Guest reviews

What guests think

AI-generated summary based on recent guest reviews

At Strand Hotel in Norrköping, travellers highlight a charming, historic atmosphere with individually decorated rooms and a homely feel, consistently friendly owners and staff, and a central location near sights and the station that makes exploring easy. Breakfast is widely praised as tasty and adequate, though a few guests found it basic or wished for fresher items. Rooms are often spacious with very comfortable beds and river views available, but some report warmth and noise, limited TV channels or Chromecast only, spotty Wi‑Fi, or mismatches with photos. Cleanliness is generally good yet occasionally inconsistent, and bathrooms can smell damp or feel dated in places. Expect a cozy, characterful stay with limited on site facilities and challenging parking or accessibility for some.

The hotel is situated in an old building near the city hall and the river! It is an old style hotel and it has it's charm! The breakfast is nice, the beds are comfortable and the location is central! The staff are helpful and polite!

I've stayed in some filthy hotels, unfortunately, but this one was the absolute worst. There was urine on the toilet seat, when we checked in. I mean, seriously? The sheets were gray and wrinkled, like they'd never been changed. There was standing water in the sink. ridiculous.

Do not go there! This is not a Hotel. This is some rooms on the 2nd floor of an otherwise private apartment house. Very old, smelly, totally outdated. Totally outdated bathrooms, old beds. Just terrible. This is like a hostel, an expensive hostel, but no hotel. After checking everything, Hotel and room, despite it was prepaid, we decided not to stay there, and went next door to the Elite. That is an actual Hotel and worthwhile to spend the money. I cannot comprehend how the Strand shall have received the good ratings, impossible. Unless their guests were from the 18th century and like smelly old stuff. Access to the house is along the tram line. You cannot stop and unload at the front door. You need to park away from the house, drag the luggage along the street around the house or even from further away to the front door. Elevator to the 2nd floor is there, but then you drag again your luggage over multiple stair cases down and up to get to the room.
