altogether with the hidden fees and taxes so whatever it says online that is going to be call and make sure what the fees that you’re gonna be met with at the door is. my total online was supposed to be 167 and ended up being 267. They did not offer any money off even though the elevator in pool was out of commission, which is why we chose that hotel in the first place. The sheets itself had stains on them, even though they were washed. The drawers had crumbs and them in the walls had dirt on them. The continental breakfast was open from 6 to 9 and all that you got was cereal. there was a place to make waffles and things like that, but it wasn’t available. Save your self the time and money and book somewhere else. It is worth it to get a nicer hotel

We came for a funeral and were early on arrival because we needed to change.They charged us $25 per room for early check in. I can understand this jf the hotel was packed but it was empty. Front desk lady nice. Rooms clean. Phone was broken. Tv initially didn’t work/got it to work. No one at front desk when we called. Breakfast was fair. But truly it was cheap and let’s be honest beggars can’t be choosers. It was one night and we needed a place to rest our heads.

Piles of dead bugs in the bathroom and in the sink shower was gross with stuff clogging drain asked to be moved to a hamdicap accessible room and was told none was available but the person in our group called 15 minutes later and was able to remt the room all of a sudden otherwise the receptionist was just lazy and rude

Bed was comfortable and staff was friendly. However breakfast was very minimal.

Very nice and inexpensive, even had a nice continental breakfast, including waffles with wafflemaker! Lots of other motels don't serve a decent continental breakfast anymore since covid! It was slightly noisy they were having roof worked on but didn't bother us to much.

It was not an enjoyable stay. The shower rod was hanging slightly, so the shower curtain would slowly open as you were showering. The pool was ice cold and salty. The breakfast was nothing fancy, but the cold cereal was stale and the syrup for the Belgian waffles left a horrible after taste in your mouth.
